Hi people!
Well, i have this new cellphone from a couple of days ago.
The problem is the poor battery life. I mean, For example, i put the cellphone to charge all the night. This morning I unpluged it from the power source, and it was 100% Charged. About 4 hour later, the battery was at 50%
I dont have a lot of services running on background. Basically only Tweeter, WhatsAPP and Gmail.
Is there any tweak, configuration, APP or something to enhance my battery life?
Thanks!
Try the Argen2stone, it improves the duration of the battery

there are actually several threads regarding the milestone 2 battery; namely tips on how you can improve your battery life and secondary batteries or after market 'bigger' batteries. the links are below:
1. Milestone 2 Battery Issues
2. Secondary Battery
3. Battery Question
4. How To Get Current Battery Level
Click on each title and it would direct you to the appropriate link.
this should definitely help you troubleshoot and solve your battery problem.
also as a future reminder, kindly search through the forums if you are in doubt. there are many threads and many useful resources here. if you cant find your answer, look in the Questions & Troubleshooting thread. if you still cant find your answer, post your question/doubt/issue there. you should get an answer. if u still dont get a satisfactory answer, then you may start a thread.
thanks for your understanding and cooperation

I found the link for this guide on gizmodo. I actually get the same amount of battery life on my HD2 with shubcraft as i get on my Nexus One so i have no complaints about battery use (im a "power user" so i dont expect great battery life anyways. I Avg about 6hrs on every smartphone i had.) but i see alot of threads about battery use so check out this guide.

Thanks, but I found nothing new about that... Everything described there is familiar to anybody who uses Android on HD2
All the same, still very good to have all of these things grouped into one thread.
This will be particularly usefull for people that won't be very used to running android, so thank you for the link all the same
Once again another pointless thread

Yeah its stuff any android user already knows and these tips are scattered all over this forum. All the battery issue threads need to be merged and stickied.

At the very least, take a look at the thread DIRECTLY below yours before posting (well, it was before I posted on here at least)
Watch this video and read this guide.
EDIT: Yeah that was quite harsh - I'm currently using PACman, it's quite good, but the best way is to try out ROMs yourself.

Exactly what I meant lol. I tend to do it if I've read far too many awful posts recently :L @OP if you see this I'm genuinely sorry about that ^ I'll try and be kinder in the future
i'm using PACMAN JB 4.1.2 and really pleased with it.
I think the way to get the most from your battery is primarily turn that screen brightness down!
Then be conservative with CPU settings.
Finally only turn on WIFI when you need to use it.
I get 2 days out of my HD2 like this.

Thanx mate will try it out
The concept best rom is subjective. The battery life depends on the main use you give to your device: games, social, calls, gps, etc. What is best for myself may be not so good for you. So far every rom is good, because has been developed/ported free for each of us to enjoy. So please use search function and find by yourself what rom is the best for you, according to your preferences. BTW please click on my sign Best regards
Hello
As we all somewhat expect better battery backup from our device.
I hope we can share battery stats here and maybe, how do we save battery on our device (some specific app or tweak or anything related to the topic)
I hope this thread wont be flaming thread. I request people to not go OT here
P.S. Mods can close this thread if i am going somewhere wrong.
Rooted + debloated. Nothing specially tweaked. Zipaligned all apks.
A good battery backup for me. I could get 1 more hour SOT with that 33% i guess.
At least search before posting
same thread is already present.

Wait, let me prepare my crystal ball...
While you wait, do some searching in the rom thread, in this section where you posted and Google.
There are numerous posts about the same issue.
As above and try a new battery.
Takes at least a week for battery to calibrate itself.

Thanks for the sarcasm. .I did do a lot of research before posting but I thought you guys would know better....
Yeah, i bet you did a massive research.
So what were you expecting when you opened this rather useless thread ? That we are gonna tell you to install this and that app and your drain will be gone ? Is that what you wanted ? It's not like it's phone model dependant. But there are apps to monitor what's causing drain.
You are not the first one with this issue, the phone is 3.5 years old, there's plenty of info.

If I have offended you in anyway I apologise , but we noobs have got to start somewhere
You didn't offend me. But I can't belive, that if you search in the rom thread, there is no info that could get you started to look for the culprit.
There are too many things to be considered. We can't just tell you what it is. Let the rom settle for a few days.
