ODIN for the I/O Galaxy Tab - Galaxy Tab 10.1 General

Do anyone know where I can find these images?

If you get stuck, this will bring you back

Here's where I got the ODIN3 from http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=599054&d=1305645578

Did that work for the IO Tab, the P7510? It looks like that link is for a different model number.

Its for I/O tab. I got stuck and made it with a system dump from someone else. The boot logo is for 10.1v though but everything works fine. Only use if u get stuck in a loop. I had to manually flash 3.1 from Pershoots to update.

I sent mine in. Samsung Level 3 support is what you need. Make sure you registered your device first.

For me Odin seems to be the only option as well as adb and fastboot dont recognise the tab.
When using odin I get either "write error" at the end of process if I try to send just the .tar.md5 file listed in first post, or, if I check repartition I get "error in line 1455" so I figure the next step will be repartition with a .pit file included as well...
Question is....which .pit to use - any solid fact or informed opinions from anyone much appreciated?
I am happy to be guinea pig as my tab is already "semi-bricked" and good for nothing and Samsung in France have said no service or guarantee available here, only in the USA....WTF!!?? So, I might just as well get reckless and see what happens...
As an aside......samfirmware?? is this now a pay service before one can download any firmwares? I see they have a GT-P7510 section indicated but inaccessible because of "webprotect". I am loathe to cough up the money for their "premium service" just to be able to enter the section and maybe find that they have nothing to offer....
I am not a leecher so will happily pay if they have something to offer, but will not pay just to see if that is the case...anybody got any info on what they have available?
Ta very much

Thanks! I used ODIN3 (v1.00) to flash the image and successfully "unbricked" my tab which was previously stuck in a boot loop. Was pleasantly surprised to see that user data was preserved.
The OTA finally downloaded and now I just have to wait for the battery to recharge so it can apply the update...

bonzai your odin flashable md5 was awesome, can u make another one based on 3.1 please?
it would help this community alot

First thanks again for achieving root on the 10.1v .
Do you know if it is possible to flash a 10.1 rom onto the 10.1v ?
Thanks

No, someone already tried and failed. As far as the OS is concerned, they are much the same anyway. There should be a flood of custom ROMs coming over the next week or so. Best to wait for those.

Yeah I know. It should have been a easy way to get more locales on the tab 10 and to fix some bugs Anyway now there's root it should be easy to substitute some parts and apps with the 10.1 system dump
bcmobile, I also need original ROM to reflash the tablet using ODIN 3. I accidentally flashed 10.1v rom into the Google I/O tablet I have and usb no longer works.
Thanks for the img. How do I use this with Odin? I had 3 files to flash but this one has only the img file. I can only connect my Galaxy Tab through Odin. I does not get recognized by the pc and will not connect through adb.
bcmobile, Where can I find the image? Thanks!
I was trying to get into fastboot mode...but accidentally got into odin3 mode...
But I can't figure out how to exit out of it.
I did a search...and found out that there's an Odin3 software...but when I download and install it...I still don't see an "exit" or "quit" option for me to get out of the Odin3 Download Mode...
There's an "Auto Re-Boot" option...that's checked already...along with "F. Reset Time...if I just hit "Start"...is that okay to try to do? Thanks...
Update: Actually...nothing happens if I just hit "Start" with those options checked...I was hoping it would just reboot back to normal...

Cannot upgrade to 3.2 via WiFi or Kies

Hi,
I have a Galaxy Tab 10.1 GT-P7510
I Am running Build number HMJ37.UEKG4.P7510UEKG4
Kernel Version 2.6.36.3 [email protected] #1
I am not rooted.
Kies does detect my device but it gives no option to update firmware. When right-clicking on the device under "connected devices" the option to update firmware is greyed out.
Under "Current firmware version:" it says P7510UEKG4/P7510XARKG4/P7510UEKG4/P7510UEKG4.
Under "Latest firmware version:" it's blank...
Any ideas?
I just posted a topic few minutes earlier than you about the same issue...no idea why this is happening...
Did you ODIN any stock ROM before?
AFAIK you will get the update if you are in stock TW ROM (UEKME)

I have ODIN'd a ROM before. I went back to stock last week... maybe that's why it isn't working?
I am a brand new user, both to the Tab and Android. My unit also fails to update. When attempting to do it via WIFI the update downloads but stops installing at 13%. When attached to Kies, I get the message that there are no updates available for the unit. Most of the other Kies functions also do not work.
I chatted online with Samsung and when this tech was stumped, was referred to a phone contact. The next tech also was stumped so I had to return the unit for repair. The good news is that unlike some companies, Samsung picked up the shipping. I should have my Tab back in a couple weeks. Hopefully in fully functional condition.
Stay tuned.

I believe you installed this "hc-3.1_ota-full_sam_tab_10.1.zip"
This is stock ROM for I/O tab only. And i/O tabs haven't got the TW or 3.2 update.

Seems to be stuck in a boot loop now.
Gets to the Samsung animation and just restarts.
I already tried formatting system/data/cache via recovery menu. No luck
Any suggestions?
Same, sort of. I can't get any further than the boot logo, then just a blank screen.
Did you use the pit file?

Try connecting it to Kies. I heard there is an emergency recovery functionality in it.
Ok, I'm back up and running now. I stopped using the crappy $5 extended charging cable I got off Amazon and used the cable that came with the device.
Can't be 100% sure if that's what fixed it but hey it worked... thanks again for all your support.
Instructions have also worked for me. I had previously rooted the tab and used Odin. Now it is stock TW 3.2 honeycomb.
How is it TW 3.2 if stock file you loaded is 3.1 ?

If you are still bootlooping, try clearing your cache and dalvik-cache. It worked for me. You need probably Clockworkmod for it.

Samsung Tab Help

ok so just a little background, i have rooted droid incredibles, droid x, droid x2, hp touchpad, a few iphones and ipod touches, and some other odds and ends, so i am not a super noob or anything...
but here goes I recently acquired a samsung galaxy tab I800 (wifi only)
when i received it it was stuck in a boot loop and just kept rebooting the Verzin logo over and over again
i can get it into recovery, and the downloading thing while connected to pc
so i have tried heimdall way of restoring or what not..
i know nothing about this SGT, pretty sure its not rooted, but i wouldnt know, and i have no idea what happend to get it into the boot loop,
i have read MANY posts and did alot of searching over the last week and a half before i decided to post..but i must be missing something,
and i really need some assistance...
so if someone can help guide me through this i would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
a bit misleading
SCH-I800 is not wifi only. It is a CDMA device.
P1010 is wifi only.
Look for post on CDMA (sprint/verizon the same).
I can't help much since I don't know about CDMA device.
Good luck.
thanks for the info that i was getting mixed up...its is defiantely a sch I800 which is what it says on the back.and likei said i dont know alot about this tab, just what i was told, which was that it was wifi only..but that was definately wrong info according to what i am told now.
either way i am still stuck on the verizon screen. i also tried the heimdall again see maybe if it would take this time, but still no luck, i feel like i am using the right firmware but i am going to start from scratch now and see if i can get it going..too much misinformation in my head..lol
but if anyone can shoot me in the right direction i will be checking back here alot to see whats up..
thanks again
and thanks to priyana hopefully i can get this thing working..
here is a link to my most recent try

There are several things that make ur device stuck on verizon bootloop.
It can be bad partition system(the wrong pit)-happens when ppl try incorrectly upgrading from froyo to gb/ics, or gb to ics, vice versa.
It can also be incomplete rom - flash interruptions, missing system folders etc.
Go to recovery and check if you get error msgs when you do factory reset wipe and data cache wipe.
Your best bet is to flash a cdma rom with repartition option and tlinclude the correct pit file. You can do it via heimdell or odin.

yes i do get error messages when i try to do a factory restore and data cache wipe i could post a screenshot if that would help, i know it says something like cant mount some files located on E:
one example is
E: install_application_for_customer:cant mount data
then some more files that are unable to mount
and sorry to sound dumb but could you point me to cdma roms? and not sure what you mean about the repartition option..also where or how can i obtain the correct pit file? and as i said in first post not sure what android OS is on this thing nor do i know if it was rooted, and i have no idea how it got into this state
thanks for the help as well..i been a member on this site for a bit, but always just read and get it done, this is the first issue that i have had to post about that i am completely lost on, so your help is greatly appreciated

everything else i found out about it is in my previous posts
and yes i can go into download mode and recovery
when i try to do a factory wipe/ cache delete option it says in yellow text "your storage not prepard yet, please use UI menu for format and reboot actions" if that means anything
and a bunch of red text stating stuff about not being able to mount or open certain files on E:

i will give it another try just for the sake of trying again

[Q] unauthorized software

I stupidly tried to flash a custom recovery without unlocking the boot loader (2nd time rooting a phone) and of course now I get the message that there is software not authorized by Verizon, yada yada yada.....I can't use the phone. As I already said, I'm not very smart w/ this I guess. I rooted my phone with the new towelroot method and it worked flawlessly....but then I tried to go further and figured I'd just do everything necessary to run custom roms. Anyways, I've got the yellow triangle and I really really don't want to go to Verizon and try to talk my way into a replacement (I just got a replacement phone about 2 weeks ago) Is there any way to fix this? Before you reply, know I don't have a windows computer so I don't think I can use Odin, and my phone isn't showing up in Kies when I connect it after making sure my phone is in download mode. I'm at a loss.
Your only option is Odin, I would say find a friend with a windows computer... Then once you are back on track, read on this forum about safestrap before you flash anything else... Good luck!

Thanks. I know what I'm doing today now
Can anyone point me in the right direction to download the right pit file for use in Odin (Jodin3 to be specific). It's supposed to find the proper pit file automatically, but it can't for some reason. Oh, and I did do some digging....for some reason the only pit file I found (which was uploaded in Oct. of 2013) doesn't work. I can't find anything else other than that...if there is anything else.
I am trying to fix his phone for him but I am unable to find any full 4.4.2 Odin tars, are there even any available yet? The only ones I can find seem to be on websites I have never heard of haha.

[Q] Help a Noob please? Flashing the Stock ROM won't work

Hello, I am new to these forums as well as owning an Android device, and was directed here from Reddit when I posted my question there. to save time, I'll simply copy/paste my explanation of my predicament from Reddit, but if I seem to be leaving something out, please tell me so I can offer up as much information as I can.
"I've owned a Galaxy S5 for a little over 2 weeks, and for the past 4-5 Days, any time I try to Turn it on, I receive a message that says "Secure Fail: Modem", in red letters at the top left of the screen, and in the middle there is a yellow triangle with an exclamation point with the following text underneath "System software unauthorized by verizon has been detected on your device. please shut Down and go to the nearest verizon store" I'm 17, and currently staying at Governor's school, so I didn't have a ride until yesterday when my Dad and Uncle came to help me try to fix my phone. We went to the Verizon store, where they said that it looked at though I had tried to "root" the phone, which I haven't. My theory is that this is the result of a pokemon game I downloaded from the internet for an emulator. We Called tech support who couldn't help us, but after a little Research, I tried downloading Odin and flashing it with the Stock Rom, but every time I do that, I get the same Error message, regardless of whether I wipe the phone first, or Remove the sim card or whatever, so I don't know what I'm doing wrong and thought that maybe reddit could help me."
I've tried to flash the stock rom several times as per the following video: apparently I cannot link to outside content; however, the video is titled "How to Flash Stock Firmware for Galaxy S5 [All Variants] by Odin3" on youtube
if anyone could help me I would greatly appreciate it.

Restart your phone in recovery mode by shutting the phone down and then starting it back up by holding the home, volume up and the power keys until you see the blue text at the top of the phone saying recovery booting. When it boots into recovery use the volume key to select wipe cache partition and then press the power key to run that. Then select wipe data/factory reset and run that. When that's done select reboot system and see if it starts normally. If that doesn't work try Odin with the tar and pit file.

I use this method and it worked great. I suggest you try it again, to include re downloading the tar file. Follow the straightforward instructions. Leave your phone connected to the computer even after you flash the tar. It will go through the whole reboot process while connected to the computer. If you still have problems, ask mrxtc (op). I see him all over the place and he seems pretty good at helping people fix problems.

everything I downloaded was from the google play store, with the exception of the "pokemon emerald" rom from coolrom.com. I hadn't attempted to root the phone prior, I didn't even know what that meant until I googled the error message. that actually brought me to a thread on this site where somebody had tried to root their S3 and got the same message. as for the model of the phone, all I know is that it's an S5 and that I got it at Verizon.

Other than what I posted in the recovery thread and what I posted a few posts up that's pretty much it. You could try the nand erase all and efs clear options, check the screen shot and make sure your check boxes are correct. Also if you didn't download the files from the thread I posted I suggest you do. Honestly if none of what was already suggested doesn't work I would contact Samsung. I've had and seen your error before and successfully reset my phone before.

I hadn't attempted to root the phone prior, I didn't even know what that meant until I googled the error message. that actually brought me to a thread on this site where somebody had tried to root their S3 and got the same message. as for the model of the phone, all I know is that it's an S5 and that I got it at Verizon.
I've done everything suggested to me multiple times, so If I can't figure something out by this afternoon, I'll try to get a hold of him.

i guess my question was how did you try to run the rom? its a long shot but thinkin since technically its a rom file maybe you used it wrong.. also, theres dev edition s5 and retail s5 for vzw so it does matter which model you have and which odin files youre trying to use.. since phone is less than a year old, id contact samsung if you cant get it fixed and theyll send you a return kit and reflash the software for you.. something similar happened to someone with an s5 active on att n samsungs gonna help him.. only reason he needs to send it in however is cuz there is no s5 active tar available yet for him to odin. you should b able to on yours but hard to fix without having the device in hand and u saying uve tried everything

I just downloaded it from the site I mentioned and opened it using the emulator I downloaded with google play.
how do I tell the difference between the dev and retail editions?
I'll see about contacting samsung, since I seemed to have bricked it.

theres a soft brick (recoverable) and a hard brick (not recoverable).. normally a hard brick your phone wont come on or go into any mode at all.. soft brick is when it starts up but either bootloops or wont boot at all into the os (like yours).. im just lost as to why it wont work! crazy.. if u got at vzw and dont know what a dev edition is then u most likely have a retail s5 so mister odin guide should work..

Yea man it worked for me too. If you can get to stock recovery or Odin mode you should be able to do it. Factory reset and clear cache a whole bunch of times.
Just wanted to add I had the same error recently and tried everything. Nothing would fix
Seeing this twice in just a few days has me wondering if VZW has something buried in NK2 ...
I just registered because I'm having this same problem and haven't been able to solve it. I've never flashed any of my phones until last night, because of this error. I followed the instructions in Misterxtc's thread, but no dice. Still looking for help.

Have you tried Kies to restore the phone to stock? Or even Verizon's Upgrade Tool (which also repairs)?

The only way I can do that is to get the phone to boot, which it will not get past the error stated in this thread: "SECURE FAIL: modem" I just tried to get all of that to work (sorry the late response was at work) and again it's a no go, I'm going to take it to Verizon, but I'm not optimistic about what kind of results I'm going to get there.
The phone came with the NI2 SW to begin with, and I tried to install that with Odin. gets me about half a second of the normal Samsung splash screen then straight back into the error, after that first boot, no splash only the error.
Thanks for the suggestions though.

I couldn't even get my phone to start yesterday... just a black screen. I thought it was hard bricked. I did a chat with Samsung support, and they helped me recover in less than five minutes.

I'm in the same boat. I've tried everything to get this issue resolved and I'm not having any luck.
Anyone know how I determine which tar file I should be using (NE9, NCG, etc)? I've got a SM-G900V and I think I've pretty much tried all of the tar files via this link - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2784880.
