Hi everyone
I recently updated to the new 2.3.3, and can no longer access the sync page (via Settings > Accounts & Sync > Add Account > Sony Ericsson Sync).
It just hangs at the first page - which redirects you - and when I select the reload link, it just brings me to a blank white page and stops in its tracks.
I could access this problem free before, even after rooting.
Is anyone experiencing the same or a similar problem?
Does anyone have a fix or workaround for this?
Note: To update my software, I had to flash with the updated (original Sony Ericsson) ROM using flashtool, not sure whether or not this could be the cause or whether or not it is irrelevant.

Sony Ericsson Sync / Sony Ericsson online account is down for maintenance for the last few weeks.
I also have the same problem when I tried to setup SE Sync on my Play a few days ago.
Oddly though, SE Sync on my X10 still works. I don't receive any error messages when I force a manual sync. But since I cannot log into Sony Ericsson Online Account, I cannot verify if it is indeed syncing and fully working.

this one requires you to go to the Application Settings (Menu — Settings — Applications — Manage Applications) and clear the data in Google Talk, Google Mail, Market, Google Apps, Download Manager and IM.
then i creat a new googlemail acount and done every thing works fine.
yeah i done this and it worked, tho didnt need to create new account, found this on android forums
i have xperia x10
First back up ur phone numbers
now go on ur pc and log on to ur google mail account
once logged on goto settings
now goto accounts and import
where it says send mail as, switch to @gmail.com (you need to switch ur address to gmail or googlemail )
once you have changed your mail address log out
on your phone goto settings, applications, manage applications and you need to clear cache on the following
google talk, google mail, google apps, market, download manager
turn phone off and on again and goto google talk and log on ur new google address(@gmail.com) once you have done this try downloading a app from market( if you have apps downloading pending cancel and restart.
this is what i did and it worked for me, no factory reset needed
hope it works good luck
Hi, I tried searching for something like this on xda and I couldn't find anything. On my galaxy s2 the calendar app just doesn't sync with my Google mail account. I go into calendar it asks me to go to he Google account sync setting to sync calendar, even though the tick box for sync calender is checked, I click sync now anyway. After it has finished I go back to the calendar app, and it asks me to do the the same thing again. My contacts and even wallpaper form my old phone were synced propyl from my Google account but not my calendar. I just can't seem to find any reason why it isn't working. I've never had any problems like this before on my old rooted htc desire, where was flashing new roms weekly, so why on my galaxy s2. Would someone be able to help me please?
Just wanted to say I have the same problem, hopefully someone can help us.
I think it might be the Samsung social hub, together with the inability if kies to sync with google, and an assumption that you might want to use kies (or a lack of testing with the google calendar)
Try removing your social hub facebook account, and maybe deleting all the calendar data on the phone (under settings/applications/calander) so long as you are confident you have nothing stored locally without a backup.
I find the social hub facebook integration useless at the moment, since it doesn't hide declined invitations for me, so I'm going back to trying the google integration (which means i get birthdays spamming my calendar instead)

I have never used the Social Hub or Kies or even set any calender events on the phone itself but just clearing the calender data did fix the problem, and my Google calender events started syncing.
Thanks

Hi, i had the same issue and i am using a uk generic rom unrooted. problem seems to have corrected itself now. Wat seemed to cure it for me was to sync over my mobile network instead of wifi.

i also had this problem. i fixxed it within checking apps and delete the calendarfiles completely. after this the sync worked. its a problem of google, which have some android users (not only sgs2)
Has anyone been able to get rid of this annoying thing? I've disabled all the sync options within it, but it still shows notifications on the lock screen. If I remove the sync account, it immediately adds it right back in. I think I am going to root this weekend and just entirely remove the "Sony Ericsson Facebook" application, if that works.
It will work, download titanium backup, delete all the crappy facebook, twitter apks. Purchase titanium backup pro to freeze and kill dalvik cache if you want .

Hi there,
yesterday i´ve flashed the new .368 rom on my german arc. I´ve done this with full wipe.
After setup i´ve checked the syncs and there must be a problem with the Picasa Web Album part. The sync is not working anymore.
I can deselect and reselect the option, for a short time sync starts and ends with an error...but to short to read it.
On my x10 with same settings sync runs fine - so i think using a @googlemail.com account is not the problem...
What can i do? I´ve done another wipe and setup but the problem is still there.
Is this a general bug?
I have had the same issue since I updated my Arc as well. Wondered whether you now needed to have the Picasa Web album app on the phone as well?
Has anybody managed to solve this problem?
I have updated my Arc to 2.3.4 in since then Picasa Web Sync does not work. There is no error message, just nothing happens and the sync icon persists. I have for now unchecked this option, but would like to use it
Picasa Sync
I have the same problem with my Arc. I managed to read the error message that flashes up for milliseconds by repeatedly switching sync on & off. It says "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly". Not much help & it doesn't come back! I installed Picasa Downloader instead.
Same issue here on 2.3.4 - 4.0.2.A.0.42. have logged with sony, who say they are not aware of the issue, but will investigate.
Dont have the issue on my Samsung 10.1 Android device (same accout and settings). Only a Sony Ericsson issue?
Have the same problem here.
Originally, my phone was syncing all day, and it totally killed the battery in 4 hours! I cleared the cache and now Picasa fails to sync (but at least the battery isn't getting fried by constant failure to sync and a really tight retry loop)
Hi all, I upgraded from a Z1 a couple weeks now and loving this Z3. I've noticed however that the Xperia with Facebook app isn't syncing the high resolution pictures of my contacts. I'm wondering if this feature is missing or removed. Has anyone else noticed this?
You need to install applications on Facebook to contacts get synchronized
It's present on mine, i noticed it seems to default to "off" under Accounts and Sync though. Go and turn it on.
best solution I've found regarding this matter - download an app called UberSync. Works like a charm (on any phone that allows contact-linking for that matter).
I also had this issue and could not get this to work with high resolution pictures. I downloaded Haxsync, which worked for me.
