cwm7? Never heard that before.
If you know how to boot to ad recovery, that is, by pressing red/power button while phone is booting then choose Ad Recovery. Then choose wipe data and cache partition. This will restore back everything just like the first time you boot after installing the rom.
Again, wiping data and cache partition will delete all downloaded apps and user and syatem settinga. Be sure to make a backup.

Better do a task29 then install radioand reinstall magldr or clk then install cwm then install rom. In short, start from scratch since you are selling it.

If I was to clear the cache, then turn the phone off, wohld it just reboot like it was first flash. I have already sold it and I am trying to explain to the guy how to fix it so the easier ther better, cause he is more of a newb than I am

Hi sorry if this has been answered already but i had thought this might help peeps having problems with boot looping i had this problem with wildpuzzle V8.0.8 the solution i used is
1) Remove all data from memory card (backup delete whatever u want)
2) Go to wwwdotsdcarddotorg/consumers/formatter/eula/
3) Download and unzip
4) Run program check all boxes (CAUTION WILL WIPE ALL DATA)
5) Reflash rom
This should solve problems with SD rebooting and bootloops it did mine
Hope this helps
tried this as a last resort... but alas - didn't work at all... ;p still either stuck on splash screen or loops it. this is getting frustrating...

I want to do this as more of a starting new kind of thing. I know you can clear the sd cards and factory reset, but does that truly erase everything? And i understand theres also some options to clear delvik cache and others in CWM. Are these caches erased w/ factory reset? thx brah
Odin maybe?

yeah ive used odin a bunch to flash eugenes roms and stock rom if i get a soft brick. But weird thing is it doesnt wipe my internal sd. BTW this ISNT like a serious issue and i NEED to erase everything...but ive flashed so many roms over each other i thought it would be good to give my phone a breath of fresh air. haha
okay so just about an hour ago i was trying to install the 2825 radio. i flashed it onto the phone in recovery mode and now my phone wont go past the boot screen. (tmobile g1) i can still get to recovery and fastboot and all of that but even when i tried to restore it, it still wont go past the boot screen!!!!! what did i do wrong, and is there any hope for me?? please help!

Hopefully you will not accomplish your objective. "Everything" includes the Primary Boot Loader, in which case your phone will be permanently bricked, for all intents and purposes.
You will not be able to access the phone by any means other than an expensive tester after you delete USB drivers from the phone.
To erase everything...you need to go settings.phone & sdcard.umount...under phone storage.format....it will mount back on its own

you'll lose everything on the rom including apps that the dev added. only thing you wont lose is stock apps, but no it shouldnt matter what rom your running.

Hi,
ROM MANAGER only works with clk.
If you used it with magldr it is probably messed up.
You need to re-install magldr to get back to normal.

Just install a MAGLDR Rom and you will be fine... no need to do anything else.
ROMs in ROM manager are only compatible with cLK for now. The reason you got error when booting is because MAGLDR Roms use different /boot partition file system than cLK.
If you need do a backup from CWM and after flashing the new ROM go advance restore and select only data.img
I am trying to say your data weren't lost and you will not loose them after flashing new rom

That sucks! But on a good note, when you do re-install your rom and boot for the first time, sign in after touching that little green friend and google will re-install all your apps (without data thou) as long as you had auto sync on, that is,,,,

I don't USE MAGLDR and i don't know if this will work but you can try to delete all lines from CWM flash.cfg except the one where is recovery-raw.img and try flashing CWM from pc.
possible with a fix, or I have to reinstall/reformat everything?

Did you manage to solve this issue, or you did a clean format/install?
I am also facing the same issue "invalid boot image header". Everything works fine beside ROM-backup(AD Recovery). Thanking you in advance.

First of all there are two versions. clk magldr. Make sure you're using the right one. Also make sure you have a recovery of at least 150 you can make bigger but not to exceed 200 I think. also do a factory reset, wipe cache and dalvik cache and them install rom. its not mandatory to have an external partition for this rom to work. You can also go to post #2 of the thread for more exact details

already tried doing all that step by step just how they asked me to install it but it installed like i said but once it loads and enters the main page there are errors after errors after errors its like the rom is corrupt or something. so tell me what else i can do?
Try to download the file again and reinstall or try to task 29 which wipes everything off your phone but not the sd card. Then install a fresh copy of magldr and repartition your phone again and try to install again. This is for installing the magldr version. I'm not experienced with clk. I just finished installing with no problem on magldr

HyperDroid 3.0 is only for cLK, it doesnt support MAGLDR (yet).
@OP : If you're trying to install it on MAGLDR I doubt it will work, even if it booted sure you will get force closes and whatnot.
Check the thread they just posted the magldr version. I'm running it right now that's why i'm asking to make sure you got the right version

Oh yes under the section of the phone partition make sure you select the cache size of 5. It sets both of then at the same time

Okay, so I was listening to a YouTube video via Popup Browser BETA. When the song finished, I tried closing the window, but it wouldn't let me interact with the window. Not sure why. I just figured since the app was in beta it was just confused, so I went to the settings->running applications->I force closed the app. But for some reason, the little window still wouldn't go away. So I decided to reboot my device. Bad idea, apparently...
Now whenever I boot up my phone it'll vibrate, display the Google logo for a few seconds, and then... it goes to a blank black screen. Not a clue why. I've tried:
- Leaving it to charge and rebooting
- Leaving it in the blank black screen
- Booting into recovery, then trying to reboot the device from there
- Clearing cache partition
Nothing works. I still can't boot up my phone again.
I'm running Slimbean 4.2.1 (not the latest version). There really isn't anything that might have triggered this. I can still charge my phone (the charging animation still occurs) and I can still go into CWM Recovery. I'd really rather not have to install a new ROM or anything... but if I have to, is there a way to extract the data I have on my phone now while in recovery or something?
Any suggestions?
EDIT: This has been FIXED. Moderators, if you see this, you can close this thread. If anyone else has this problem, try reflashing your current version of your ROM, that's how I fixed mine. I'm not responsible for damage to your device.
Why haven't you tried reflashing your rom without wiping data?

No way of corrupting your data, as long as you don't select to wipe data partition or data is already corrupted. But this is strange that your phone gone crazy like this. Try to reflash your rom without wiping data and see if your phone will boot up

I've not got enough free space on my phone I don't think (it's only 16GB, I got about 2GB free).
Unless I'm mistaken the backup will take more than that, yes? Considering I've got a few games apps that probably equate to about 4GB.

Reflash the same version you were running before this accident, as the newest version requires clean flash. If you want to run the latest version and have your data back, reflash the same version you were running before, then backup your data, wipe phone, flash the latest version and restore your data

WOO! Thanks a lot! Booted up perfectly, and no loss of data or anything like that. Only odd things is it seems to have changed my DPI... but I can change that easily so it's not really a bother. It also made me have to update the Virus Definitions on Avast!, not sure why either.
I shall now proceed to thank all of your posts.

Yes either that or perhaps switch to a new one, I've been with semi-stock Android for quite a while now I'm really liking the port of MIUI V5...
