Can't receive mms.

I have the tethering apn set running gingerblur. I cannot receive mms. I can send them tho. Can someone give me their default mms apn so I can compare? im pretty sure its correct

These details will be carrier specific, if you do a quick google search for your carriers name and mms apn settings you will probably find they differ slightly to the internet apn settings. Many carriers use a blank apn with type mms for this.

If you froze the stock sms app. you will not be able to receive mms or if they are sent from a Iphone and have not been resized.

After you unfroze it you need to reboot your phone.

Why do iPhone mms have to be resized in order to work on the Atrix??

I´ve also had lots of problems with my mms settings, right now everything seems to be working fine though .
My fix was to make sure I hade the correct apn-settings for my mms (I actually forgot to put the "http://" in the MMSC line ), then everything worked fine for a couple of days. Today I couldn't recieve MMS so I installed GO SMS Pro, and as if by magic everything started to work again . Hopefully it will last this time .

Update your PRL / Profile, then reboot. See if that helps.

Did that before i came on here. Failed messages say generic network failure. Guess its them not me

I just had to call and rip sprints stuff cause my service was supposed to be fixed in october now its not till Janruary so yeah im pissed beyond belief, their looking to lose me back to T-Mobile, i mean whats the use of their TRULY unlimited data if it and ther service it comes with blows

Usually this is the only glitch I get. I hear they are bringing 4G here. Sprint and verzion are the big ones here. Sometimes wish I could run my phone to use everyone's towers

We do have a force roam zip made up by prboy andd jadeboy but its for MikShifted-G and Supreme Sense

Well the first thing you should do is upgrade to MikShifted G v1.76. It's just a patch, so you won't lose any of your info. You can find the upgrade HERE. After you do that the MOD you want is on THIS THREAD. On that thread was also a link on how to change the PRL.

Force roam didnt work. And sprint data reset code for its msl isnt doing anything either

Do you mean ##775# ? When you say Force Roam didn't work, what exactly do you mean? Just trying to get a better grasp of what you mean.

##72786# and ##3282#, i typed it and the display showing what i typed went blank. The only way to get the touch pad to respond again was to hit the home button. And my phone did use the mod and i forced it to roaming but it still gave me a generic network error.

I am also having MMS problems. I used MikG 1.76. I switched back to x99percent Sense Stock rooted GB update 2.76.651.5. Works fine now. Maybe something having to do with MikG Rom. Mik hasn't updated it in awhile. Just released a few mods since 1.76

Not sure what your trying to do with ##72786# , as far as I know that's not a real code. ##3282# should bring up the ESPT menu, View or EDIT. Choose EDIT then enter your MSL. ##775# , is also valid. Just checked both on MikSHifted G, both codes work. Also just tried the Force Roam mod, all good. If you already updated your PRL / Profile. Try booting into recovery Wipe Dalvik, Wipe Cache, and then reboot.

I have several phones running both MikShifted G v1.76 and none have issues with MMS/SMS.

I have done a programing reset. And everything suggested except the change pro thing. Couldn't find the link. And I still got nothin. It's them not me

Both sms and mms are heavily dependant on mobile data network. If you are connected to wifi and you are in a area with poor mobile data network or you don't have a mobile data plan then a lot of times you will not be able to send/receive texts or mms. If you have a mobile data plan try turning off your wifi before sending or to check for received messages.

Ok I Reflashed the MikG 1.76 and its starting to work again. No Generic Network Failure anymore. Sent mms on WiFi within seconds. No problem at all. Maybe it is the PRL. Try Reflashing the ROM completely if PRL doesn't work.

I called my local sprint store. Theyve been having other people with the same issue. They said two dozen since they opened today and i called at 11am. They have people working on it

Yeah that happened to me before in the area I use to live in. The mobile network was messed up and they kept telling me that they were working on it. But it never really seemed to improve much until I moved.

[Q] Problem with sending Picture MMS/SMS

I sometime have this problem with sending picture MMS (N4 4.2.2), it is just writing "Sending" and nothing happened ...
I looked around here and saw that a few mentioned it before but with no proper answer to solve this issue ?
anyone know ?

This is possibly due to incorrect APN settings on your phone. You should be able to look up the APN settings for your carrier and check in your phone to see if they are set up correctly. Also, are you using the stock messaging app or something else from the Play Store? Some other messaging apps, such as GO SMS Pro, may require the APN settings to be set up in the app too, not just in the phone settings.

Are you on at&t? If so, I sometimes have issues with MMS when connected to a microcell. I also noticed too, that on at&t branded phones there is an extra MMS port option that's not present on AOSP/vanilla ROMs. That too may be part of the issue. All assuming you're on at&t.

From what I could tell after translating the page to English, this should help you check your APN settings on your phone. Read the section for Android devices with version 4 and verify these settings are set properly on your phone. Let us know how it goes.

Make app think data is wifi.

I play nova 3 on my GS4 but it refuses to use my data network, only wifi. So how do I make it think my data is wifi?

Check the settings in the app. If you can't toggle it there you probably won't be able to do it. Why do you want to waste all your data playing a game anyway

I could think of a few reasons. Perhaps while travelling or in an are that has no WiFi. Also, some of us still have unlimited data plans.

Well, the app is going to be looking for two system variables: a true return if the Wifi is enabled and a true return if a valid Wifi connection is established. You can't trick the program, its looking at device states which can't be changed.
Without an option in the app itself, this is a no go.

Yeah but on the iPhone theres a jailbreak app that does this it just spoofs the device to think that it is connected through wifi when it is really data, I'm not sure if it spoofs the whole phone or the app, but I really thought it was possible... but you're probably right. I guess I'm just stuck using wifi.

How can I fix Mobile Networks?

Hi my Mobile Networks settings are mess. It only show me the (Data Roaming, Network Mode and System Select) the option for entering the Access Point is no longer there I just want to know if there is a way to fix it. Any Help...

No way to fix it, it's locked down via Sprint. Older firmware revisions didn't have it locked. Believe me, I'd love to change mine as well so I could use Hangouts or some other txt msg app and send picture messages on wifi.

No I'm not root, but my phone was unlock a couple months ago to work with MetroPCS and I used to have those options in mobile networks and I'm looking for a way to put back it was. Any help will be good.

I try factory reset, back to stock but I still missing (Access points and Network providers) options.

I had the same problem and got the option back using "my apn switch" from Google Play Store.
I'm new to this device so I'm winging it, use at your own risk
