[SHARE] GALLERY app on FroyoBread - XPERIA X8 General

Well I've noticed that in FroyoBread's Gallery app (Gallery3D), the picture that I am viewing is a bit blurred. But when zooming it in, it goes clearer.
So what i've done was I deleted the Gallery app from the system (because it is a system app) and installed an HD version of the same Gallery app (also Gallery3D).
(I say its a HD version because when I open the Gallery3D.apk on the FroyoBread I saw "drawable-mdpi" and the version I have installed has "drawable-hdpi".)
When I view the same picture, It is now clear, sharper, not blurry like the one on the FroyoBread's Gallery app!
But when I go to Camera app, when I try to press the last picture taken (the upper right mini picture), nothing happens.
The attached file is the "HD" of Gallery app.

If you are a bit more patient, or if the image is sharp.

I am sure the Image is sharp, It was taken from a SLR Cam.

Images unable to refine themselves when you zoom in

I have noticed while using the X10 that Mediascape is unable to display pictures clearly when you zoom into them. Instead of zooming in and enlarging the image so that you can get a clearer/more detailed view of the picture, the image is stretched. There is no refining, and the zoom button in no way takes you towards the "actual image size" where each captured pixel is displayed by a pixel on the screen in a 1:1 ratio..
This makes it impossible to see whether the 8.1MP photos taken with the camera are clear or blurred (as even clear ones are blurred when you zoom in).
I have contacted Sony Ericsson about this issue and they sent me the following reply:
"Thank you for contacting the Sony Ericsson support centre.
We are sorry to hear of the issues you are experiencing with your Sony Ericsson Xperia X10. the issue you are experiencing indicates a software fault on your handset. Therefore, we would recommend performing a software update using the Sony Ericsson Update Service which can be downloaded from the Software Downloads section of www.sonyericsson.com/support
Kind Regards"
The only problem with this reply is that I already know that everyone else with the X10 has experienced the same thing as me when using the zoom function..
Maybe I'm missing something here, but can others out there confirm what they have experienced when zooming in or double tapping captured/high resolution photos on their Xperia X10.

Instagram and ICS roms DHD

Has anyone tried instragram for the DHD running a ICS rom?
I have had the following issues, running instagram on Ice cold sandwich 7 takes images but the upper left corner shows the upper left corner of the previous image taken. The image preview also doesn't work and is a black screen unless you look at images from the gallery before hand, then the image preview works fine.
I have tried it but what I have done is this.
Go to settings -> Camera Settings and turn of Instagram Advanced Camera
When you'll then go and take the photograph it will automatically import it to Instagram.
BTW. I am using the same rom as you
It's the same ICS camera glitch also gallery buggy,,, but for the most part works fine.
You can also install tp camera eg. pudding camera so when you try to take pictures from instagram, you'll be asked will use which camera software, the ics one or pudding camera

Camera app

Hi
I am not a fan of the camera app, especially because it oblige me to use Gallery to open recent photos.
I would like to know if I use another camera app, Google camera for instance, will I have the same image quality ?
I understood that there is software enhancement for photos processing with the S8, is it dependant of the camera app or not ?
Thx
I like this app and would love to see it on my Galaxy S6, is there a way to port it to other devices?
Other apps i used where Open Camera or Camera FV-5
Greetings

xprit HTC Sense stock apps on HTC U play issues

I've recently got a HTC U play and I was very disappointed to see a lot of my favourite HTC apps are not present in the phone's software. I found " HTC Sense™ Home and Themes | New Apps | Sense 9 | for all devices [12/08/2017] " xprit's thread and I downloaded the last version of HTC music, gallery and calendar. However they are not working as expected. The HTC gallery app simply crashes after opening. The HTC calendar app does not show any theme image texture (and it is automatically replaced by the theme color) after the second opening (after the installation process or new theme apply). The same for HTC music, but the image texture is replaced by white color and the controls (like the option button) are not visible. Any ideea how to fix all that problems?
HTC Music and Galery are no further developed and supported by HTC and thus will surely have problems running on Android 6 and above. The Kalender should still be available as an App download on the PlayStore. This version should run just fine - at least it does on my U11 thus far.
For galery if you don't want to use Google Fotos You might take a look at the App Camera Roll on PayStore. Regarding Music I never used it IMHO, have used Player Pro for years and just recently switched to Stellio as those provide as folder view which is more familiar and convenient for my personal use.
