hi,
another problem with the htc touch keyboard, hardware keyboard of my hermes is not working when i have installed htc touch keyboard.
When i remove it, the hardware keyboard is ok.
There any fix for this issue?
After I open hardware keyboard on my QTEK 9100 - screen does not react to touching, everything else is working ok I can use it as always, but if I want to click something, I must close the keyboard to do that.
How could I fix this or is this normal to Wizard?
I have two HTC 8525's with Windows Mobile 6.1. They both are having the same funky keyboard problems... sometimes they work perfect - sometimes they don't. Sometimes when I push any key on the slide-out keyboard it will only activate the start menu. My only option out of this is to use the screen keyboard. The screen keyboards malfunction often as well... the delete button will stop working and my only way around this I've found is to change screen keyboards (from keyboard to letter recognizer or vice versa). Honestly, I know just enough about HardSPL's and upgrading ROMs to be dangerous. Maybe I fried it... but, any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

I've had about 4 Hermes and never had a problem with the keyboard. I presume yours is a hardware problem but out of interest exactly which ROM are you using?
Hi,
I've just bought an eee pad transformer with an azerty *dock* keyboard but i'm really disappointed by the dock. The problem is that I don't know if it is my problem or a problem from the keyboard... I'm a quick typer (around 60 words per minute), and have used a lot of keyboard, but never a chiclet one.
When I'm typing on the eee pad keyboard, it seems that i have to type quite hard on the key to register my hit. When I hit not in the center of the key, but let's say in the side of the key, it doesn't work well. Anyway, when I'm typing as usual, into Polaris office, it doesn't work very well... But when I hit hard on a key, no problem it's working... But I don't find the keyboard really sensitive. Are you all accustomated to this kind of keyboard ? Or is it my keyboard which has a problem ?
I tried with a terminal emulator and the problem is the same. I've even tried the same chiclet keyboard on a asus eeepc (the shell one), which looks like the eeepad dock keyboard (it's difficult to test an eeepad in France - shops are out of stock, so i took a shot with something which has a similar keyboard) and the eeepc shell keyboard is far more reponsive than the eeepad dock keyboard...
So for quick typing, how do you find your own keyboard ? I confess that I'm probably going to return the product, the quality of the keyboard is really an issue for me...
Thanks for reading me !
I'm able to type at probably 90% of my usual 80wpm clip with standard, full-size keyboards. So, I'm pretty happy with the TF's keyboard dock.

Dosnt the Keyboard attachment have USB? can you plug in another keyboard in to the keyboard o_0 !?
I'm confused... are you using the TF keyboard dock? but how did you connect that to an asus EEE PC?
if not, you are connecting a second USB keyboard to the TF keyboard dock itself? can I ask why?
Sorry if my message was confusing !
I'm using an eee pad transformer TF101 with an AZERTY dock keyboard. And this keyboard is not really responsive... Since in France it's really difficult to find a model to test the eeepad in a shop, I tried the keyboard of an asus eeepc shell which seems to be very similar to the eeepad dock keyboard. And I find the eeepc shell keyboard much more responsive than the dock keyboard. It's really a problem for me as you might imagine. And i'm not connecting another usb keyboard, i've just bought the eee pad last week and find the keyboard not really good ! So I would like to know how other eeepad owner deal with the keyboard, is it easy to type or have you some difficulties on it ? For instance, when I'm typing gently and fast on the keyboard, it really does not respond like a usual laptop keyboard !
You can maybe make the experience to type a key on the side, very gently, until the key is pressed, and see that nothing appears on the screen. So it seems that when the finger types with a certain angle, which i do when I'm fast typing, the key does not respond at all. I have to type straight on the key, to get a response. I don't know it it's normal or if it's my keyboard ?
The following keys on my sliding keyboard do not work: spacebar, a, m, r, etc.
The keys that don't work have the same feel as those that do. I think it could be a software issue and not hardware.
Anyone else have this problem, or the solution?
Thanks, Emmott

Haven't had any problems like this. As far as I know, there aren't any keyboard settings apart from language (which I think is mainly for the on-screen keyboard) and strange that the spacebar isn't working.
Sounds like you might have a faulty device. May be worth contacting Dell or your retailer to exchange your device.
