Hi guys, i dont know what happened but since i have put the android NAND on my phone it stops responding. in MAGLR i kept getting FATAL1E error. So fine i decided i will come back to windows 6.5.. i have installed 3.66 officail one and same things keep happening. It will sometimes boot sometimes it wont. It will boot but it wil hard reset instantly. Exacly the same as it was on android. I think it might be broken physicly. I dunno RAM, ROM, CPU ? Any way of checking it ? I dont want to say goodbye to my Leo
Thanks for help

Either a hardware issue or something in NAND causing it.
Here's what I'd do.
1) Flash HSPL if you went back to stock SPL
2) Flash Task29
3) reflash MAGLDR or Stock ROM.
The key here was task29 which will completely erase your NAND so there is nothing left over to mess you up. If it still gives you issues after this I would think hardware.

Thanks for quick replay. I remmember when i was first playing about with android i thinks something messed up the HSPL. The current one i got is SPL-2.08.HSPL 8G XE. Dont know if its the one i should have. ALso when i flash winmo i did it over the cable not straight from the SD card. So im not sure if it has changed SPL. I did use Task29

Download the HD2 Tools from the sticky topic in the Android NAND section and use it to do a clean install.

Yeah but you may not be able to flash task29 without HSPL installed first since task29 is not an official ROM, so you may have to flash HSPL first then task29 then magldr.

hmm this is very strange. Suprisingly after loading the newest ROM and SPL 3.. something with it from the SD card all the problems dissapear. But When i start playing with Hard SPL and MAGLRD it just keeps freezing and kind of overheating. Still keep getting E1 FATAL ERROR. Dunno what its for but my guess is that parts of my memory are broken and it causes data to corrupt. Anyone had situation like that ? Guess i will be stuck on Winmo

yes i have

just if anyone is interested i have solved the problem. For some reason i think the HSPL did not want to work propley. So i have installed HSPL 4 on my 3.03 SPL and then installed clK. After that i have managed to install Clockwork and then NAND clK Typhoon one. Now everything boots up and works like a charm. No issues with overheating and freezing. Thanks to all involved

Well done VipereK027, and thanks for updating us with your solution.

*STUCK* Help Me to Help Him

Hey guys,
I'm in need of solution to an annoying problem.
Earlier today one of the HD2 Android chefs, Motoman, shattered his Hd2 beyond repair. Luckily, his friend had left an Hd2 at his place assuming it was bricked. The device is a tmous HD2 (fairly new) that Motoman previously Hard-SPL'd. The device had worked fine for a while after that and started acting this way out of nowhere.. It can still enter bootloader but when booting normally it won't get past the splash screen.. the weird part is that the red bootup numbers don't show at all. Bootloader shows that hspl is on the device (as shown below)
Code:
PB81120 SS-B3
SPL-2.08.hspl 8G XE
0x05
CotullaHSPL 0x50
I've tried suggested all solutions I can think of including:
- Hard reset
- Task29
- Flashing Radios (yes, the correct versions)
- Flash stock using standard RUU (2.10 | 2.13 | 3.14)
- Flash stock using flashaholicRUU (2.10 | 2.13 | 3.14)
- Removing HSPL and then flashing stock
- Replacing HSPL and then flashing stock
NOTES:
- Can't flash via SD because he only has the stock sandisk 16gb
- When he had tried to flash the first time (after the half-brickness occured) the RUU didn't show a current OS image.. as if the device task29'd itself.
- The flash completes with success everytime and the splash screen changes with the different rom flashing attempts so it's flashing correctly but there seems to be some sort of block on boot..
- The device was mainly used to run android.
So........... is this a hardware issue?
Anyone out there?
This is what happened to my HD2 which leaves the reason why I need to get this other one fixed .
Try booting without the SDcard inserted, maybe its the sdcard causing the issue?
the only thing u could do is get a sd card 2 0r 1gig and try to flash a rom from that
Any luck yet moto? Were you able to find a 1 or 2GB microsd card and give it a try?
Hoping for the best...
R
Whythe HD2 willboot without an SDcard, maybe the sd port is bad, I would think getting the phone to boot is the primary issue here? The idea is to elminiate all possibilities, and the SDcard is the first thing I would remove and try booting.
tried a different battery and with no sd card?
Uhmmm this is kinda a know issues on the LEO1.5.
A lot of Bootloader issues..
I would say reflash bootloader with JTAG.

Well I called a local cell repair store to see how much a new screen would be and I told them the situation I was in and they said to come in so they could look at it. They took the motherboard from my shattered phone and put it in my bricked phone for $35!!!!! And it worked!!!! The software is acting up though. The home screen wont show up for awhile and all I can do is go into the start menu

Lots of ppl are having problems with hardsp and newer tmous hd2, it gets stucked on the bootscreen and never displayed rom radio and protocol vers
my workarround was:
Flashed Tmo's OEM rom
Twice task29
Flashed kumars latest rom
Changed radio to 2.15.50.14
and apparently its cured... hope so...
Why not swap motherboards?

yup, the only issue i had was playing need 4 speed shift on it, at a moment it got stuck so y pushed the reset button, i cr*pped on my pants when it displayed the bootscreen and started to vibrate continously but a quick battery pull off and a boot without SD card solved everything. Now everytime i play nfs my adrenaline rushes! not for the speed but for the fear of brickin my hd2

[HELP NEEDED] Stuck in white bootscreen with no connection

Hey all,
Maybe someone can help me out.
Two weeks ago i installed andoid on my HTC HD2.
I used HPSL, radio 2.15.50.14, MAGLDR112 and NexusHD2-Gingerbread_V2.1_NAND. A few days ago, without any reason i got a white bootscreen and i still have it
What a did so far:
* New HSPL3, but the radio didn't connected anymore, error 270.
* A new MAGLDR, i reached 100% in a blink, but then an error 270.
* Using a SD with the original leoimg, i get a (00018003 radio fail) error after a few % and the update failed.
* task29, but again no connection. (after 5 min error 262)
* new USB drivers installed for windows 7 and i also tried it on an windows Xp computer.
So far i only reached my 4 colored screen with:
PB81100 HX-BC
SPL-2.08. HSPL 8G XE
0x05
CotullaHSPL 0x30
* The original rom was RUU_Leo_S_HTC_NLD_3.14.404.2_Radio_15.42.50.11U_2.15.50.14_LEO_S_Ship
Last question, how can i check that the batttery is stil oke for flashing.
Anyone who has a clue what to do?
Thanks in advance.
greetz!
Rob
Mate, I think you´ve done everything. HSPL and Radio ROM versions correct etc.
Since I see more and more people reporting similar problems like you, I get the feeling that some Android builds might have some strange effects on Radio ROMs.
There are too many people with SPL and Radio ROM problems, eg. stuck in bootloader or at the white startup screen.
This didn´t happen at this pace before Android NAND.
Only 1 question though:
Did you try to flash the original ROM using RUU.exe, SSPL or LeuCustomRUU via USB, without having the SIM and the SD card inserted? In rare cases, either one or both were trouble makers...
EDIT: Second question:
What kind of SD card did you try? Bigger cards seem more problematic, too.
I used a 2 gb micro SD card to go back to the original Rom.
I didn't tried to go back to original ROM using USB, because of the connecting problems. So that i'm gonna do now. Any suggestions which to use best?
After your post i tried to the flash with (and without) the formatted sd and the simcard, unfortunatelly i didn't work.
For last your question i can say that connect your phone to PC when it is off. Then keep down "volume down" button and switch on your phone. You get 4 colored screen. On bottom you can see USB word. Let phone for minimum 1h. And you get more 50% charged battery.
After hour you can flash back to original rom or to MAGLDR and forward normally flash android nand. You dont need disconnect or switch off before flash your phone.
Hope helps.
@tictac0566
Thanks for the options!
I tried the options mentioned in question 1, the problem is the connection USB/Radio. SSPL seems to work, but after 1% again connection error.
After a few test it must be the radio.
I tried to flash only a new radio using LEOIMG, after 99% i get the same error as LEOIMG an original Rom (00018003 radio fail)
With HPSL3_PKG i also can't go back to SPL 2.08.000.
So the problem must be there.
Anyone has an idea?? Can i use another radio? If yes, than which?
Thanks!
Still no solution
Tried many things, still the radio is not working.
It could be also HPSL3, because i can't go back to spl 2.08 (or any other (h)spl with the app.
Anyone has an idea??
Just trying to help here, but have you tried doing everything from the start?
task29 and everything else?
Hey i seem to have the same problem as you except my white screen wasnt after a flash, it just randomly went white one day and wouldnt boot.
I have tried MTTY, i can connect via usb but after formatting via MTTY and then attempting to flash a new rom (ship and custom) it just stays on 0% and doesnt do anything else.
Sorry to hijack thread just thought whilst people are looking they can help me too

Can you go into bootloader? If you can then your problem can be solved. The problem you are having might have been because you unintentionaly installed or uninstalled a programm and that corrupted your rom.
To both of you. Try to flash using the leoimg.nbh step. If it doesn't work then the rom you used is not compactible with your device, try another till you find one that will work with your device. I know it is tiring to do something like that, here a tip from me, the rom you are expected to use in this process must be in the native language of your phone or else it will not work. You can't just use any stockrom to do it. I hope it helps.

Yes i tried, but mine HD2 stays on SPL-2.08 HPSL.
I used HSPL3_PKG and HSPL2 in different but still SPL-2.08 HSPL.
Maybe there's where my problems are, but i als can be an corrupt radio.
Anyone an other way to back to SPL 2.08.000 or how to fix the radio?
Then your best bet is to flash with a goldcard

Yes i can get into bootloader. I have tried using MTTY task 29 to format the device then i searched on the HTC site for a compatible ROM. Turns out the only one that doesnt give a negative response when i type in my serial number is the ROM from Taiwan. Tried flashing that using the SD card method and the USB method. Sd card method hangs at 0% and i get a connection error in USB method. I have also tried the latest ROM from Dutty.
If a ROM is not compatible how do you know? Does it hang at 0% or does it finish loading and then wont boot from there.
I have even tried flashing just a radio with the same results.

Yes i tried all different types of HSPL and even SSPL. From the bootloader screen i run the .exe from the computer and it goes through and says 'operation finished successfully'
But when i get back to the bootloader it still says the same HSPL, which is 1.66
Also to note when i power on the device i can hear a small 'click' from it. Could be much worse and be a hardware problem?
Still no solution.
Oke guys, thanks for answering my threat so far!
Still trying to get my HTC back to life.
Is it possible that my problem is in HSPL? (see attachments)
After the white screen i tried to reinstall HPSL 2, 3 and 1, but during the instal my HTC reboot (without the signal "We Hacked It"
I also tried different SD card for LEOIMG, still radio fail 00018003.
One thing i didn't tried is using a goldcard, i downloaded the app but i need a working HTC HD2 to make the card.
Anyone?
No you don't, there you go :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=874304
Goldcard is the old method to install a custom rom way before HSPL became popular
so if HSPL don't work then Goldcard wont as well but hey you can still try
I think its more of a hardware problem now since all attempts for software repair is not successful. I had the same situation as yours, white screen then radio fail, tried all solutions but still no luck
sameeeeee
i have the same problem 100%
i already try all these solution and no one is worked
however, some one told me that maybe the problem with the Flash memory of my HD2 because he already try to solve / or already solve such problem "but unfortunately he lost the tools he was used"
this tools is can check the memory and told which memory chunk is corrupted
please if any one know this tools or had it please posted it on.....
That app should be Task 29.

Start from the begining.
No need to reflash HSPL 2.08 nor Radio
Task 29
MAGLDR or cLK
ClockWorkMod recovery. In recovery go Storage and mount and format all partitions (just in case) except ofcourse recovery.
Flash ROM from recovery.
And tell us how it did go and when exactly (if) stuck.
thx btw, havent done task29...
we'll see
seems to task29 did the job to me

Did you really follow everything step by step?
With the problem you describe, people usually forgot to flash the correct HSPL or Radio ROM.
It must be 2.08.HSPL and Radio ROM 2.15.50.xx, before installing MAGLDR 1.13.
Sometimes, incompatible SD cards make trouble, too.

TMOUS?
If you've got the "other" (US 1024) HD2 you might have properly screwed your phone up
If you've got the European (512) non-TMOUS version then you've done something wrong on one of the steps. No more than pointers here though. You will have to search for yourself in the Development Pages.
1.HSPL
2.Correct Radio
3.MagLdr
4.ROM
In any case this Forum will help solve your issues.

Stuck on HTC screen as well!
I have tried it all!
Task 29, reinstall HSPL, reinstalled stock Winmo 6.5, reinstall MAGDLR 1.13, Radio 2.15, etc...
Stock 6.5 rom boots run fine.
Win 7 ROM install fine but then hangs on HTC screen forever! Been looking at it for 30 mins now!
This is highly annoying as everything was working fine last week!
Weirrrrrdddd.
Anybody got tips on this?

What version of HSPL did you install?
And about WP7, did you installed from the bootloader or MAGDLR USB Flash?
Hey @xsi!
Got 2.08.HSPL
Flashed WP7 through MAGDLR. Everything is going smooth, partitions ok but reboot stuck on HTC logo for ever!
Tried to reinstall Android through Clk no problems, Android boots fine and all, flashed WP7 through MAGDLR after but same thing happens!
Maybe a problem with Clk NAND partitions?

[Q] White Screen of Death [HELP]

I've been searching for over 20hours around the internet for any solution to the so dreadful White Screen of Death in HD2.
This is due to a Radio Rom incopatible with the device. May be called Radio Brick! Lol
Well, it's truly desperating, as no method tried works!
The phone as soon as it's turned on just shows a white screen, no letters, no nothing.
Happened when I - dumbly - flashed a incompatible radio rom...
It has happened to a lot of other good people, but no solutions yet arrived to the internet!!!
In my case, I have hspl 2.08, and can perfectly access to bootloader, but flashing anything through SD does NOT work.
WHAT I'VE TRIED:
-flashing stock rom from HTC site, but when it comes to the radio part... UPDATE FAILED!
-tried a method here in XDA that solved a case like this but nothing... when it comes to flashing the radio, it always fails
-tried downgrading HSPL to SPL or to another version of HSPL.. curiously, the process says it was sucessfull but it changes nothing.. when i go to bootloader again the version is the same, no matter what kind of version I select...weird!
-nothing flashed through RUU works because comunication fails after 5min at 0%
-task 29 - does nothing
-changing rom/radios - always gives an error in radio update
I'm really, really, REALLY desperate, and I believe i'm not the only one in this situation!
Does someone have a brilliant idea on this?
I got it working again a couple of times but then it starts freezing after 10 hours and then i get again the whitescreen..
Now its stuck at bootloader i can't get in magldrboatloader does some1 known how i get into magldr because than i can flash another rom because in boatloader i can't flash
Hello,
I also have same problem I also cannot find a solution, Hope somebody can help us.
try j-tagging your devices !!
also it may be a hardware issue !!
good luck !!
Are you sure flashing through SD isn't working? Format the SD card new as FAT not as FAT32. And try to rename the the nbh file with into LEOIMG.NBH . Flash through a SD not a SDHC. Try this things, if they aren't working maybe j-tagging fix it.

you'll have to try flashing your device again and again !?
but i think j tagging is the best option for this problem !! !!
you can go to the original htc store if you have not flashed hspl !!
(flashing hspl voids warranty !) !! also try to stock spl to 1.42.0000 by using hspl2 !!! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611433
if the bootloader screen (the three color screen) show 1.42.0000 spl then u can show it to the official htc stores !!
else
contact a local repair shop and try to jtag !!
may help !!
good luck !! !
So there is no fix i can do at home like flashing a specific rom or something else?

The best thing you can do is update the kernel version. I haven't had a WSOD for more than half of year.
The only kernel I've had this problem with was a rafpigna kernel on a sense rom. It was a build made in the first trimester of this year.
SPL-2.08. HSPL

The best thing you can do is update the kernel version. I haven't had a WSOD for more than half of year.

ROM Redux2
Kernel Tytung (Redux2 have Tytung 12.4 by default)
how about hardware reset with pressing 3 keys at the same time?
Let me explain whats happing me all the time:
First my phone freezed up all the time and after a couple of weeks I got the [wsod] I can boot into bootloader (3 color screen) there I can flash it back to the original stock (WiMo6.5)
But I want android for my whatsapp and I like android. So I put maglder 1.13 on my phone. Then I tried android NAND flashing this worked but afther 10 hours my phone is off and I got the [wsod] again. I flashed my radio first to 2.15 but didnt help I tried this 2 times.
Yesterday I flashed my hd2 I followed a guide for android sd flashing I put the radio 2.12 on my phone and a old rom. I flashed it with haregt.exe it worked for 10 hours again then boom [wsod]
Im realy desperate, have some1 fixed this problem by himself already?
Did you try to run winmo for a few days? If you have problems even with stock OS most probably is hardware issue. If everything is OK running winmo then try fresh install (task29, radio, magldr, predefined recovery,ROM) of this ROM:

For me works perfect.HD2 EU Radio 2.15.50.14
