Dell xcd35/zte blade or LG optimus one - Blade General

My friend is planning to buy a phone and both LG optimus one and dell xcd35 which is the same phone as that of the zte blade..I know hardware wise zte blade on paper is better, but would like to know the experts advise..the amount of good custom rom in the LG community expecially cyanogenmod is good..but I don't know the case of zte blade.how is the custom rom support for zte blade.and which one has better battery back up...

Blade, better screen and better specs AFAIK.
CM7 is great on it as well.

LG battery backup s not tat impressive. So there s no difference in the battery dept.
Plus modaco n xda provides lot of custom roms. I already have 2.3.4 V5 cyanogen installed.
Personally, while using this, ppl Don believe tat such a good screen. Mobile comes for just 10k.

iv just bought a blade after having a ****y wildfire for 4 weeks, having used my daughters op 1 for a week, it was awesome, due to francos kernel and noijns rom, iv had this phone since yesterday, im on cm7, i must say this phone is a pure legend!!!

blade is much better IMHO.
3.2" HVGA screen is a no-no for me.

Get XCD35. Its so much better than O1. I'm running 2.2 Portuguese Spring ROM.

I have a zte blade in my opinion its best out of thoose 3

[Q] Best HTC Wildfire rom.

Hi all!
I recently bought a HTC Wildfire, and I want to put a custom rom on it, I know how it works, but what is the best rom around? I need a fast rom that doesnt drain my battery life like sense does. It also needs to be steady, I really don't like bugs/crashes.
thanks in advance,
Ruben302
ive recently just rooted and cyanogenmod7 is working perfectly for me, much quicker than sense and also easier on the battery as well and also has options to overclock within the rom
Ive tried wildpuzzle and cyanogenmod 7.03 and one of the latest nightlys too,its a choice they are both great I can't make my mind up which to stick with Coz I do love sense Widgets but cyanogenmod is the latest and greatest, but I have gone back to wildpuzzle again coz I miss senses style and it does look better in my opinion.

guys so cm7 is better??
does it have dsp and all ?
Yes it does. As for if it is better - ROM choice is a personal thing, but, I am using CM7 and am personally very happy with it.
I think joker Droid looks good if you like sense roms. I've not tried it myself but I intend to check it out soon!

[Q] Hd2 vs mytouch 4g

I had a hd2 and just got this today I was on miui 1.8.5. It was a windows phone converted to android. Where this already is. Is glitches out in the 4g or should I stay stock.
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA Premium App
Glitches are in stock, so go flash
Sent from... It doesn't matter!
I too came from HD2. Love the battery life. Last me full day on light to moderate use.
I liked stock with bloat removed, but now too trying to flash. For some reason this is second MT4G that is not working with root.sh method.
if you liked MIUI on the HD2, youll love MIUI on the MT4G. I also had an HD2 as my toy while the 4G was my daily. the only thing I miss about that phone was the bigger screen, but thats it. the stock rom on the 4G isnt all that great IMO, and pretty much all the other roms in the dev section blow it out of the water! root that baby and flash your heart out (just make sure to do some reading first tho)

New to G2 Quick question

Just got a G2 for my wife i use the samsung epic and have it flashed, rooted and overclocked. For the G2 what is the best ROM and kernel, im just looking for something speedy and good battery. i would like to overclock and under clock from 200-1000 or something nothing crazy. Thanks for any help this is truly the best forum out there
its for your wife... so your wife isn't gonna be using it as guys do... i suggest virtuous G-Lite
I will always recommend elitemod. Day nd a half battery life and super speedy
Girls like their phones not to suck, too. Cyanogen nightly 263. The kang nightlies since then. Mexdroid Atomic (what i"ve got on mine right now).
Or something miui based?
Just loaded it onto a friends original desire and he's falling in love all over again. Can theme it till the cows some home too.

Considering buying my girlfriend one of these

So, I need a rom that is STABLE above all else. Slick would be nice too.
I hear the default software on these things is awful, and that plenty of nice roms exist. but since I won't be around to check if things go even slightly funky, I need stable. I've got ICS on my phone, but it's unofficial so it's a bit dodgy, and I hear your ICS isn't mature enough either yet. So what, some kind of CM7pointsomething?
This will be her first android/ios/smartphone device, so there's no prior standard or other preconceptions - although my phone has touchwiz, and she's used that once or twice.
So, recommendations for rom/launcher/others?
I know her gmail/facebook/whatever passwords, so i'll be setting this up in secret as a present =)
In my opinion, the latest stable CM 7.2.0 (Try looking at the Kang Development thread)
The ADW EX Launcher has a lot of customization options. Oh, and install Instagram, girls love it.
I don't know what more to say, take a look at the Development to see other roms.
Swedish Snow over at modaco by KonstaT, it's solid as a rock, gingerbread 2.3.5 and has some cool tweaks in there. I'm using it and it's awesome

Sounds like there are at least two solid roms to choose from. I'll have a hunt to see which I feel like in a bit.
Anything else about the blade I should be aware of/compulsory accessories?
I assume you get 2 days battery from both of these?
Thanks again.

I feel battery life of blade is not up to the mark compared to other phones. Anyway that depends on usage. Im a heavy user.
If you're planning of running CM7,forget 2 days of battery with heavy wifi/3g usage.
Sent from my ZTE Blade using XDA app
Imo, all gingerbread rom are stable but if you want a rom for your gf, i recommend you Swedish Snow 7, beaucause cm7 is more for geeks ^^ and there is always a new uptade. Ss7 is the last version so no more update/probleme
Send from my incredible ZTE Blade!
I think you should get her a Samsung Galaxy Y... It has many social apps integrated and is more stable as it is. You don't need to bother much after you give her the phone coz it has a stable stock OS. You may want to look at the Galaxy Ace too. That is also in a similar price bracket.
I'll just be plain honest with you, I'm not satisfied with my phone... It has some annoying problems regardless of what ROM you use.
If you still want to buy it you could use CyanogenMod 7.2(KANG) on it. ICS cannot be used efficiently on this phone.
This is just my opinion, you can feel free to disagree...
Better alternative for galaxy ace is lg optimus net dual with nearly same specs but bit cheaper at price.

DHD & JellyB & Fantastic Rom

Hello There
I am a new Owner of DHD - Just couple of days ago I received my new handset - after selling Apples iPhone 4 32GB.
I brought it from eBay at half the price that I got from selling iPhone(almost 2 years old).
Now to the point:
After rooting DHD and trying different roms base don Android 2.3.x and ICS And JB - Finally I set My eye and Phone of course on this amazing ROM:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1778202.
It's super Fast - everything works - and much better and stable that any other rom I've tried and Beleive I have.
For last 4 days I installed almost 8 of them and this " JELLYTIME for DHD/Inspire4g - R14" by far most stable and fast version of them all.
It of course has its little quirks but nothing that affects functionality.
Recommending it wholeheartedly
Enjoy Guys
What is the status of the video camera in JellyTime? Can it record in full HD yet?
720p, but that works great

This ROM (one of the Releases between R7-14) PWND my 3G and Network Connectivity and now any ASOP ROM does not allow OTA network connection... I'm trying to load it with one of the sense radio's I hope I don't brick my phone doing so, cause I love these ROMS (sense is soooooo lame) and I really hope I'm trying to do something that can be done...

DHD never will record full HD, because it needs dual core CPU and DHD has only single core...
This is not true
Sorry but this rom is not working correctly on DHD
For example wifi hotspot isn't working

everything work fine for me
Working 100%
For me 2. Excellent JB ROM and Sabsa Prime 6.5 ICS is a very good ROM too. But the only problem is the RAM Memory management.

Can you please tell me the component versions (ex kernel version, ecc).
I cannot understand why it's not working good on my dhd.
Thanks in advance
since i rooted my DHD i became some kind ROMs maniac been trying all the linux distros on my laptop now doing the same with my DHD thats because I love testing operating systems and software this have always been my passion so far...
now about the phone and JellyTime tring JT r16 on it already using for two days not single problem has happened to me... always doing full format including SD card before installing a new ROM tho.
what can I say in general about JT looks fast and stable so is for example SabsaPrime (sabsa has for sure best battery life i ever seen) the ram usage seems to be the same as Sabsa ICS as far a I prefer sense roms gonna go back to sabsa. anyway both are great roms :good:
sorry for my language
I was running jt for a while. Loved it fast stable. Then I found sabsa prime. I average about 11-12 hrs battery under moderate to heavy useage.

I have been running Jellytime for a while its a great rom but the latest versions have had a few hiccups but the dev RandonBlame is working to fix the issues I would recommend it.
I don't understand why people still run older android versions like Gingerbread or ICS when we now have Jelly Time instead. Why bother with old versions? Can anyone explain?
i will stick around with sanwitch a little more, and in a couple of months when good ROMS with Jellybeam will be released :fingers-crossed: i will try them then
Had to retreat to Ice Cold...
I have been using JellyTime since R3 and love it
But I started getting the blackscreen problem from R15 onwards .
I tried R16, R17 & R17.1 all with clean installs and still got the issue.
Unfortunately as the DHD is my daily driver and I am traveling over the next few weeks, I need the stability of and battery life of Ice Cold Sandwich. Which is a real shame as I hate going backward.
As a newbie, I can't post to the dev forum, but I shall return to JellyTime in the near future, I want to see how good the DHD is on JB 4.1.2.
Use sabsa prime or trickdroid stable Roms with great battery life.

JellyTime R17.1 is very buggy but the Best ROM
Stability, speed, battery life.
On Jellytime I last 2 hours of screen usage. With cm7 I've lasted for 12hrs on flights listening to music, reading ebooks, with airplane mode+wifi.
I happen to like the look of stock gb as well.

Simply because ICS and JB room were not build to run with DHD, so you can have some bugs like Camera, MMS, Batterylife etc...
Mostly all the bugs have been worked out on r18.1 of jellytime
