Porting MIUI Question! - Wildfire General

Hi all, i am just wondering has anyone had success in porting MIUI to Wildfire. Either semi booting it or fully booting it.
I have decided to give porting a shoot so far i am getting a boot loop so i can not logcat anything.
I know its mainly based on ARM V7 but its using a CM7 kernel so surely it could be ported i know it would require a lot of work i.e converting it from HDPI to LDPI/MDPI but i have some spare time hence why i am having a bash.
If anyone knows someone that can help or you have tried yourself please PM me.

I just dont understand why the devs dont port MIUI to smaller res screens or older processors, cuz it doesnt look anything special or got some very intensive eyecandy or w/e, i had it on hd2, removed 10 mins after flashing and back to hyperdroid ^^
but, for each his own, good luck with porting

From what i can gather the ARM V6 can be a issue as the MIUI rom is for ARM7 there is firmware for Wifi GPS etc but i am willing to help port this rom. With a bit of help from a Master.

[Q] Chinese Kernel on Miui Roms

I tried flashing both MIUI gingerbread based ROMS on my A953, and i've got problems with both the brightness and the keybord lights; I read it might be because of a different Kernel being needed
I dont have that Kernel and i cant post on the Development section.
If someone has it or knows where to get it I'll be much obliged
Thanks

How i can port ICS AOSP?

Hi everybody.
Who tell me , how port ICS AOSP rom from this http://maclaw.pl/?page_id=180 . I think AOSP will be good speed and smooth on this device. I used some guide's to ''Fastest and simples port...'' , but any don't help me port THIS ROM (stop on boot image).
I used Miroslav build - CM9.
PS. Don't post comment: ''that device is too old for ICS , check AOSP 2.3.7 bla, bla'' . Everything is possible if u want!

If we tell it to everybody that ICS & JB projects are too heavy for our device, is true. We have to understand that, I want a working ICS or JB, course I do! But we have to put our feet on the earth and see that LG Swift cannot run even 95% functional ICS or JB rom.
Sorry if I didn't help you, but the reality is that.
@up I don't need thats posts...wait for realy help.
HQ mpeg4 movie without QComm decoders it was incredible...it was.
Naaa this types of cheap and dirty ports will never do. Go check out xda-university.com great guides by devs on how to build aosp ROMs kernels etc.

Hi Murali,
The nature of mobile development is such as you have mentioned above. It doesn't work like windows or linux etc where you can install a generic OS on any system configuration by any manufacturer. The firmware has to be specifically built for your device. It takes great skill to port inter-device especially inter-manufacturer ROMs, so the fact that you actually have a bootable and semi functional SENSE ROM for a non HTC device itself is a big achievement. But it will never function on your Micromax phone like it does on an actual HTC phone. There are too many dependencies to counter. Also, there is a lot of closed source code that is not freely available to developers, especially with overlays like Sense and TouchWiz.
I would suggest you look for a good Custom ROM built on your phone's official firmware or wait for support from CyanogenMod, PA, Slim or such series to offer support to your device.
Sorry for the bad news, but I hope it helps.

It might. Then again, it might not. Changing kernels can make a huge difference in performance, both in a good and a bad way. There are too many variables to contend with, and without a strong active community behind your device, any answer I give you will be just guesswork and not based on facts. You can always try out a couple of compatible kernels and test out the difference.
Sorry I can't be of more help.

Can someone help me build a stable stock ROM?

I am planning to build my own custom stock ROM, I need help with a few things..!
1)I want to make a prerooted deodexed stock ROM - So my question is from Base ROM of the latest new build, how and where do i find that. I have an idea of how to deodex the ROM, but suggestions are welcomed. Also, if I make a new ROM, from fully stock, how do i make it prerooted with no bugs at all using the latest TWRP recovery.
a) SO, according to my thinking..I will obviously need a fully stock Marshmallow ROM with the latest build, I will root it and then copy the whole ROM to my folder and edit from that? Is that what has to be done? If no..plz assist.
2)I like to use fonts - so I want my ROM to have it pre-installed with a beautiful font
3)Battery tweak - I need some help in building a build.prop file,
4)Performance - I need to make this ROM as stable as it is stock, so i really don't mind to make the performance a little faster.
5)I wanted to also install some good theme pre-installed in my ROM, so would it be possible? if yes how to do it.
I have a basic idea on how to build a ROM, i just need someone to help me with this and whoever can help, will definitely get all the credits
a) we can definitely work together and keep building this ROM for more performance.
b)We will also try to update it with the latest builds as and when required.
SO, someone who is really willing to help are all welcomed
Hoping someone can help me build a ROM for our beloved Moto X play.
