Which custom ROM do u think is best?
1. Indroid
2. Kyrillos
3. Lestatious
4. Greenmod pox
5. Dharam's
Its no offence but new users shud know the verdict before going for it.
Please consider performance, developer response, bug removing capablity of developer, ease of use, looks of the ROM before voting for it.
i think lestatious has stopped development? but i prefere indroid over kyrillos becouse of the theme changer and the font changer wich i really like
Kryillos

Kryillos. stable and better battery over indroid.
Why isn't cm7 in the list..!
Also there is no best custom rom.. They all have something in common and something exclusive.. You will get 5 different answers from 5 different people.. User experience is what makes a rom best for a particular individual..
If you want a name my opinion is kyrillos' rom.
Also for new comers it would be best if they try them all and decide for themselves which one is the best for them

There is a poll in the first and pinned thread that has all the roms! What's the point of this one?

indroid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A day or so ago I would've said Kyrillos, but now I have to Dharam's. I love the choices! Also it's considerably faster (for me anyway).
That being said: why didn't you see/read the sticky thread in this very forum that has the exact same content as this but voting for more than 3 roms is actually possible?

I will definitely respect the decision to remove this thread ONLY if Moderators believe so. Till then this thread will continue accepting polls and posting updates on DarkyROM project.]

Whoa!! Its time for BLUE!!! Lets taste this dessert now!
I have started this thread just to raise a voice for the need of NEW Darky's ROM HoneyComb Edition BASED on an Official Gingerbread (2.3.2) ROM, scheduled to be released in March 2011.
Because we know Darky can do that with top notch quality, simplicity and maintain a Factory look!
Please post in your comments whether you would like Darky to consider this Edition or not.
Also if you would really love to, please vote this thread!!
UPDATE: Guys please note, we are just considering a Gingerbread based ROM (FINAL and STABLE, not XWJV1) with a perfect HoneyComb customization, and not the Official HoneyComb ROM!
I am not a friend of Darkyy neither I am in the Darky's team, its just to help Darky know about the count of his ROM user's need for HoneyComb look!
The final choice of ROM (Official or Leaked), stays with Darky and NOT me!
DARKY's rom HoneyComb Edition
it's just pure awesome!
Want somebody to create a logo for this thread representing Darky's ROM HoneyComb Edition.
Useless thread is useless.

Concluding your post as useless dude!
Lets just skip Honeycomb all together. It's so 2012.
Just aim for the stars and go for Android 4.0 (Tiramisu)
hhmmm
i must say, sounds good to me! or at least some kind of theme capability would be nice! without the use of any other launcher.

Not.
We don't have a darky gingerbread rom yet slow down
I think the OP is also posting in the wrong place
Maybe more suitable that you are unable to start threads until you have contributed to a minimum number of posts in that thread?
May I join to the general facepalm?
1) The 2.3.2 rom is leaked, not official
2) Honeycomb customization would need much more than a mere theme (software-only buttons, e.g)
3) Darky hasn't finished with Gingerbread, and the thing he brings from the GB leak will be an alpha at best.
The sentiment is appreciated, I of all people know how lovely DarkyROM is, but put a rein to your enthusiasm... and don't post where you ought not to.

Darky will definitely have his hands on Gingerbread ROM too.
As he released a Froyo ROM with Genuine Gingerbread customization (which was a BIG hit though), he will also opt for this concept...
I'm in the process of creating an update.zip for cwm that will change the version number to 3.0!
It's only a few KB's too
Here guys: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/11836415/Darky's 9.3 Honeycomb 3.0.zip
Flash over Darky's 9.3 for Android 3.0
You are jumping the gun on this "request" . Right now Darky is INDEED working on Darky rom 10.0 which is based on JV1. It is unsupported as JV1 has two major bugs. 1, being memory leaks and 2, 3d apps don't work. So there is NO stable Gingerbread leaked roms yet. Again. I would not get my hopes up with Ver 10.0 as officially you will NOT GET ANY SUPPORT from anyone on it as its more of a proof of concept rom due to the quality of the crappy JV1 leak.
Hi, i came back for galaxy 3 dev-section and what i saw was strange i was so happy that there are SO MANY custom ROMS but when i read the threads, their all the same :-( nothing new, nothing special :-( those ROMS arent any more custom :-( there are like 5 ROMS with the SAME features but different name... why? now im asking you to reply to this thread with yes or no. is there too many "custom ROMS" i know that there is somebody that says yes (too many "custom" ROMS) and somebody that says no.
again i dont want to offend anyone ;-)

Well it's really hard to "Create" a new feature and dev's only put things together while people like marcellusbe makes the features and he can't just give it to 1 person and not someone else. But the good thing is that some Roms look better than others and they get updates faster.

I tried three custom roms InDroid, Lestatious and Kyrillos. The most advanced in graphics and functions is Lestatious but Kyrillos is more stable and speedy. InDroid is very very very UNSTABLE. I can't do nothing cuz after opening a stock app for the second time it crashes with vibration bug like a stock rom.

haven't tried lestatious but have to agree on rest. indroid is very very unstable. freezes all the time and kyrillos rocks, fastest rom i tried.
so to answer, no, i don't think there's too much custom roms, every rom has different performance, stability, no matter they have same functions.

Which indroid? I used to use custom no lagfix 3.0 and it was very very very STABLE for me
I must agree with this observation, too many roms with equal functionalitys, maybe if we have just 2 ou 3 three it would be better for the 5800 community. I think there is a lack of focus, but anyway, i give credit to all rom developers, they now have the knowledge to devel a super rom all together. :-D
on the one side jae, but on the other side no, because everyone is right to present his work, but there are only 3 to 4 big developers, who brought out good Roms
based on JPM,JIT by ARMV and Fugumod OC, no OC, albeit some are DDJP2. The biggest difference is the theme, which can be changed easily.
I'm using Kyrillos's ROM. It's stable for me.
After searching the HTC desire HD sub forum i couldn't find any post where i can see which rom's are most used.
so i thought it would be a nice idea to make a poll thread.
it would be interesting to see which roms are used by the forum members and why.
it can also help to make a decision for many new users. ( if so... don't forget to thank me )
so here we go..... vote for your rom and describe in reply why you choose it. and also share your experience with the previous rom's.
p.s: you can ignore LeeDroid HD Kernel, MDJ's Custom Kernel, LordMod UE, LordMod HD, LordMod ... as these are kernels and not rom's.
...............
btw the rom i have right now is " true sense ioo rom". this because sense 3.0 was the primary reason i rooted my phone and joined this forum. now i have entered the jungle , i know more. thinking about trying leedroid or coredroid. cause i really need a better wifi working.
so any idea which rom can give me the best wifi signal?

Yes, me too often, so it would be useful the possibility to edit the vote casted in the poll.
What is the point of making poll and not including any or almost any GB roms? Great roms like Gigabread+, MoonROM, Crybernation, CM7 and the ones I can't remember now?
There is no point.

Hello everyone!
Im new to this android scene, and I've only experimented Omega and SuperNexus, and while SN is much faster than Omega, Omega has TWs functionalities, better camera, battery life, etc.
So i was wondering if there was something along the lines of Omega, but better?
Thanks in advance!
Is Mcdonald's the best fast food chain?
Does Ferrari make better cars than Lamborghini?
Are apples better tasting than pears?
Is Cola better than Pepsi?
You see, questions like these and questions like your question share one similarity. They are personal questions that only you can answer. Try out different tw roms and base your own opinion. Either that, or you'll have a little vacation from XDA.
I'm going to quote our Forum Moderator graffixnyc (taken from the last thread he closed on the S3 forum)
"Please use the existing JB thread...

There is no best Rom. It's what fits your needs and what's best for you that matters. I won't tell you which is the best rom cause it's disrespectful to the developers. I use Omega and Insert Coin cause I like the speed, battery life and customization of both. There are other great TW roms like CheckRom, Wannam, ARHD etc. Try them your self and believe me you will find what suits you best. Welcome to Android and XDA. You should read the rules and search before you post. It's the only way to avoid flaming and hepl keeping this site as clean and tidy as possible
