EDIT 15TH AUGUST Android Forum having maintenance done and the linked thread has lost its useful info but basically do what 17mayis says below!

Uv most likely uninstalled something that you shouldnt have? or you may just need some sort of market fix!
Sent from my rooted 026 X10i using swype via XDA!!

the only think i unistalled is moximail thats it.
edit.
fixed my problem
thats what i did
this one requires you to go to the Application Settings (Menu — Settings — Applications — Manage Applications) and clear the data in Google Talk, Google Mail, Market, Google Apps, Download Manager and IM.
then i creat a new googlemail acount and done every thing works fine.

yeah i done this and it worked, tho didnt need to create new account, found this on android forums
i have xperia x10
First back up ur phone numbers
now go on ur pc and log on to ur google mail account
once logged on goto settings
now goto accounts and import
where it says send mail as, switch to @gmail.com (you need to switch ur address to gmail or googlemail )
once you have changed your mail address log out
on your phone goto settings, applications, manage applications and you need to clear cache on the following
google talk, google mail, google apps, market, download manager
turn phone off and on again and goto google talk and log on ur new google address(@gmail.com) once you have done this try downloading a app from market( if you have apps downloading pending cancel and restart.
this is what i did and it worked for me, no factory reset needed
hope it works good luck

need help please

hi i just installed cyanogenmod rom on my phone and i login my gmail account...cuz my internet wasnt working at the time.. is there a way i can go back and login my gmail account or do i have to reinstall everything.... thanks
what? i couldnt understand any of that. did you log in or not? if you didnt, just open up gmail and it will prompt you to log in...
with cyanogenmod rom when ever i click on gmail... it just closes right away... i go into setting and try to go to data sync and it wont let me... doesn't do anything...
go to settings>data synchronization
ive tried that it doesn't let me do anything... it doesn't open anything... but in dev tools app there is a google login service...
i knwo there is a way to do it it said so on the page that you skipped that you can do it later but i dont know exactly what it is that you need to do. If all else fails you can always just wipe
oh wait go to your apps drawer and open up Gmail and see what happens
Try this :
Go to settings/applications/manage applications, find "Google apps", delete its data and then reload the Market app (or any Google app that uses your account). It should ask you for your login details again.
Hope this helps

Facebook thumbnails do not load

Has anyone else experienced problems with the integration of facebook app with the contacts, specifally when it comes to showing the friends profile photo? Just did a hard reset yesterday, and before that I was able to see my friends profiles pictures when i linked them in the contacts, next to their name and when they called me. Now all I see is th default gray siloutte. Even if i open up the facebook app, and goto the friends tab, all i see is the default silouette icon...
Help please, this was one of my favorite features, now my people tab is full of the same icons
This may be obvious, but since you have reset your HD2, have you remember to "link" contacts via the contacts menu?

yeah, the little "F" is there on the bottom left...
dont know if it matter or not, am in the UAE, website bans galore, facebook has been reallu s... l o w here lately, starting to think it has something to do with that, anyone in the UAE can confirm?
If you can still access FB then it should work. If you can't then it could be a reason.
I hate to do this, but I might just perform another hard reset, will install nothing this time until i get the facebook pics to work, i disabled HTC messaging via some thread i found here, dont know if that has something to do with it or now

alas , no results, it was already set to zero (as per the link), guess i have no choice but to hard reset to see if this changes...
should i take this opportunity to upgrade to 1.48?
Hard Reset completed, still no luck! have not installed ANY applications, went through the start up wizard, when prompted for wifi, i skipped, then went to social section, and attempted to enter facebook email and pass, log in error, went back, enabled wifi, connected to wifi, then used the exact same user/pass and was successful.
Still do not have my profile picture in my contact card, just the default silouette with the small F...
this only makes me think that it has sometihgn to do with my isp, etisalat

Maybe it's due to Facebook privacy settings? Try checking your facebook settings.
Btw, you need to log in to facebook located at Settings >Data Services> Facebook.
And.. you might want to consider to upgrade to at least Rom 1.48 ( though v1.61 is much better ) since 1.48 has been officially released by HTC.
Mine does not update either, I have to do it manually as autoupdate does nothing!
Ok guys >>>> at last i found the solution
all you have to do is opining you FB from laptop and change the way you login to "unsecure" (http not https) >>>> And its done
now reupdate ur contacts and FB thumbnails appear beside each name
PS: if u want to change it again to the secure mode plz turn off ur Auto FB contacts update
thanks

Android Market auto - installing apps from older build

Hello guys
I've been trying few builds of android and install apps from the market.
When switching to a new build, I link my phone with a googlemail account so all the contacts are restored.
Unfortunately also ALL the apps are sync, downloded and installed aswell from the market, without asking me anything. I do not want this to happen.
This happen everytime, no matter whichever build I was using.
Searched first in google, then in xda but didn't find anything. Does it happen only to me? xD
has anyone got a solution?
thx
I don't know how to get rid of this problem, but it's normal, so you're not the only one. The apps you have downloaded in the market are safed in your google account, because some people have purchased apps and don't want to buy them again..
ok
fair enough then.. cheers
Hmm.. Maybe there is a solution. I never tried, but it may work.
After setting up your phone (the first thing you have to do when you boot a new build) go at first to settings > Accounts & synchronization. Sorry dunno how it's spelled in Englisch, using my phone in German There go to your Google Account and remove the ticks at contacts, mail and calendar. Then go to your market and accept the license agreement.
It could be that the market now doesn't install your apps because you don't sync your google account anymore. But if you're using this account for mail and so on this is no option, will see if I find another possibility.
Edit: Found another solution that worked for other users. In a German forum they told you have to skip the setup at the beginning, go directly to settings > SD-Card & Telephone Memory (something like that) and do a factory reset. Then boot again and the market won't install anything. If this doesn't work try to set up your phone at the beginning and do a factory reset then.
That's all I've found. Now I'm out. Tell me if it worked
Cheers

I realised that it only installs the programs that you had installed in the last build.
Therefore all the apps I removed won't sync..
I probably had a bug in my last build that blocked google to complete sync.. damn xD
However my internet is not that fast as I live in the middle of farms & field, so I'm gonna download all the .apk from internet; then I will put them in the folder Android Apps and the new build just install them on the first boot.
But thanks for your research, I may use it later on.. you never know.
Cheers
merry xmas
turn off Google backup, in settings as well as when FIRST setting up Android after hitting the Android on the first screen. One of the few first things is Google Backup, for apps and bookmarks. Disable this.

Google Accounts, Unfortunately Settings has Stopped.

Hi, I have Intl Version of Note 3 LTE, Rooted on normal firmware, Nothing Special.
Recently i lost many contacts and after searching i found that it is related to my google account, each time i go to Settings-->Accounts-->Google i get "Unfortunately, Settings Has Stopped"
Here is what i tried so far.
1- Cleared Cash and Ram--------->No Result
2- Clearing Settings Data and Cash------>No Results
3- Updating all apps from store then repeating 1 and 2 ------No Results
4- Cleared cash and data of (Google Play Services and Store) then Same to Google Account Manager and disabling it, Deleted (Sync Folder and accounts.db & Accounts.db-Journal from Device/Data/System)---->Restart--->Enable Google Account manager, I manager to delete google Account, when i set it up again the whole problem came back.
5-Tried in Safe mode.
I cannot access it to sync contacts or anything related, I cannot factory reset as i shall loose my whatsapp data since i moved to another country and my old sim is deleted)
Please help ASAP
The problem is because u moved to another country. Try to use Market Unlocker and set to ur original country.

Hi! I had this same issue and it was irritating the bejesus out of me. I didn't find a fix but I found a work around to get into the account sync settings: open your stock gallery app, hit your menu key, click settings and bam you're in. I hope it works for you as well!

This is the 4th thread on this subject in the last 7 days. The question has already been answered. It's a problem with the latest update. Either uninstall them or live with it and wait until the they release a fix.
Good day.
