[Q] internet stopped working today

Not exactly sure what happened, but today my internet stopped working on my vogue 6900. I have metro PCS. Everytime I try to log onto the internet it keeps asking for my password. I have tried the 000000, and that is not working, neither is mymetropcs. I have the unlocker de coder and it is set for 000000. I tried my hex# and my dec# and my serial number. None of those work. Is anyone else having this issue too? Also tried mymetropcs and also left blank, none of these worked
I tried reinstalling the metro cab and resetting my name and password with the abouve--- did not fix it. Can anyone help w/ this?

I am using nsfans rom w/ win 6.5 vogue 6900 if that helps any
was working beautiful until the other day.
I did notice that my unlocker came up out of the blue one day, I thought I had enabled it somehow. Looks like metro might have done it?

Metro will try to crack down on internet usage from time to time. Particularly if your device was placed in their network via other ways aside from MetroFLASH.
Try to see if there is a newer PRL (although 2001 and 2004 have not been updated in forever). Also, make sure that your proxies didn't change. I have seen this happen before. Check them in Start>Settings>Connections.. (forgot the rest, sorry )

I had the phone flashed by a corporate metro store and pay for internet
I have tried to reset all the settings in start, settings, connections. It will not save any of the settings
I can get into the epst settings and have checked all the settings in there.
Right now I have another problem too. My pc will not recognise the PDA. I have the right version of sync center, but every time I plug into it, it never recognises the vogue. The phone recognises that it is plugged in, but I am getting an error code and can not find any info on the error code

Also in the epst settings I cant change the setting for PRL capability preferred, it is set at disable. When I click on edit it wont allow me to change the setting. Should this be set at enable or disable?
Do you know the number to dial from the phone to update the PRL?

[Q] I need complete EPST settings PLEASE.

I have an EVO 4g flashed to cricket. I need to make all the settings right that are in the EPST settings. Ive had to of put in ##3282# 50 times by now, and have been searching for 2 days to find settings, and nothing that worked. right now, it wont load anything that requires internet connection, maybe even text (its 2 o clock and havent texted) PLEASE HELP. i am litteraly gonna strangle something right now.

I'm on tmo, and my data works fine using my brothers g2. I have tried multiple roms, have verified the apn settings multiple times, updated my radio file, ect. i don't know what else to do, I have spent DAYS trying to get this to work.
The phone will make calls/text just fine. But the signal bars are grey (should be green right?), and no data works unless connected to wifi.
Please help, I really need to get this up and running. Please...

your apn is not correct if its not working..
no one can help you but your network provider, depending what network your on just ring them and ask them to give you the apn settings in your area and make sure you do a backup of the apn on your computer/ sd card incase you change roms in future.

[Q] evo 4g in vz prepaid, no dmu key??

so, i was with cricket using an evo 4g.
I flashed the phone, (also 3 droids x2, and a thunderbolt for different people, btw friends and family).
Right now Im working on a area where cricket hardly covers.
I found out on ebay about the verizon prepaid unlimited... saw the videos... I thought i could do it, but my months with cricket was up and couldnt bear it anymore.
I contacted a local guy and .. i had to pay for the verizon flash. Being out of time and working long hours didnt give a chance to find out by myself.
(actually somehow i messed with the phone and i ended up roaming all the time, and when i asked that guy for the prl (wich i found out to be straightalk) he female doged me a lot, after several messages of being nice to him and convincing him that i simply needed a few kb file, he sent it, and I got it back to regular speed)
(he also didnt set me up with mms, i came here until i finally got it)
Anyways I'm really happy with verizon , it's really fast , 20mb in less than 2 minutes!!!, wow!!,,, BUT the evo its pretty messed up, and I got in my hands an S2 from sprint.
Now I simply want to take the info off the evo and put it into the galaxy s2,
But the only problem that i see ,is that the EVO does not have a DMU key file!!!
I checked in dfs and qpst
And i always check, double check, google and hours and days go by until i ask for help.So i honestly dont wan to pay him again, to connect a phone and copy paste the settings, and as i mentioned before hes not that savy, he couldnt enter diag mode in my evo, because i had go dial, and he freaked and installed another rom, see what i mean???? he couldnt get into diag mode!
So I doubt this guy has everything organized and pretty to have files and info for the phone he does, but even if he is, i dont even want to see him.
So another question is, how is the evo working in vz without a dmu key file?

It looks like your are going to need a reflash with another or the same donor. Contact your flasher about it

the basic phone is the donor?
If so, what do you call the vz smartphone?
Can i use a sch i100 verizon phone for the flash process,?
i saw on the myverizon webpage an option to change device, it simply asks you for a new meid, i simply get a new meid and flash it.to a 3g verizon, right?

Fashed galaxy s 2 without DMU key!!
So , I ordered a cheap 3g vz phone. It's gonna take some time to arrive, so I decided to pre-flash the s2.
I started with DFS doing the meid, data and user profiles.
I found out I had voice n text .
then tried messing with the setting on the phone tru data menu , no go, tried apnbackup , it was not possible either.
looking at my evo settings in DFs, reading and re-reading the guide, I noticed in DFS where you put the AAA and HA passwords below there are two DMU value boxes, and the evo pictures had some numbers on it.
so i re-reflashed the phone doing the nv items file, couple of OTA programming and setting the profiles in qpst again until i got 1x data speed,
so i re-did everything over and over and this last time I click in DFS , THE WRITE CURRENT PROFILE SETTINGS button, in the two profiles and entered the DMu values over and over.
And it worked, but before that i was on rooted xx13 rom and then upgraded ota, but it messed up the flash, so before flashing for the last time, i simply wiped everything and installed latest rom rooted.
I got decent speeds and mms is solved by using go sms, (theres 2 places where you put the vzw address) and trying to go into the data menu on the phone didnt work. And for you tube I did the 0.0.0.0 trick, but it doesnt show the zeroes, only the sprint proxies. but youtube works regardless.
I hope this post helps somebody.

so, the phone will not connect to the mobile network, the sim card is fine. it is not rooted or unlocked. it just says no service and has a X next to the signal bars on the status bar. i have tried many things to fix it with no luck. i have tried to switch airplane mode on and off, i have been in the hidden menu and tired everything in the modem menu, when i try to switch it to anything like cdma,gprs insted of just auto it says failed. thanks for the help. this has been driving me crazy.

Okay. I went through this a whole lot with this phone, and on almost every custom ROM it has. Lineage ROM is the only one that has worked for me right after install. I'm not sure why it does this as the APN settings that comes with the Roms are exactly correct. However you will not be able to get your full service until you manually add the APN settings in yourself. You can delete the 2 other APN's if you want. It really makes no difference. But you will literally have to make a new APN with the exact same settings as the 2 original ones in order for your DATA and MMS settings to work. Once you hit the "save APN" button you should see the 4g or LTE symbol pop on and everything will work just fine. Good luck. Let me know if you still have trouble.
