[Q] Weatherbug Elite and MN 4.5.25 - Nook Color Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I installed MN 4.5.25 (thanks GabrialDestruir!!) after restoring to stock from AN on 1.1 and went to reload Weatherbug elite from my titanium backup. The reload failed and i went to the market to redownload it. It didn't show in the market. I followed the steps to reset the market and show all apps. That worked, but when i went to install it, the install failed saying it was missing libraries.
I searched the forums but haven't found any clues -- anyone else see this issue?

I'd be interested in this as well. I have tried numerous times to load it but no dice.

installing MN 4.6.16 fixed the issue, now weatherbug works fine.
i was able to get it to install after applying a google maps fix, but it still wouldn't run. applying the new MN did the trick.

[Q] EB13 and Android Market Crash

There was a brief thread on February 19 concerning the Android Market crashing. The person with the problem said he flashed a new ROM and that solved the problem. Well, I really am not a ROM flasher, so that won't help. I had the updated market, upgraded to EB13, and all was well. Then suddenly yesterday I started getting an error "market.proces.com.android.vending has stopped." I have cleared the cache and the app data, and when I do market can be accessed, the agreement to terms screen comes on, and after I agree, I get the market, but within a minute it will crash again with the same error.
I tried to reinstall the update.zip from the Samsung site, but it won't let me (presumably because I already updated to 2.2.1?). So what do I do? Is my only option a factory reset? And if so how can I backup all my data and apps. I am rooted, and do have MyBackup Pro, but it too is giving me problems, crashing at various points as I try to backup my data. I hope someone out there can help. Thanks.
Update: I did do a hard reset, after managing to have MyBackup Pro backup my data and apps. I got into the Market after signing on, and re-downloaded MyBackup Pro -- but then the ERROR started again, "market.proces.com.android.vending has stopped." WTF?
You can always try to Odin eb13 to a fresh install and see if that works.
Thanks. I may just get another.
I have had this problem and it is related to a bad update of.eb13. ODiN is th only solution that I could figure out.

[Q] download unsuccesful

I am using the NC 1.2 with the manual nooter. I restored some of my data using titanium backup. Anytime I try to use the market place to update or download files, it say "download unsuccesful. try again later". I have tried several times. I have tried removing and replacing the sd card. I have tried the steps for clearing the marketplace and google framework. Please Help. How do I fix this? I am using the latest nooter (4.16)
Thanks

Package file is invalid

I posted this in another forum but had no response there, so I'll try here.
I was running 1.2, rooted with MN 4.6.16. I decided to install the 1.3 B&N update. I used nemith's flashable 1.2 to go back to unrooted stock. Worked fine. I manually installed the 1.3 update. Again, all went well. Then, I tried flashing MN 4.6.16.
At first, all seemed well. I restored my apps with TB. Market and Gmail worked. Then I shut my Nook down and rebooted.
I saw the green Nook symbol on the left side of the status bar. Then I discovered that Gmail and Google Maps would not run. Market still opens. I can see and download apps. But after I download an app, I get the "package file is invalid" message. All my other apps work. I can sideload apps. I sideloaded Gmail 2.3.5 and it works.
To fix Market, do I need to go back to nemith's 1.2 and do it all over again, or is there an easier fix I can try?
Thanks for any suggestions.

[Q] Run down and Market issue

SO I did everything in each step and waited to do the kernel update till I knew it was all working. Here is what happened...
I re-rooted with the CWM 3.2.0.1 and MN 4.5.18 and after I rebooted after that I tried the Market and did not work just closed immediately after opening.
So then went back in and did the MN 4.6.16a rebooted then ran fix permissions and everything worked perfect for 1 day.
The next day I went get an app that I wanted to add to my NC and low and behold closed on me again. So to make sure I checked my gmail and google stuff and they all seemed to work.
So then I rerooted again with just the MN 4.5.18 and this time the market opens fine with the Market Visibility issue.
So I decided to add the updated 1.2 froyo even though I didn't have the 4.6.16 nooter. And works fine.
So I was reading that there may be a fix for the visibility problem so I tried one that was on one of the forums for NC and it said that before reboot the market should say there was an error and to reboot so I rebooted and tried the market again and it just says error now when I try to go into the market.
Do I need to go in and reroot again to get the market back correctly?
Is there another Fix that I can try for the market issue?
Thanks!
Crissy

[Q] Rooted 1.4.1 gives "Unable to download" error in stock nook app

I recently moved from CM7 back to rooted stock using 1.4.1 and manual nooter 5.12.26. I also installed Dalingrin's last froyo kernel and overclocked to 1.3GHz. Generally all is well, but my new issue of entertainment weekly is available and I can't download it using the stock nook app/home. In fact, nothing will download there anymore. The books and magazines that were already downloaded are fine, but I can't get anything new. When I try to do anything that engages the B&N store, it says:
Unable to download
Internal error: Exception executing the command
I've googled a bit and some folks fixed this by updating their credit card info when, for example, an old one had expired. That wasn't the case with me unfortunately.
Any ideas on how to resolve this? I know worst case scenario I can unregister, reinstall, and re-root, but I'm hoping there's a way to fix it without having to do that. For one thing, I don't know why I'm in this state and therefore whether I'll just end up in the same state after reloading.
Thanks in advance!
Update: I went ahead and restored/renootered. In this case I just rebooted into recovery and wiped system and data, then it went back into stock 1.4.1 by itself. I then applied manual nooter, installed Titanium Backup, and restored my apps. There's obviously a little manual tweaking required to get things ship-shape, but both the stock Nook stuff and the standard Android (Market & gapps, Amazon AppStore, GO Launcher EX, side-loaded apps, etc.) work fine now. Hopefully it'll stick!
Not sure if this is exactly the same. Had manual-nootered NC, dalengrin's kernel. Everything was working fine, including Read-in-Store.. Then Nook apps wouldn't install. Endless download/install/download loop. No error messages. Everything else still ok. Google search seemed to imply only fix was to erase/deregister/reregister. Did so, then rerooted/restored from Titanium. Now can't connect to BN shop. Trying to download anything from BN returns:
Unable to download
Internal error: exception executing the command.
Addendum: I had done a backup-all/erase-deregister/re-register/re-root/restore-all process. Repeating this but only restoring specific apps seems to have worked. I suspect the restore-all over-wrote something which killed communication with B&N's store.
