Set LauncherPro as default and reboot the phone. (I´m not sure but it should work)

Go to Settings--> applications. Scroll down to HTC Sense (or look for Sense) and Stop it and erase data.
Make sure you don't start Sense after doing this, so go directly to Launcherpro
You can also freeze it with Titanium Backup, so it won't be running.

Apparently its customizable, but I can't figure out how. Anyone else tried it and managed to change the dock shortcuts?

A system dump of a test rom has been released. Got special giggle Voice widgets and a new stock Launcher.

Screenshot shows new GVoice widgets and the new Launcher. Not any different, except more screens and an apparently customizable dock.

how do you install this, sorry im a noob
Isn't that screenshot just showing ADW Launcher, or something similar?

No. It's launcher2 from the G2 system dump.
This screenshot should show it a bit more; no home app has screen previews like Launcher2.

On Sense ROM's it won't work like it should. Problem is, that the phone application isn't installed.

Only if you adb push it. ADW is configured as stock Android launcher on CM6 so you'll have to remove that to get this

Reducing home screens

Coming from a captivate I could delete home screens. Anyway to remove unwanted screens on aria? I've Googled and searched with no avail. Thanks for your help.

Are you on cm6? sense?
Sent from my Liberty using XDA App
Install LauncherPro. It is a home replacement that is a substitute for sense. With it you will be able to adjust how many homescreens you want.
Will installing that kill my HTC Sense?
is there a way to do this on cm6 with adw?

it will not. it should be pretty easy to switch back to sense if you don't like how things are looking with launcherpro. Chances are, you'll never look back.

It wont kill the Sense integration with the phone, but it will kill the Sense widgets.

Thank you. I like launcher pro and the only widget I liked was that clock with the weather. But love having fewer screens, thanks again.

no problem man.
yea i know what you mean about missing the htc widgets, my gf felt the same thing about her aria too, until i set up her phone to look like this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9353039&postcount=205
she really like it and didn't even think about weather anymore lol
if you really want that sense look, there are other widgets that can replicate the same thing... search for fancy widgets. BeautifulWidgets is also a good alternative.

that's what i did last night. installed LP over HTC Sense 2.2 Froyo. reduced the number of screens and i like LP because they add unread email notifications over the gmail app icon. it's cleaner and customizable.

(Q) Sense preview on Stock 2.2

Hiya guys, quick question.
Is there a way to have the Sense style preview (the one where you prress the home key & it shows you all the screens) on Stock 2.2? I'm rooted so it doesn't bother me if I have to flash something. Its the only feature of Sense I like
Thanks in advance
Sent from my HTC Desire on Stock 2.2 (No Sense)
Just get a new launcher. I think Launcherpro and ADW Launcher have it default.

I don't want a new launcher though, I'm loving Stock Android. If its not available just let me know & I will live without, But if I can get it I would be in heaven!
I don't think there's a way to. However, you can set LauncherPro to look exactly like stock 2.2 in the settings.
I think is to pinch the on-screen will show that kind of screen, from the first n1 Rom I used.

default launcher issue

So lately I've been having an issue with any launcher I set as default. I'm rooted S-off running Iced Glacier 1.1.6 and just about every time i push the home button I get asked which launcher I'd like to use, no matter which I set as default...So I wiped cache partition and Dalvik cache and when that didn't work I did a data/factory reset and reinstalled Iced Glacier 1.1.6....any one else come across this?
Thanks in advance
Ditto here, can I push ADW to overwrite the sense launcher? if yes how. This is a real PIA.

Just asking to make sure, but are you selecting the "set as default launcher" checkbox before you make your selection? That box must be ticked for your selection to stick.

I have selected it. It sometimes holds for a bit but aster using a few apps it starts asking again.
I actually had same issue with my g1 running cyanogen mod when I installed the market version.

Try using an app from the market called home switcher. It makes it easier to switch default launchers and may help locking yours in. Don't know but it's worth a shot.

The other option you have is deleting the launchers that you are not using.
I tried home switcher for froyo. And home smack, still same. I'll try backup, wipe and only install adw tonight, see if that makes a difference.

When you install another launcher app sense launcher can be frozen in titanium backup. But it shouldn't run on its own because it hasn't been called by the system to run.

Oww ok. But one more thing. Why install a sense ROM if your gonna install a different launcher ? Wasn't sense roms meant for there widgets.
Also when froozen, sense apps disappear like clock music etc.

I like to switch to different launchers on sense sometimes so I don't have to flash a different ROM to change things up once in awhile. I'm starting to think aosp is just too boring for me. I like sense and miui lately.
