DHD cannot find speciffic GSM Operator ?! - Desire HD General

Hello guys,
i have a brand new DHD (black if matter...) which was branded to Orange UK.
I have unbranded it, permroot, ENboot and etc... but i've also unlocked it via a code given from a website.
Everyting is fine, except the fact that it cannot find my service provider - BG Globul (cosmote).
It can connect with no problems to Mtel ( vodafone) or Vivatel here in Bulgaria, but when i insert my Globul sim card, nothing happens in AP list, i have globul's APs and etc, but when i search manually in the network list Globul is invisible, my old desire has no problems.
I'm using now LeeDroid with radio 26.09.04.11M2 and the same RIL... With the stocks was the same...
Any ideas where might be the problem ?!

Have you tried with another Globul card?

i have same problem with lebara in norway but all works fine like i m connected to it.

Ran you unlocking program as mentioned and all was as promised its now unlocked.
I put my Uk T mobile sim into it and it cant pick up the network.
Only networks avalible are o2 and vodafone.
Friend put his vodafone sim in and it works fine!!!
I have looked on the forum and theres a mention about the network speed but when i go to programs and cant find the aplication to change this.
Could the problem be that i have the latest o2 radio stack?
I have looked everywhere for a t mobile on but to no avail.
Any help is much loved.
Mark
Confirming you can't even make a phone call with your SIM card?
Yeah sorry did i miss the point lol
The only two uk networks avalible to choose from are o2 and vodafone.
No T mobile No Orange No otheres at all.
When i put my sim card in (t mobile) theres no signal and cant make a call.
Could it be the radio stack?
Theres nothing on my phone to change the frequance.!
rom version 3.17.03 eng
radio version 4.21.00 From o2.
Cheerz
Both O2 and Vodafone are on the 900 mhz band, try looking at the gsm band chosen under bootloader, you need 900/1800.
And is there a easy way to change this?
Many thanks
Mark
Go the boot loader screen (Power button + soft reset) ... wait till "GSM OK" appears and then press the calendar button to get the menu.
Good luck
Thats it
Your a genius
Thanks soooo much.

Unlock the Branding Vodafone HTC P 3600

HI @ ALL
Im from germany and i wanna Unlock the Branding from the HTC P3600.
I want flash another Roms and wanna use the GPS.
Can somebody helps me? Maybe in German??
Thankkkssssssssss
Unbranding vodafone S300
Hi a4d2,
You just have to unlock it with SIM_CID_Unlock_V1.zip.
With it, you can also flash the ROM. After that, you can use any other SIM, from any other carrier than Vodafone, and also flash it with any other ROM, or Rom Upgrade.
I have tested it a few weeks ago, and now my vodafone S300 is working fine, with another carrier, and an upgraded ROM, as if it was buy as a free terminal.
Good luck!
I got Vodafone Device from Spain and flush with New ROM. Works fine with any GSM operators here in India.
SIM_CID_Unlock_V1.zip worked fine for mine, too.
My vodafone compact GPS was not locked. Using it with a O2/Alice SIM since day one after delivery and works perfect.
The branding is limited to the welcome screen and printed logo on the case. I have not yet found any other limitation.

Don't know what you mean
What do you mean by vodaphone radio? Any radio should work with vodaphone, some better than others, but still...
mine is 1.50.08.11 and without problems so far.
To put another radio in a rom:
download dutty nbh tool.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=296311&highlight=duttys+nbh+tool
download a radio rom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=348177
Download your favorite rom, unpack it with dutty's nbh tool and repack it with your favorite radio.
But don't you mean the network setting wizzard download from the HTC e-Club?
Network Settings Wizards
Download a wizard which lets you install connection settings for your device (Web, WAP, MMS) for a selection of mobile operators.

Differences between Orange and Generic

Hello all,
I have just got a Orange HTC Hero (uk), and wondered what the limitation/differences are between the Orange firmware and the Generic firmware?
If I wanted to change the firmware to generic, would it be simply a case of rooting the phone and flashing a generic ROM?
I think the only difference is that the Orange firmware will include any changes that are needed to operate with the Orange network.
I have not found any limitations at all.
Unless you need to use another operators SIM, I wouldn't worry about it.
I switched from the Orange ROM that came with the phone (v1) to the rooted generic version of 2.73.
The only things missing were
- the Orange splash screen on boot up
- the Orange bookmarks in the browser
That's it - even the APN setting were intact.
