Im seriously retarded...
I have flashed CWM on my old SGS before and had no issues... I cant for the life of me flash it on my unlocked 2.3.4 though
The directions int he dev thread seem a little skewed... Can anyone PLEASE help me with an easy step by step guide in English?
(No offense to anyone)
Thank you!!!!

I seriously agree!
Can someone please point me in the right direction? Cant I just flash that zip file that CWM is in through the charging/ recovery way? (old way) :O
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1138541
Directions seem fine to me
how to install:
Windows:
unzip recovery-en-goapk.zip to D:\ ## Unzip the file to wherever you want D:\ just makes it easy because there is no folders.
open a CMD in windows. ## And navigate to your fastboot directory. For example mine is on D:\Atrix\tools\
fastboot flash recovery D:\recovery-en-goapk.img ## Once you are in the fastboot directory type fastboot flash recovery D:\recovery-en-goapk.img or let says you unzipped it to C:\users\downloads. Then you would try fastboot flash recovery C:\users\downloads\recovery-en-goapk.img
I would say if you can't figure out the instructions you are better off leaving it be. Instructions were as clear as glass.

Firstly get the correct CWM recovery from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1138541
Then ensure that your phone still shows "unlocked" when you boot up. If it does not install the "pudding" sbf through RSD Lite again.
Ensure you have fastboot for your OS , or better still have the android SDK installed (fastboot is in the "TOOLS" folder I believe).
Extract the recovery to the root of your OS. Usually C: and as it has a long drawn out name rename it recovery.img (must have the .img extension)
Plug your phone in via the USB cable and put it into fastboot mode by holding down the volume botton while powering on the phone. When you see "fastboot" appear at the top of the screen release the volume down mutton and press volume up once. You should see "starting fasboot protocol support".
Then using a command prompt get into the folder that you put fastboot in.
If it is in the root of your C: then type cd c:\fastboot
Then simply issue the command that goes with where you put the recovery image. Assuming you renamed it recovery.img and left it in the root drive that is C: then the command will look like this.
fastboot flash recovery c:\recovery.img
Then issue the command fastboot reboot
Hope that helps.
1. Drop the recovery .img in the same folder fastboot is in
2. Shift+right click in folder > "Open command window here"
3. Type in fastboot flash recovery recovery-en-whateveritscalled.img then fastboot reboot when its done
4. ???
5. PROFIT!!
EDIT: Oh, and of course you must be in Fastboot mode for this to work

Hold the HOME button along with the POWER button while turning on your phone. You should encounter recovery at some point. If not, flash a recovery rom by typing:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery <image_name>
Replace <image_name>, with the recovery image and remove the brackets.
So for example:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

The 'display initialize' thing is a part of fastboot. Do the commands when you're in fastboot.

er dudes remember that the blue screen and white text is only there if you use mur4ik's bootloaders and not the one you get from the kdz
If you have blue screen its not dead
sudo ./fastboot -w
sudo ./fastboot flash boot boot.img
sudo ./fastboot flash system system.img
sudo ./fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Maybe its your adb server cant remember the exact command but its something like
sudo ./adb kill-server
sudo ./adb server
Or something along those lines look it up on google its the command to restart the adb server if you use more than one device or do alot of work with adb sometimes it will show it cant connect to the phone when really it can it just needs to be rest because something has screwed up on the system and or phone.
Hope this helps and good luck if you still have problems give us a few more details and what happend where but your gt540 is nowhere near broke trust me.

Only fastboot works when in bootloader, adb needs a custom recovery or android to work. Use fastboot to flash the images (run the install all bat file).

Connect your device to the PC in fastboot mode and type "fastboot devices". Do you get an output?
Remember that you have to run the command line from the folder where your fastboot.exe resides.

Try this Method
De-grade to Kitkat by downloading Kitkat firmware UL-ASUS_T00F-WW-2.22.40.540-user ( Kitkat).
Then Extract Fastboot.img, Boot.img and recovery.img
flash these files throufgh fastboot, for that downoad minimal adb tools and connect your phone through usb when in fastboot mode
flash these files by clicking right while holding shift on the ADB tools folder in Blank space and choose Open command window here .
then type these 4 commands :
fastboot flash fastboot fastboot.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader [wait for the fastboot mode to reopen in phone then]
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
after these 4 commands go to recovery through selecting recovery from fastboot.
In recovery, select Update from adb. Now copy firmware.zip in that ADB tools folder which is UL-ASUS_T00F-WW-2.22.40.540-user.zip and rename it to update.zip for ease.
now type in Cmd :
adb sideload update.zip
after this clear data/cache in phone and Your phone will boot.

That's the generic approach you need to take on a normal phone. Samsung phones don't have a fastboot mode, you need to go into Download Mode and flash it in there.
