i would recommend any launcher over stock sense launcher. that thing is a memory hog

When you install another launcher app sense launcher can be frozen in titanium backup. But it shouldn't run on its own because it hasn't been called by the system to run.

Oww ok. But one more thing. Why install a sense ROM if your gonna install a different launcher ? Wasn't sense roms meant for there widgets.
Also when froozen, sense apps disappear like clock music etc.

I like to switch to different launchers on sense sometimes so I don't have to flash a different ROM to change things up once in awhile. I'm starting to think aosp is just too boring for me. I like sense and miui lately.

The Sense camera is phenomenal, it's part of the reason I get drawn back to Sense. There's more to Sense than just a launcher, ya know

No. It's launcher2 from the G2 system dump.
This screenshot should show it a bit more; no home app has screen previews like Launcher2.

On Sense ROM's it won't work like it should. Problem is, that the phone application isn't installed.

What phone app? The stock one? It'll use the HTC one. Quote a few sense roms have stock contacts and dialer anyway

Only if you adb push it. ADW is configured as stock Android launcher on CM6 so you'll have to remove that to get this

Set LauncherPro as default and reboot the phone. (I´m not sure but it should work)

Go to Settings--> applications. Scroll down to HTC Sense (or look for Sense) and Stop it and erase data.
Make sure you don't start Sense after doing this, so go directly to Launcherpro
You can also freeze it with Titanium Backup, so it won't be running.
Are there deodexed versions if htc apps that we can run in different roms like miui?
Like the weather app or flashlight app, I don't mean widgets because I know that's not possibl

Also HTC keeps them locked down a.k.a there there not open source thats why u cant use them with ADW or any other home replacement. I hope that helps you understand it a little more

I tried that but it doesn't theme my dialer, which I thought was weird.
Every time I click home, I get the loading and the screen takes a minute to load up. Its not too long, but its annoying enoug. Does anyone have a solution? Thanx

I'm on CM7 so I don't have Sense anymore. When I did I would get that loading screen frequently. Not sure about the Desire port fixing it but if you haven't tried it yet and like Sense then you should def give it a try.

I just flashed desire z rom, the problem is gone. I am glad because I love sense, and its got lots of compatibility and skins and bhtc account. Its amazing but stock is still bad

That's not really a solution.
I never had that happen, ever, on any sense rom. Sounds like there is a lot going on in the background.

I disagree it's not a solution, it is a possible solution. It's a round about way of saying that the launcher itself is slow loading, and that a different launcher will alleviate the problem.
You're assuming the launcher is slow loading for other reasons then that it just is. It certainly won't hurt to try a different launcher and see if that fixes the issue the OP has.
I am an app dev, not a hacker but i noticed between dz software and shift software, the same loading screen happens whenever you change themes. So many htc took a shorcut and made the launcher occasionally reload the sense "theme" i would not know how to fix this in the stock roms but, thats information i do have.

Could be that you just have too many widgets on your homescreen that it reloads every time you press home.
