Hey
I just flashed first with clockword 3.0.0.5 to Swift and then 3.0.2.8
When i flash i get this on CMD
Microsoft Windows [Version 6.0.6002]

C:\android-sdk-windows\adb+fastboot>fastboot.exe flash recovery C:/Recovery.img

Now when i Press Home+Power it wont give me the recovery just normal boot.
BTW: My fastboot is via volume up + Search button + Power is this okay?
fastboot on the GT540 is CAMERA+POWER BUTTON
are you sure you are in Fastboot mode when you send the comand through adb??
later, in fastboot, when it starts rebooting, as soon as you see the screen turning on, press and hold HOME+POWER

Well Fastboot aint via Cam+ Power at me. It is Volume up + search button + Power it says Cleary FASTBOOT MODE on screen. Yes i am on fastboot mode on it.
Thats exactly what i did but still
as far as I know, fastboot mode is just a light black screen
what rom are you using??
Well at me it says Fastboot mode
and i am using: http://www.mediafire.com/?y7q20212djy40ap
2.1 Fastboot europe
That's the Europe rom from the FAQ, right?
If that's correct, I can confirm that (at least in mine) the fastboot screen is just a dark empty one
The only mode that I've seen with a description message (beside moded ones like Clockwork) is the Download Mode, wich I think is Volume Down + Power
Maybe yours has Recovery in a different keys combination, just like it does fastboot
What do you want to boot into recovery for??

Try this: Pull out the battery and go back into fastboot. Type:

fastboot flash recovery recovery_clockwork_4.0.1.4_swift.img
If that doesn't work, try reinstalling your fastboot drivers (In Device Manager)
thanks, work it

I had the same thing yesterday happen but before freaking out I left my phone connected to my pc in recovery with the error on the screen and used ADB to flash a new recovery right over the old one and it worked try that. Boot phone into recovery (if you still can after everything you have done) with your phone connected to your PC, open up ADB and flash the recovery file that way.
i can't boot recovery now... when USB connected and when i try to boot recovery i see only first bootscreen (Orange MTN logo)
and in left upper side of screen "FASTBOOT USB"
and that's all....... =(
coz now i don't have any recovery... only HBOOT...

Anti I am not trying to be mean but thats cause you freaked out when you saw something you never have before instead of taking a breath and asking first.
If you can hold down the back button and power on your phone and get into the fastboot menu you should still be good. you can flash the recovery image from fastboot. Follow the instructions on amons page to do it.

I dont really use fastboot much, so I cant help you there but you should be able to flash the recovery. try a different recovery, try Cyanogens recovery file. All I do know is it has to be in the tools folder.

Not that I know of. I could be mistaken but that all has to be done through recovery. But maybe somebody else will chime in on the conversation. If fastboot isnt fixing recovery then, I am sorry to say it but you might just be SOL and you might want to see if your phone is under warranty still. haha
So in CMD on windows you are typing this in:
Copy recovery-RA-dream-v1.7.0.img to a location where fastboot can find it.
Boot your G1 into fastboot mode (boot while holding BACK)
Connect your G1 via usb to your pc/mac/...
fastboot devices (to make sure that fastboot "sees" your device)
fastboot flash recovery recovery-RA-dream-v1.7.0.img
and its not working? And you placed the recovery img in the tools folder where your sdk is right.
i don't understand what is it:
Boot your G1 into fastboot mode (boot while holding BACK)
I boot into fastbook like this:
Camera+Power, then press SEND
and i got FASTBOOT USB
it is not right?
and all other steps is right!
fastboot devices :
HT94XNG01269
than :
fastboot flash recovery recovery-RA-dream-v1.7.0.img
got:

I am just going to ask a simple question is your G1 Rooted? with your phone off hold the back button which is the button at the bottom with the arrow then hit the power button you should get a white screen with a little android at the top.
my G1 is rooted... and have NoneDanger SPL. I can't find information about it (HBOOT 1.42.0000, DREA20000)
when i press BACK+POWER i got first boot logo screen and thats all... orange color background and the MTN logo in i square in the middle of the screen.
I got 3 android skaters when press camera+power... only like this...
maybe i can use this:
fastboot flash system rom.zip

as i remember here http://developer.htc.com/adp.html

Maybe i'll try this? how u think?

See I am running Danger just like most people, thats the difference in the fastboot access. the 3 android skaters is the proper screen. So you are in the right spot. You should have also menu options like hit menu to reboot etc...I cant remember the others. But still its right. So if you are doing the fastboot commands as posted and it still gives you an error then it was something to do with when you did all those remove commands.
I think you pretty much have a nice heavy paperweight sorry bro. Only thing I think of is keep trying the fastboot command or maybe see if there is a way to flash stuff through fastboot. I dont think there is but you can look and see. Good luck, let me know how it turns out. If I was you I would just go get a slide or the new Galaxy S

Hi all,
My Nexus 10 seems to be hard bricked.
Here the symptoms:
- Can sometimes be put in bootloader mode
- In bootloader mode, no way to put into recovery mode (the buttons vol up/down do not change the mode = it stays onlw in "Start")
- In bootloader mode, fastboot does not show the device (and of course no way to flash)
- Of course, no OS installed and no way to boot properly
The device seems to be recognized as "Samsung Gadget Serial"..
Any help is welcome !
Thanks
OK FORGET ABOUT IT
I found how to put in recovery mode : press power and BOTH volume UP and DOWN at the same time.

Hi Guys,

I'll start from the beginning. downloaded image of kitkat from developers.google.com. and abd tools. Typed the fastboot oem unlock in the cmd line and wiped the cache and date/factory reset.
following this I then restarted the tablet and ran flash-all.bat.
On doing this the following was stated in the cmd line:

Hello guys!
I recently wanted to upgrade to Nougat but now my P9 Lite seems softbricked. I own the version VNS-L21 but installed the oeminfo from an dual-sim VNS-L31, this worked for me under MM.
But now I can't boot into system or recovery. The only thing I can do is boot into fastboot. From there I can only flash boot.img or recovery(2).img. I'm unable to flash system.img, fastboot says the following:
Code:
\path\to\rom>fastboot flash system system.img
target reported max download size of 471859200 bytes
sending sparse 'system' 1/6 (430553 KB)...
OKAY [ 11.231s]
writing 'system' 1/6...
FAILED (remote: sparse flash write failure)
finished. total time: 11.255s
I've tried both VNS-L31(tried B100) and VNS-L21 (tried B151) and B336 system.img files, all fail with the same message. When I flash a recovery.img file and try to boot into it my phone just stucks at the "Your device is unlocked and can't be trusted..." screen.
What can I do? Can someone help me to get at least the recovery working again? I've already tried meticulu's TWRP (V1 and V2) and BadWolfYe's Revolution (b. 9).
Regards,
- 4240Benny

Hi. i have a bit the same problem here. I tried to instal emui 5 like you but i forgot to install the both zips.Well try like this.Pres volume up+power button and hold it. you will get that message like in the photo "Your device is booting now..",when you get this message keep holding the bottons until you get in erecovery, but hold and wait..From there you will have 3 options:1)Connect to wi-fi and recover.2)Reboot and 3)shotdown(or something like that). You will press on the 2,Reboot.Now your device will rebot and you will get a message like this:"For erecovery pres vol up for 3 seconds" and "To continue press power boton for 5 seconds" You will press power or you will wait couple of seconds and then the phone will start booting.
Try to do what helped me. 1-flash twrp for nougat (it should work) 2-copy MM APP file to dload folder 3-flash l21 oeminfo via adb sideload 4-reboot to bootloader and flash boot, system and recovery from b329 app file 5-power on phone holding vol+and vol- buttons
Today i tried to flash RR on my Axon 2017G.
So i wiped the partitions mentioned in the instructions, and i tried to change the filesystem. Suddenly got a shutdown, and after that the TWRP starts until the strartscreen. Not more...
I can connect with adb, can see "recovery", but no reaction on "reboot to edl".
The other way i can boot with all three buttons, and then i reach a menu with bold red "recovery mode", that i can change to "Start" (green), "Start bootloader" (in red, and choosing that leads me back to even this menu), and "Power off" (white).
Below that is "Fastboot mode" (little text, red).
But using fastboot mode only says "waiting for device"...
So: Is there a way to get into edl mode to flash recovery again?
Or can i use it as a doorblocker?

The 'bold red recovery mode text' mode that you described is Bootloader mode (or fastboot mode). It's really weird that you have it. Did you have Android 6 before messing up?
You can try to put a TWRP 3.1.1-0 img on the folder where you have fastboot, then get to that 'Fastboot mode' that made your phone say 'waiting for device'then fire up CMD and write 'fastboot boot TWRP' and hit Tab, if the name appears right hit Enter and it shouls boot a TWRP image on your phone (NOT the one you have installed)

My main rooted v20 phone got bumped and now is stuck in a bootloop. I can enter fastboot (some commands working) but can't access TWRP recovery using either VOL + UP and USB cable or VOL DOWN + POWER. I believe the phone is on 10j or 10k if I remember correctly. Bootloader and carrier are unlocked.
Is there a way to just reflash TWRP safely and attempt data recovery and ROM installation without factory reset?
My goal is to attempt recovery first. If that is not an option, I would like to flash to 10p so I can start the rooting process using Lafsploit.

That's so odd I have never seen this issue before.
You can try flashing the twrp image to the boot partition.
fastboot flash boot twrp.img
fastboot reboot
Should boot rite into twrp then because the twrp image is on the boot partition. Sounds to be like there may be a hardware problem with this phone.
