Need help on the SBF process. I am using the RSD Lite 4.8 and trying to flash C:\VRZ_MB810_2.3.34_1FF_01.sbf.
RSD recognizes the phone but when I press start, it keeps on failing. I am pretty sure I have the drivers loaded up.
I am also running as Admin.
What am I doing wrong? I tried 4.7 with the patch but no luck.
nevermind seems like i had the wrong file

I have bootloader 30.04 after using liberty 1.5 I wanted to try out Rubix Focused. Everything was going well till my I tried to flash the watermarkd theme. Went through all the steps rebooted using Koush bootstrapper rocovery and when it restarted stuck at splash screen. After searching around I found out I could get into bootloader menu and reflash. My phone said low batteery cannot program. After cutting a USB in half and jump starting my battery I was able to get it into bootloader and it said battery ok, okay to program. Connect data cable. Make a long story short RSD lite will not recognize my phone I was using 4.9 and was later recommended to use 4.8 as a lot of people had trouble with 4.9 Any advice on this and how I can bring my phone back to life? I can get into boostrap recovery on the Android Recovery system which we all know is kinda useless for the purpose. Am I going to have to SBF Flash my phone? What if it wont recognize the phone after using 4.8 What are my options?! I need to get my phone up and running asap and i've been working on this for like 3 days now. Can anyone give me detailed instructions that could help me restore my phone? I did make a nandroid backup too, I just cant get to the bootstrap recovery for some reason. Only bootloader or Android Recovery. Please Help!!
Make sure you have the latest drivers installed. What OS are you using? If using Windows 7 you have to run as administrator(by holding shift + right click then click run as administrator . Also I had to rename my sbf file to C:/abc.sbf my computer would only recognize the sbf on the root of my C drive.
I was messing with the phone trying to do stuff and long story short I cannot boot up for nothing! Here's what I get:
- I turn it on, and all it says is:
FAILED TO BOOT 1
STARTING RSD MODE
Everything else is BLACK SCREEN
What I have tried so far.
Used rsd lite 4.9 and installed the SBF FILE:
OLYFR_U4_1.2.6_SIGNED_OLPSATTSPE_P012_HWolympus_1g_1FF.sbf
It reads and tries to flash but the atrix reboots on the SAME screen mentioned above. And the RSD on my PC says FAILED FLASHING PROCESS!
What more can I do guys/girls?
Is it bricked? Whoever shows me how to get it running I will gladly paypal you some money for your time. Thanks!

You could start by removing external sdcard if you have one in there then try RSD flash back to 1.2.6.

Removed it and the sim card.
Just downloaded RSD LITE 5.0 and it worked.
thanks cyberpunk for responding!
Should maybe not be in the dev forums???
sigh... This is why companies are making it harder to root.
Moved to proper forum.
I installed the radio update from Ken, but the baseband still shows 1.77.00, but i saw that the latest is the 1.97.00. When i install the 1.97.00 mod from the other thread (not by Ken) i get the 1 signal bar issue, so i want to use kens.
What am i doing wrong?
The latest AT&T radio is 1.77.30P
1.97.00 is not an "official" radio for AT&T.
It works, but it has its own issues.

flashing radios through fastboot doesn't work. you need rsd lite. install the radio from the sbf with rsd lite and it will work.

1. Install RSD lite 5.3.1 get it here---> http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=634879&d=1308872277
2.(granted the phone drivers are already installed) Launch RSD and search for the Radio SBF with RSD lite(or drag and drop). Turn phone off and connect USB(USB on back of PC)
3. Turn phone on while holding up on the volume rocker.
4. Phone will show " Starting RSD protocol support".
5. Hit start on RSD once it recognizes the phone.
6. Let it install, phone will reboot. Should be good to go!

No guide, you flash the sbf with RSD lite like any other sbf. usb debugging, power off phone, hold volume up button, while holding volume up button, turn on phone, should say starting rsd, plug in phone to computer, have RSD lite on computer open, choose sbf, flash.
We've been moving away from RSD in general though as it's always riskier, evne though radio sbf is generally safe.
Another alternative is to download the fruitcake version of the radio in samcripp's fruitcake thread. That installs via tenfars cwm
Safer than SBF flashing - Fruit Cakes !

I have tried updating the radio with both SBF and CWM. The baseband updated, but wifi will still not connect? I have a rooted Atrix, and have tried multiple ROM's all with the same result. Currently I am running Alien 3. Thanks for the help.

download the sbf 3.6.8 zip
download rsd lite 5.6
download moto drivers 5.4
connect your droid pro with usb cable to computer
open rsd lite, select sbf 3.6.8 and click start
DO NOT unplugg the phone until rsd lite has fiinished and you can see the phone booting, mine was bricked and this is what i did to get it back. Also make sure you do all of this on a machine with Windows 32 bits, i spent 2 days trying on my main 64 bits build with o success, then tried at work on a win7 32 bits machine and it worked at the very first try. good luck.

send me a link for the sbf 3.6.8, please.
I'm attempting to repair a bricked DX. Bootloader is 30.04. It apparently had the 621 update, and of course, that's the only SBF that flashes.
However, in RSD Lite, across several versions, it fails at "Switching to BP Pass through" I've tried on windows 8, as well as a VM for windows 7. Moto device manager has been left in charge of the drivers. I've even tried XP 32-bit in virtualbox
sbf_flash on linux doesn't touch the BP to my knowledge, so even though it says it successfullyl flashes, I go right back to bootloader.
In recovery, trying to flash the 621 Verizon Blur zip fails after "updating BP", with a status 0 error message for "cannot open /tmp/sideload/package.zip" or something to that effect. Recovery is stock.
Yup, I've tried flashing from 621 to 604 with no luck. Can't flash the 604-to-621 package because it's stock recovery and I'm right back at the bootloader anyways. Yes I've factory reset after flashing sbf/recovery, etc, with no luck
Sooooooo, is this thing hard bricked?

It's been a while, but I remember having problems getting the process to work in Windows 7. I had to find an old Windows XP machine and it worked for me.
It may be worth trying to find a physical XP machine.
try the 621 ezSBF
DX (MB810) ezSBF & Root 2.3.4/4.5.621

When sbf_flash had no visible effects on my gentoo machine, I ran this iso in a VM and it still did not work. I'm thinking this is a hardware issue at this point. Updating BP fails from recovery's zip, and rsd lite fails at bp-passthrough mode no matter what I do, so it really looks like a hardware problem to me. I'm not sure what a physical xp machine will do that a vm couldn't.
usually the "Switching to BP Pass through" error, is a windows driver error, not a phone hardware failure
but it can be a hardware failure
also which version of rsd lite tried 6.1.4
one way to check driver, right after you see Switching to BP Pass through, open windows device manager and look for
an unknown device or a yellow triangle in of a device, fix a bad/missing driver can be a little tricky
Start Motorola Driver Installer once again, and let it finish. Then ... head to Device Manager, find the Unknown device, and in its properties' Driver tab click Update driver…. It should now install normally.
or
burn the ezSBF iso file to a cd or usb, and boot pc from ezSBF boot disc, vm is not the same thing as the real thing, vm does not always work
In recovery, trying to flash the 621 Verizon Blur zip fails after "updating BP", with a status 0 error message for "cannot open /tmp/sideload/package.zip"

moto updates only update, unlike some other android devices, the update only works if the older software is installed, and verified completely stock

I've tried 4.7, 4.8, 5.7...regarding the device manager thing, I have never had to worry about an unknown device in dev manager. It always showed
"Motorola Flash Interface." during the bp passthrough. I've even gone as far as changing the driver to "Motorola BP Flash", etc during and before the flash with no change in results.
With the .zip update, it gets past the "verifying system" portion. It verifies, patches boot files, patches system files, then when it hits updating BP, it fails. If I decide to play with this again I will take a picture of the recovery screen.
Is there a cwm sbf available so I can at least get adb

no there is not, because of the locked bootloader, the only way to access CWM is with a bootstrap app, which creates a boot hijack.
