Ok, so I have a Bell atrix and followed the instructions on this thread to install GreyBlur:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1070076
I have not done deodex on the phone.
My phone ran out of battery and shut down, so I plugged it into the wall with the moto charger and the red logo came on, but then froze. Usually the battery charge status would come on (before i installed GreyBlur). But now it just gets stuck on the red M logo. If i unplug the phone, remove battery, install back in and turn on the phone without the cable, the phone turns on fine and i can charge it with the wall charger after the phone is booted. But not when the phone is turned off.
anyone knows why?
protip 1# change thread title to relate to the problem you face instead of 'OMGZ LOLZOR HELP MEEEE!!!!' you will get more responses
now for your help
a few things: do you have Tenfers CWM installed? im assuming you do as you are trying to do Greyblur
sounds like to me the phone is bootlooping. my solution would be to start clean with a frsh SBF install as this will be the quickest solution
I changed the title, thanks for the tip
Yes i do have CWM installed.
I have already installed greyblur with no problem as i followed the instructions that were provided in the link above.
There is nothing wrong with the phone as long as it is not plugged in to the charger. It boots just fine and loads greyblur. But as soon as I shut the phone down and plug the charger, it gets stuck on the M logo.
I am kind of a noob and would appreciate it if you tell me what you mean by 'installing a fresh SBF'
thank you
Hey there,
you may want to make sure that you set the system recovery app back to charge mode as this may be causing your error.
^^^ thank you so much. I tried what you said and it worked
glad to help

Guys,
This happened as I woke up this morning. Saw my phone showing the screen of battery charging when being switched off and looping back in the same. The phone won't restart. Tried flashing JVB from download mode but the moment phone is switched off. The same battery charging screen shows up and the phone doesn't boot up. Kindly provide some expertise on the same. Thanks in advance.
Just Checked: It'll boot up when connected to a charger but otherwise it wouldn't boot up. All this is on JVB haven't tried going cyanogen yet.
So can you or can you not enter download mode?
try remove battery and wait 5 min.,than try again
Hi all,
After flashing some custom roms (and since flashing completely back to stock), whenever I charge the phone while it's turned off it gets stuck on the grey battery logo screen (with the "loading" circle in the middle) even when I pull the charger out. At this point I need to pull the battery before I can turn the phone on.
When I first got the phone it used to show a green animated battery logo and when pulling out the charger it would turn off again.
Does anyone know what partition this problem is related to and how to flash it back to stock? I'm running TWRP recovery...
It's not the biggest issue in the world but I'd like to fix it all the same.
Thanks

Why not just go into cwm or twrp recovery and do a "factory reset", that will should fix the problem.
I had the same issue at one time and done a factory reset, and it solved the problem for me.
Good luck!
Same here. Did u find any solution?
Btw. what are your specs?
I am on i9505, FoxHound 0.7, KT-SGS4 Kernel and CWM Recovery.

Hallo,
i hope someone can help me here.
After a low battery my phone doesnt turn on any more. After some research i thought it might by the "death battery problem". So i but the phone on Laptop Charge port for 6 hours and i got it booted in to system.
But only for some seconds and it turned of again. So i decided to buy a new battery. Installed it and tried to boot. Sometimes it bootet in to System, sometime just got Blackscreen. I tried hard reset in it showed some errors. That was some days ago. Now it boots and everytime blackscreen. I tried also longer presses like 10 secs and 60secs. I tried fast press for hard reset with boot logo. I have no detection on Windows. I never rooted the phone and it has still stock rom. Must be the latest kitkat 4.4.2 i guess. I checked every cable. No charge led or logo.
Hey dude check out my video https://youtu.be/rpmbk9RFE_U there is step by step instruction how to reflash your rom... Just watch im here for any questions.
Hey guys,
I have an LG V20 vs995, that's rooted using the dirtySanta method. All was running well until I went to swap batteries. On power up I see LG, then it goes to multiple bars of static with what appears to be a circle in the middle. However if I plug in power then unplug it, I see the LG screen followed by the Safety check warning; then it boots up normally. I'm running TWRP with Magisk
Here are some things I tried.
reflash twrp
reflash kernel update
I feel like my only other option is to reset phone, but before I go there, I just wanted to see if anyone had any other ideas.
Thank you!
Solution
Hey guy's,
I found the fix for my issue, and just wanted to share. The screen that I was stuck at was the firmware update, but because I'm rooted I get static on this screen which in turn makes it hard to read. The other night I was stuck in rain. My charge port must have gotten a little wet, and this will make the phone think that a data connection is plugged in ready to update firmware. The quick fix is to dip the tip of the usb cable into rubbing alcohol, then insert into my phone charge port a few times. This cleand up my change port, and now my phone boots perfectly.
Had I known from the beginning, what screen I was stuck on this would have saved me a lot of troubleshooting.
