Hi Im posting here as i cant post on the main dev forum.
Please tell me if im being thick but. when i check the net locks on phone it says
[] 5
[] 5
[] 5
[] 5
[] 0 thats abriviated but you get the picture.
but when i go through the settings it seems to be not locked to a network but the personal security locked to a sim card and i was wondering if thats why the sd card also does not work becuase its security locked not network locked.
please tell me if im being thick.
I was told no X's means unlocked.
mine is
[x] 10
[] 10
[] 10
[] 10
[] 0
so mine is deff unlocked but still wont connect to network and sd card does not work.
So is the
Settings > Location & Secutrity > Set up Sim lock.
causeing the problem with my phone.
does my phone think the wrong card is in.
tryed 0000 to unlock and it wont.
Seems like you got ripped off. A lot of idiots sell broken stuff on Ebay. That is why I only buy things from companies and never buy anything over $100.
If it hasn't been 21 days start a claim through Paypal.
"Settings > Location & Secutrity > Set up Sim lock."
I think that is for blocking people from picking up your phone and making a call without the code.

Hi guys,
i've been wondering the last days if my Xperia is unlock-able by code?
Looking around at the forum i remember to have read that one guy was having the same situation as mine and managed to work, but dont know if it was a coincidence.
It writes, under the SIM lock menu
[x] Network 10
[] Network Subset 10
[] Service Provider 10
[] Corporate 10
[] SIM 0
Best method would be using the USB cable. It is instant and fool proof unlike the codes.

[x] Network 10 means your phone is not counter blocked yet, in other words you still have 10 attempts to put in your unlocking code before the phone locks itself and you will NOT be able to use the unlocking code anymore. From my experience anyways. If this is a new X10, I suggest you pm the guy above, he's helped me before. I've suggested HTCCode.com to my buddies in this forum who had the same problem as me and all of them were happy with the results. You can try a couple of unlocking services online first such as http://www.mobileincanada.com/ or look it up on ebay. But if it's a new phone, chance is, the IMEI will not be in their database. Hope this helps, pm me if you need further help
oh...and if your phone is counter-blocked, you're only way to unlock the phone is by the USB cable method like what ferraripassion said. G'luck!
@ferraripassion - I know, but as long as i've seen is quite expensive, compared to code unlocking.
@junkk29 - thank you for the answer

I know it's not the cheapest option out there, but if your phone is counter-blocked, your only option is the cable unlocking method with HTCCode. Trust me, I've tried many of the unlocking services out there, I've even bought the so called 'manufacturer's code' which took a couple of days to get and was guaranteed to work 100% but it didn't. It cost me $40 as well, and the guy never refunded me until I filed a complain with PayPal. If you're phone is not counter-blocked and you can wait a couple of weeks so that the unlocking services can update their database; feel free to do so
X10 unlocked!
Dear friends, i want to say thanks to user "cagueca", he unlocked successfully my X10a by code! Payed 30 Eur, got the code by email, all OK. Protugal Vodafone original lock!
[Q] (Unlocked) AT&T Samsung Galaxy S4 SGH i337 gives MM#6 error for MetroPCS SIM Card
Hello everyone. I feel that I have a rather unique issue here.
My sister recently bought an AT&T GS4 from eBay to use here under a MetroPCS service. I took it to a local phone shop in order to have it unlocked. I am not a noob when it comes to rooting/unlocking/ROMing/etc. since I've done so and experimented with my Verizon HTC Rezound. Since I've nearly bricked my Rezound three times, I decided that I should leave it to someone more experienced.
I took it in, within 2hrs the guy had the phone unlocked for me. He put in a Simple Mobile SIM card, I called my own phone and it worked. I take it to Metro PCS to have my sisters current line transferred to a SIM card to use the GS4 with. The problem is that whenever the SIM card is put into the phone and turned on, it says Phone not allowed (MM#6). I then proceeded to look up the IMEI to see if its blacklisted. I checked online and it said that it was clean. I also went to a corporate AT&T store to have them check if it is indeed blacklisted and they said that it is clean. While at the store, I decided to look through the phone for anything unusual. After checking the Status of the phone, I find that the IMEI value is 0. I then hit the *#06# menu and get a popup which says IMEI 0/04. I let the Sales Rep know and ask him if that could be an issue and he said that whoever I took it to might have messed up with the root and that there's nothing they can do since I don't have service with them.
I thought that maybe the phone wasn't connecting to the network because it wasn't set on the GSM radio so I used the *#*#4636#*#* menu but yet nothing happens. I added the APN values for T-Mobile (works for MetroPCS) and still no luck. I even tried factory resetting the phone but whenever I add the SIM card, I keep getting the same popup. In the Service Menu (*#0011#>>Back>>Key Input: 1) UMTS Main Menu, I hit [2] Version Info >> [1] SW Version >> [1] Read IMEI >> and it says "IMEI NOT ACTIVE."
I started looking around the net to see if I can restore and/or repair the phone and I've seen YouTube videos of people unlocking the code by using the Service Menu. Currently, I'm looking around the XDA Forums to see if there is anything I can try out. I'd appreciate the help. I do not want to install any ROMs on my sister's phone unless I absolutely have to. If anything, at the moment I'm trying to flash back to stock. Does anybody know anything about this issue? Also, if I am posting in the wrong area, I apologize for the inconvenience.
You need to put the original imei back to your phone, because the guy unlock the phone for you he messed up with your phone 's imei that why after unlock the phone shows zero imei

You're not alone on this one. I bought an AT&T S3 and having the exact same issue as you are. Here's my story...LOL. I met with a gentleman at the local AT&T store. We checked the IMEI, verified it was in good standing. Since he's the original owner, I purchased the phone from him. I use my MetroPCS SIM, and I get the same "MM#6" code you described. I'm very familiar with using AT&T phones on MetroPCS. I have transferred two NOTE 2s and an S4 to Metro accounts with no issues at all. BTW...the IMEI is still in good standing & when I insert a MetroPCS SIM, the IME still shows in the AT&T S3.
My Phone specs: Samsung Galaxy S3
Carrier: AT&T
Version: Android 4.3
What I've tried:
Downgrade to 4.1.1 (Unfortunatley, bootloader can not be downgraded)
There's two things I can think of...The Android version has something to do with it. Or...I've found out that my S3 was used overseas. And since your phone was from Ebay, theres no telling how the phone was used.
My next step is to purchase a clean SIM card from MetroPCS and have transferred to my account. I'll keep you posted on my findings. For now, I'd go to AT&T store and use their SIM and see if your IMEI comes back. Or downgrade the phone if possible and start from the bottom and work your way up.

Heres my update. MetroPCS SIM card is "married" to each IMEI/PHONE. My phone in question (the ATT S3) was not correctly associated with my account. I called MetroPCS customer service (1-888-8METRO8) gave them the ATT S3 IMEI and the SIM number. within 10 minutes, the ATT S3 was up and running. I hope it helps.
Please provide feedback.
I had a similar issue with MM#6
I called MetroPCS - informed them I was receiving MM#6 error and asked them to 'activate' my phone.
Gave them my IMEI and within a few minutes, I was golden!
WORKED
Thank you for your update worked perfect...:d:d:d

According to androidorigin.com these steps will allow u to sim unlock ur phone.
- Insert the new SIM card into the Galaxy S5
- Turn the Galaxy S5 off and then turn it back on
- Open the Dialler application, and type in *#197328640#
- Then select [1] UMTS > [1] Debug Screen > [8] Phone Control > [6] Network Lock > Options [3] Perso SHA256 OFF
- After all this, you will need to wait about 30 seconds before pressing the back button
- Now that you’re back at the main menu you should see a Network Lock message
- Now select [4] NW Lock NV Data INITIALLIZ
That’s it! Your Samsung Galaxy S5 is now unlocked and should work on the network for the SIM card you just put in. It’s said that this special code and sequence has been used by Samsung engineers for a while and for lots of different Samsung devices, which also include the*Galaxy Note 3. So, even if you own a Samsung smartphone, other than the Galaxy S5, this might still work for you.

What does that mean? So we can use Verizon S5 with an AT&T SIM?
Is this confirmed work?
This is a S3 unlock method that will not work on the S5. There are many existing threads on the subject and no one is finding it to work for the S5.
Any luck with this?

Well you would have found that out by reading the post 3 above yours.
Hi,
I just purchased an as new unlocked note 4 from someone on gumtree, they have been posting for years so don't think i have a dodgy phone, i sent my brother to pick the phone up from their home while i was working and he said they unlocked the password while he was there.
But i have just tried a couple of sims and i get the message " sim network unlock pin"
I have tried to contact the person but he works away off shore and don't know when he will get back or reply.
Is there a way to get by this and get my sim working?.......i was planning on rooting the phone anyway.
Thanks for any replies!
You will need to get the unlock code because it's locked to a particular network.
You can usually tell which network it's locked to because it has bloatware from that network installed.
Also in the settings on "about phone" tab it should give you some letters at the end of the firmware version which will tell you what network.
Mine was locked to O2 and I used this guy.
Gave me code in a few hours.

Hi, There does not seem to be any bloatware installed from any network....the phone does look like a bought unlocked phone. Maybe the owner has put a sim lock on the phone himself?
download the Samsung Info app from Play Store, it should tell you eveything you need to know(root wont unlock network)and no way the seller put a network lock, in terms of unlocking you'll need the code. Some service providers supply them at no fee and some at a fee, alternatively you have a plethora of online options usually at a small cost to provide code, gl.
Hi Guys
My Moto x play haven't been able to register to network since last tuesday,
I bought the phone myself off carrier, so it is not blacklisted (I also checked with a bunch of websites in case they accidentally registered it, and its shown as not reported lost or stolen)
I tried to unlock boot loader so I can flash modems , roms , see if its a software issue. nothing works
I can see the networks if I do manual scan but when I try to connect it says can't register on network, or sometimes
it can register for a few minute, if I switch to 3G only but can't dial out, then it would drop connection again
Its been more than a year so warranty is already done anyways (also unlocked bootloader)
just wondering if this is hardware issue , in which case I would just stop wasting my time try to revive it
Thanks

Try flashing official stock rom first
