Is there going to be a wp7 7.1 rom for hd2 anytime soon? I'm starting as an app development for wp7 the apps I have done are for 7.1 and I cannot install them in my hd2 wp7.
Device: HTC-HD2 (TMOUS)
Radio: 2.15
Rom: JW MIUI 1.5.27
Bootloader: CLK 1.3.3 (Wrapper B5)
What is WP7 7.1? Mango? Or NoDo?
The highest version available is 7.0.7392 which would be the NoDo update.
Mango, is that available officially?

yeah I guess mango, I'm not sure if it is out yet, but since you can already develop for it I though it was out.
Yes there are several NoDo ROMS for the HD2.
It seems that Mango (7.1?) is available to developers, but not as an OS for end users. I guess it will be available as MS announced, later this year.
Microsoft released mango SDK for developers, maybe there will be mango rom leak soon

Nah, they were just waiting to announce their new HTC Desire Z and HD phones.
No news about the froyo update, anyone?

HTC have already been contacted about this, the wildfire will NOT be updated until the desire is full updated on ever carrier and also the global stock rom as been updated. HTC commented on that the desires update could not be streamlined thanks to all the custom carrier roms this is why it taken so long, and bad news to virgin customers they wont get a OTA update any time soon even if the wildfire did get updated as there rom is not a stocked edited rom its a striped down 3pay rom.
HTC also commented there had no plains for a OTA update for virgin 3pay and another carrier in the UK it will be just a stock update when all the over carrier updates are done. Sorry I can't comment on witch US companys wont get the OTA update but there was some I just don't remeber witch ones they said.
Hi guys,
Did you know that the Chinese Wildfire is released with stock 2.2 ROM?
http://www.htc.com/cn/product/wildfire/specification.html
"Platform Android ™ 2.2, built-in HTC Sense ™"
Isn't there any leak of the Chinese ROM or a system dump?

What is your source on that information? I can't wait
SFR French Mobile Opération asked that they will updated their DHD on begin of April.
It's seem that if is possible for SFR to do that update that HTC has already propose the update to 2.3
There are a couple of threads already regarding this:

One topic is old and the other is comedy..
Anyone has updated info?

Yes, but instead of creating a new thread, this could have been discussed in one that already exists.
When will there finally be a 7720 rom ready to go out the box for the hd2 without having to use updates cabs/files. WE NEED THIS!!!!
You know you can update to the official Mango release via Zune, right!?

@PrometheusUnbound I can make a bet you have no developing experience and don't know what's the fundamental difference between any beta and final version, huh?
I won't load beta with all the test and debugging crap switched on! This way is simply for an early-adopters who want to see and get something before anybody else ... who don't care about reliability and stability
BTW: I don't believe that Beta Cleanup CAB is really cleaning everything... even perfectly cleaned beta will never be as good (= quick and stable) as the final release.

No you don't. Back to the Future ROM is the only ROM you'll ever need. Fully Zune up-dateable and customizable thanks to Yuki and XBoxMod. HD2 is now native.

Are you on . . . what is this?
The beta clean-up, cleans up the beta version.
It's not science, just read the words, don't start flaming a member for posting helpful remarks, that point to the answer of the question asked.

Even if you bought a native WP7 phone, you would still want to use cabs, and still want to update it via Zune.
A full-unlocked DFT mango ROM may be your solution.
@ exbros, there is also a fundamental difference between an RTM and a beta.

I know. I know what are the differences between beta, RTM and final versions exactly.
But some people don't.
Even though, they think, they have something to say.
End of story.
