[GUIDE] Update Superuser From Market FIX!

I am running LeeDrOiD, but I know many people have this issue.
If you are trying to update Superuser from the market, and you get invalid signature and installation fails. This is my work around, which works for me.
My rom had superuser.apk and not Superuser.apk, which linux takes as two files whilst windows references everything in capitals.
Download Superuser Update Fixer.
Run the application, which will say that signature fails. Then run the fix, which will say okay all the way through and the signature still fails.
Download Root Explorer, and mount /system/ as rw.
Go to /system/apps/ and you will find Superuser.apk and superuser.apk, rename or delete superuser.apk and then rename Superuser.apk to superuser.apk.
Restart your phone.
Go to app drawer, and launch Superuser. Your whitelist and blacklist has been erased.
Run Superuser Update Fixer and you should see signature match is okay, now click update from market and enjoy.

I don't think there is. There may be another app that does this job though. You need something that can mount system rw.
It may be possible to do this step with ADB, however I just posted how I did it.
ES file explorer has this system rw option, it says that it only works with CM and some other rom but it works for me and I'm running leedroid. Only problem is you have to unmount and mount it again every now and then.
Yeah to make it work just select the non CM7 mod option, HIAPK i think it's called? either way just select that one, apart from what the guy above me said about the remounting every now and then, should be a good substitute for root explorer
I downloaded superuser from market and the fix but wen using es explorer i only see one superuser?

I only have the Superuser.apk, but still have problems on the update. I had lost root and just decided to reroot, but got the Ninja Icon app. I tried to update - sig failed. Tried the Update Fixer and on changing to 644 fail, check sigs fail. Then I tried this.
Any other ideas on how to get it?
Wat rom u using?

CyanogenMod 11 No full permission to edit build.prop or move data to system

Dear,
Sorry if i post this thread wrong but i can't post on the Development page YET because i don't have 10 post...
My question is how can i get full permission on 4.4 on my device.
I already rooted and downloaden SU but i cant Update because it saids Remounting /system as rw.. Failed!
The ROM i downloaded is cm-11-20131115-UNOFFICIAL-galaxysmtd.zip inculding gapps gapps-kk-20131113.
The reason i want the full permission is because @pawitp said something about RAM mode so i need to edit the build.prop but i cant because my system is mouthed to rwxr-xr-x (0755). And ofcourse i want to change the bootanimation etc.
I hope you guys could help me out.
Friendly kinds,
(Sorry for my bad English)
There is no need to edit build.prop file in cm-11-20131115 as it is the second version released by @pawitp and he already edited that in this version.
If you still want to update, then:
1. Flash/install the latest superSU.
2. Open superSU app from app menu.
3. Now install and open the root explorer
4. It will ask for root permission, check the always option and click on grant
5. Now as it (Root explorer) is closed, reopen it.
6. Mount the system r/w.
7. Now do whatever you want and enjoy

[Q] Do I only have partial root?

I have a rooted s4 (with 4.4.2).. I'm trying to use ES File Explorer to change permissions on a root folder but it won't change the permissions. After I change them and then go back to the folder it just reverts to its original state. When I tried to use Root Browser to change the permissions it just gave me an error message saying that I couldn't do that. Does that mean my phone is only partially rooted? Or something else?
Sounds like you have no root at all.

Mate ,
Did you check the settings of ES?
top left corner /settings menu / root Explorer ( set to on) and set the options you need (rw, hidden folders.....)

It is like in that picture.... But it still doesn't work. I just switched from Supersu to Superuser and took this screen shot. I'm sure it has to do something with the letters that are red (in the screen shot). I just don't know enough to know what it means.

Something is not right , if you are root and your explorer setting are right there should not be any problem to change permission
when you first installed / open ES or root browser it ask you for SU rights , you said you did , in supersu it show you a list of app with SU rights , they were there?
Install Titanium Backup , it will ask you for SU , grant , go to Backup / restore , select any app there click on it on the menu that pops up select freeze...does it let you do it? then you are root , if not then there is a problem with your root

User App To System App in Marshmallow

Hi, I cannot convert an User App into a System App in Marshmallow.
Moving the Folder of the App from Data/App to System/Priv-App OR System/App does't work.
So I would know if there is a solution?
I tried also Link2SD function to Convert the APP into a System One but nothing.
It just dissapear like with moving the folder.
Permissions are set-up correctly.
Thanks.

Use this app to mount /system:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.blogspot.superthomaslab.mountsystemrorw
Use this root explorer:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrummy.root.browserfree
It's recommended to have busybox installed.
Or use TWRP:
Boot to recovery->go to mount->check /system and reboot
It doesn't work. I think is a limitation of Marshmallow Permissions.
The only way I found is using Lucky Patcher and selecting the option "Rebuild and install" to Install the file .APK as System from the beginning. Otherwise it doesn't work. Anyway thanks.

I had the same problem today.
I think I found solution !
I think you flashed wrong supersu version.
Try to flash this through twrp:
https://download.chainfire.eu/924/SuperSU/BETA-SuperSU-v2.68-20160228150503.zip
After that go to es explorer enable root explorer. Next, click on root explorer and choose mount r/w check r/w on /system

Hi I have the solution-install a user app(don't move to SD) ,in es file manager mount system to rw ,copy whole folder of that user app from /data/app to /system/priv app ,now set permissions to folder similar to that of other folders present there ,now inside the folder set permissions to apk as rwrr (don't touch other folders present there). ,mount system ro ,now uninstall that user app from launcher and finally REEBOOOOT!!!! DONE
