i got it since it looked nice and i kinda like it but somehow other poeple are able to change the apps it shows as shown http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wU2gGI8KVhY
so now my question is why cant i change the apps on my atrix?
Ok so i went and downloaded it. Its alright. Would be better if it had more versatility. Anyways, you swipe you finger over to the right and it will move you the left screen. Then the app drawer cube things comes down. You can then remove an app from the ring by dragging it towards the app drawer. Then there will be a blank cube on the on the ring. You can then drag an app from the app drawer onto the ring. However, unless you are using the default apps, you wont get the cool preview. As in if you are using goSMS instead of default messaging, you wont get the conversation list that pops up on the ring.
thats exactly what i did but still couldnt change them i guess it must be cuz of gingerblur or something are you on stock?

Does anyone know how to put the Bottom drawer to the side on the home screen? Some guysays he "hacked" it but usually when people use the works hack they usually are some loser with a dowloaded app. Or something. I've looked around to find some source code in the firmware that dictates where the drawer is to be but I can't find it (that's where it was on my iphone).. so if anyone has done this or knows how to do this could you let me know?
i've glitched it to the side a few times and it's kinda ugly over there. the whole setup of the homescreen rely's on the app drawer being at the bottom. to move it you would have to change how the icons appear on the screen and you would lose some space
no biggie

I don't really mind having less space for apps on the home screen bc I only keep 2 folders with all the apps I want (I categorize my home screens) id love to know how to do it tho.id really aappreciate it you can email me [email protected] or just reply. Thanks
Hello,
I was wondering is it possible to re organise the application on the x10 so i can put my favourates nearer the top and on the first page?
thanks for your help
You could put your favourites onto one of your home screens. That's what most people seem to do.
go to one of the home screens, slide up the apps panel then hold your finger on the app you want until it vibrates the app panel will close and you can drop the app onto the screen.
Simples!

thanks for the reply.
yeh i did have that set up before but im using timescape as my homescreen now so was hoping id be able to just reorder the entire list of applications so the ones i want are close to hand.
done
its ok i figured it out...if u hold it down for ages it wil let u move each app...
How do I reorder the menu?
I want to move some apps to the top of the application list (NOT the home screen).
I'm pretty sure that you can't.. although No1 Fred might say different?

Wow, thought it would of been one of the first things they would of had aside from changing from list to grid.
I guess that's what the home screens are for though.. although if you use timescape as the home screen then you're a bit knackered!!.. (Does anyone find it useful to use Timescape as the home screen?? I know a few have tried it then reverted back to "normal" home screen..)..
Plus if you install a different app launcher (open home or Helix) then you can have more home screens.. and organise your apps into groups.. (I've got 5 screens with Games on one screen, internet stuff on another.. clock and calendar on the centre, then "System tools", then useful gadgets on the fifth..)
(title says it)
I would love a whole home screen that is the app drawer, swipe and boom theres the apps any new ones updated
anyone seen such a thing?
I think the closest your gonna get is flashing a MIUI rom

Review of 32 different home replacements:

I can give you one to play with if you want. Its a work in progress as far as a full home-replacement app. I am working on making an app drawer, then making everything around that. Like I said, I can make an .apk for you that is a simple grid view that shows all the apps on the device and launches them. There is a random layout animation that plays when the gridView is first called. Just pm me if you would like to try it out
With CM7 I keep throwing the ADW launcher away, it seems that when I unlock the screen I am holding it at an angle that puts the launcher on the "top" of the screen, but I use my thumb slide down the notification bar.....which isn't on top because the way I am holding the phone....and I end up basically dragging the ADW launcher into the trash. Even when I go into the settings and restart the launcher it takes a few minutes.
Any way to stop doing that....other than holding the phone straight or waiting a second for the screen to rotate? I looked in the launcher settings to find anything that would stop me from throwing it away, but can't find anything. So far CM7 RC4 is working flawlessly in every other department....I just can't seem to stop throwing the launcher in the trash.
When you mean "launcher" do you mean the app drawer? If so then you can lock it so no changes will be made. Just hit menu and Lock Desktop. If its not there check under more.
I actually find adw launcher to be incredibly annoying. Can't stand having default weird gestures that make things vanish or explode. On top of it, it really doesn't do anything useful over the stock launcher, and has a really "amateurish" look to it. I say just delete adwlauncher and replace it with stock. Works way better.

I'm on c7 nightly rom which comes with adw launcher installed by default. Where can I find the 'stock' launcher to either flash through recovery or install?

I don't mind it as much, I just got sick of constantly throwing it in the garbage. It seems that the problem is that the accelerometer is sluggish with CM7, and it takes a second for the screen to flip vertical as I am unlocking the screen while taking it out of my pocket. That and the fact that the drawer goes to the "top" of the screen in landscape mode instead of being at the bottom like the stock ones does.....plus the garbage can is on the top of the screen not the bottom like stock. With the stock ROM I am used to unlocking the screen while picking up the phone and quickly using my thumb to drop down the notification bar to read a new text. When I do it that fast with CM7, combined with all the above "issues", I end up dragging the drawer into the trash can. Rather annoying. For now I just removed the garbage can and use long hold to delete things on the screen. But I am thinking of loading the stock drawer.
Right now I am in the process of finding a radio that doesn't lose all signal randomly and doesn't kill my battery. So after this trial and error with radios, I might switch back to the OE drawer.

There are ones on the market but this one is the lightest I've found.
Why don't you just lock the desktop, as previously suggested in Post #2? One of the reasons I like ADW, is becuase its the only launcher I've tried so far that has the feature to lock the desktop.
Another workaround, I personally don't like the homescreen/lanucher auto-rotating with the G-Sensor, so in the ADW settings, I have it locked to Portrait. On this setting, the homescreen only goes to landscape when you open the keyboard.
With the original tw launcher whenever you're using an app or game *for example Angry Birds* and you receive a call it shows up on the ticker. But when I use another Launcher *for example Go Launcher* and I play Angry Birds and I receive a call not only does it not show up in the ticker but it stops the game and the screen changes and shows me who's calling. is there a way to make the calls be show on the ticker while on Go launcher and using an app?

I've been looking at that, off and on,
For the last three months, with no headway. Trailblazer looked, and says its hard baked into tw. If it can be ported to go, I haven't figured it out, yet.

Hmm.. Well whenever you have two themes installed *For example Launcher 7 and TwLauncher and you haven't yet decided which to choose as default* the apps show the call in the ticker. But then let's just say I decide to use Launcher 7 as my default, then it stops working and the screen changes to the call. That confuses me.
I've posted on this topic before somewhere on this forum, but don't remember where.
The Touchwiz launcher has to be running for incoming calls to come to the ticker. I, too, find this feature indispensable on our phones.
I use LauncherPro. I have created an invisible shortcut to an "activity" that launchers Touchwiz launcher after I've rebooted my phone. Touchwiz comes up, I hit my home button and LauncherPro comes right back up. I never see Touchwiz again, but the service necessary to send incoming calls to the Ticker continues to run until I restart my phone again.
I tried GoLauncher but went back to LauncherPro. I can't remember why I did, but it might have been because I was unable to make a shortcut to launch Touchwiz. I don't remember.
So, I just have to remember to launch the shortcut anytime I've restarted my phone, and I'm good.
Touchwiz doesn't show up in the normal app list, so I needed the more granular set of options that "Activities" in LauncherPro provided.

I recall that work around. For me, it made the phone sluggish. But, that was also on a 07, which was a leak. Maybe it would work better with 09. I might give that a try again, and see what happens. I'd still like to come up with something that is more native, if I can eventually figure it out. But, for now, that is probably the best we have.

Yeah, I have no doubt that the majority of my complaints about Trailblazer101's mods making my homescreen respawn all the time were related to running two launchers simultaneously....although I'm fairly sure I tried NOT loading up TW and I still had incessant homescreen respawns.
It was your suggestion, that finally solved all of my life's problems. Using Rom Toolbox to cut out all kind of unnecessary crap running virtually eliminated my respawn issue altogether.
I think my phone runs excellently now...even with TW running in the background.
But don't let that deter you. I'd LOVE to find a way to launch minimal software for the ticker-incoming call feature as opposed to running TW fully.
