ok i found one issue on why typing in the browser lags with the dock. the issue seams to be when the mouse dissapears when u *start typing or *touch the screen, during that time the typing stops to a hault and once the mouse dissapears typing is very smooth, this must be a reason why i never had this much lag with the previous version on android due to it not having that feature.
To test start typing in a forum, move the mouse, then start typing, it wont go anywhere till it dissapears
seams like the mouse even lags scrolling in ADW EX. once the pointer is on the screen scrolling in adw goes to almost 15fps. but once the mouse dissapears is back to a very fluid scroll.

is the any way to make the scrolling smoother instead of the jumps you normally get with the D-pad, for an example, in a browser?
As it is now, when in a browser and if I were to press right on the D-pad, it jumps too far and I can't see the text. in the frustration, i'd have to pull out the sylus and us the drag method.
is there a solution?
I use PIE with PIEPlus 2.2 for browsing, and every time I click into a text box on a web page the on screen keyboard pops up - this is very annoying as I use full screen mode and this causes the screen to come out of full screen mode while the keyboard pops up. Also I'm in landscape mode with the hardware keyboard slid out, so the on-screen keyboard is not needed.
I'm sure this problem never happened before, I'm just wondering if anyone knows of a setting or whatever I might have changed?
Use nullkeyboard

Also, if you start typing on the hardware keyboard while te software keyboard is on the screen, it'll disappear and only reappears when you tap te "keyboard button" instead of appearing every time you select a text box.
Hey there everyone, I just got an Apple Bluetooth Keyboard and I was wandering if there is some kind of list that tells the possible keyboard shortcuts available.
so far, I´ve found that cmd+f4 puts it to sleep or wakes it up, but I cannot "unlock" it. That is the main thing I want to find out how to do, but as much as I try, I cannot find the shortcut.
This might not be the same for you since I have a nook, not a tab, but...
For me the cmd key doesn't seem functional. Cmd-f4 and f4 both toggle the screen on/off and lock it (but not unlock)
The menu button seems to be mapped to to f1. Hitting escape seems to behave like the back button (gg vi from the terminal emulator).
The thing seems to very much map to the soft-keyboard. For example, alt-a makes a # (pound sign). Even more like the soft keyboard, you don't have to hold the alt. Push alt, release. Push a release, and you have #.
Also sometimes when I am just typing away it pops up randomly with a little window with options for random accented characters. I haven't found a pattern with that yet, but it is extremely annoying.
Hitting shift twice turns on caps lock, but the real caps lock doesn't work.
This line up with the Tab's behaviour? Anyone else find any useful shortcuts, or know a good reference? I'm betting a lot of these behaviours are shared between android devices and random bluetooth keyboards.
After the recent update the trackpad has reverted to its original setting, I must admit I preferred the trackpad mirroring finger use on the screen moving your fingers upwards to push the screen upwards, and swiping down to move the screen down has on the screen. Getting rid of the flakey pinch to zoom, and the option to use mouse pointer instead of gesture pointer is welcome. Keyboard lag greatly reduced.
I am pretty sure the gestures have been reverted back to save any backlash from apple, My Macbook pro pushes the screen up using upward motion on the trackpad, also the physical design of the keyboard dock from above closely mirrors the MBP.
Is there an option to use the trackpad in either direction as I cannot see one in settings?
Paul
I'm not sure if it affects the scrolling direction, but there is an option under Keyboard & Input to change the mouse pointer. I'd play with that.
Yes done that and changed mouse pointer back to arrow instead of circle. There is no option for track pad screen movement.
appologies your right, just have to live with the circle curser in gesture mode
Leanback keyboard works pretty weird... When it pops up on its own, the cursor won't move to other letters... Unless I back out of the keyboard and re-open it. Any thoughts?
