really not new

Indeed, it's an easteregg that comes standard with gingerbread so it's very old.
Though it's always nice to see people this enthousiastic when they think they've discovered something new

What ROM/OS are you using.....
Once I click on Advanced/Resolution....it shows the current setting, then at the bottom there is a page scroll to view the settings and I can successfully select to my desire. If that does not work I take it you are on a custom rom maybe...possible bug

24h time format

Hi,
is there a solution to change the AM/PM format ? I would like to set to 24 hours fomat, and i can't !!!
if someone has an idea
I'd be interested to know this too if anyone finds out.
I think am/pm just looks so... childish
Hi on mine i just tap big clock and in world clock screen go into menu and bottom option is 24hr clock
go to
settings--> Locale and text--->regional and scroll down, there is the option
Settings - Date and Time - check "24-hour format"

Try and look here:
Settings --> Menu on the bottom right corner --> All Settings --> System --> Regional Settings.
I chose Italy in the Region tab, and in the Time tab I chose in Time Style HH:mm:ss and then moved both AM and PM to blank.
Try!
Ah, very very good!
Thanks!

Edit default 'dock' icons?

Hey guys, sorry if this has been answered, I did search, I swear!
I've heard I should be able to edit the dock icons other than the app/home icon.. For the love of God I can't figure out how!
Anyone want to enlighten me?
EDIT:
Turns out they called it 'apps' and 'toolbar':
t=726399
go into the app draw > menu > edit then drag and drop to the toolbar.

Is this in the regular settings menu?
I opened up my applications and then selected the context button and changed the type to custom, and then selected edit.

That worked!! Thank you!!
I must be stupid because I dont get it... when i go in my apps and click menu I just have the option to sort... nothing about editing anything
Edit:
Click application menu>edit>customizable grid
Then in applications menu>edit

open app draw > menu > view type > customizable grid > take you back to app draw.
menu > edit > takes you back to app draw > press and hold icon to move it or drag to the tool bar.
Shooooo. That's the antonym of intuitive.
FYI to the OP and to others who may not have know, this and a lot more is in the sticky.

Cm10.1 performance settings

Just flashed cm10.1 from cm10 and noticed that the performance tab in settings is no longer there... Am I missing something??? Did it get moved or removed?
Had a hard time finding it as wel after updating, but this worked for me!
Tyler83 said:
Yes, it's integrated as of the last updates. It switches directly by touching the icon and it doesn't bring you to the settings
Quick settings works and you can also change the i/o scheduler, I just did it. If you don't see the performance section under "System Settings" you have to enable it by touching 7 times in a row the "build number", which is the last item in the "Phone Info" settings.

I see this is a month old thread, but it was the first hit on Google but the answer wasn't clear. Performance settings are unlocked the same way as Developer settings. Open settings, scroll down and select About phone, then scroll to the bottom and click on the Build number several times. After clicking it a few times you'll get a message that says you're only a few clicks away from being a developer. Keep clicking.
That worked... Sweet thanks for the tip!!!!

[Q] development debug mode!!!!

ok so has anyone found this i've looked through the settings and can't find it..
Find attached screen shots of settings menus.
