Hello everybody,
I'm experiencing wifi problems on my HTC hd2 using SD-android builds. I've tried americandroid, coredroid and rafdroid so far and the problem stays the same:
I'm able to see my home network (WEP-switch), enter password and get a "connection established", but there is no way to get any data input, so the browser doesn't work, no apps working etc.
I'm using the latest radio 2.15.50.14 and I'm not experiencing any other problems. telephone, sms, hsdpa, edge is all working in all builds. Battery drain is good as well.
I've tried reinstalling every of the named builds and i tried to find out about the MAC adress, but that should be ok. btw, wifi working fine in the latest myEnergy rom, wm 6.5.

It's 2 routers, one D-link Dir 100 managing my multiple pcs. the wlan router d-link 802.11g is connected to the lan one as a switch. this works pefectly fine on 3 laptops(mine and friends etc...) and for my hd2 running myenergy.
I indeed did a hardreset in the progress, running task29 and reflashing MyEnergy, then reinstalling the sd builds. i did not reflash the radio.

Hi,
Ive checked the forums but i cannot seem to find a thread that answers my question. Maybe this has not been asked or people have incorrectly titled their threads.
Ive just updated to the latest radio (no issues).
Changed my ROM to Chuckys GTX lite (no issues). Also used DUTTY Creme V4
I have then booted Google's android, using Darkstones 7/8/10 build of Froyo.
It boots into Android fine but upon start up i always get the message:
'sim card changed' then 'sorry! The application settings (process com.android.settings) has stopped unexpectedley. please try again'
which i then click force close
Im also having trouble finding the correct software to use USB mode to transfer my files to the phone in Android - I think i now have to use HTC Sync but HTC's site asks for a serial,.... which obviously i cannot download. I just seem to default to 'USB Debugging' which does nothing for me.
An help would be appreciated

Currently using ChuckyDroidROM and the FroyoStone 07.08.2010 build, installed "Automount" from the Android Market, disabled "USB Debugging" and set Automount to enabled, and it works perfectly fine now, Windows XP, Windows 7 and Ubuntu 10.04 all see the microSD card and can access it perfectly

now I can access my SD card, but when I paste something and then disconnect the USB cable, nothing appears in File Explorer... For example: I tried to make new folder "music"and to put there some music files. I did that, but then I couldn't find the folder... Any suggestions?

Be careful about transferring files to your sdcard via android...
there's a reason DarkStone probably disabled it...
I was on older builds that supported this and ended up messing up the filesystem of the card... nothing a "repair without formatting" can't handle, but still takes some time to figure out...
Im running HSPL3, ChuckyROM GTX Lite, JMZ DualBoot and Android 2,1 i believe... The Desire one w. sense...
Everything works perfectly, but theres no connection trough the USB only charging.
Tried to turn op USB debugging and install Automount (No luck)
Alså tried to change the connect to pc setting fra just chargin to all of the other options... Still no luck
Anyone have any ideas?
I'm having same issue as OP.
Went from Desire v5 to Froyo darkstone (7/8), and no data connection, and same error "Sorry! The application Settings (process com.android .settings) has stopped ..etc when I try to accept the "Sim card changed " notification.
When I try to play with APN settings, it just constanlty says : Connection failed due to incorrect APN settings on Mobile Network screen.
There was a warning with this build about limited or no data, but didnt think it would not work at all, I had a cracking down rate with Desire V5, but would like to carry on running this Froyo build.
Any help?

Lol, I deleted the apn settings before the backup step. Lost my o2 internet now. Anyone had the issue of the mobile phone signal icon dropping every min it so. It will show full or half etc signal then the next min will show no signal bars then after another min or so full or half etc again. I can still make calls when the phone shows no signal though. This is with chucky gtx lite and darkstone latest froyo build. Same was with duty Rom also.
Another issue I've found is the screen going sort of black and white inverted and really bright. Anyone else got this if just me, I have to reboot the phone to fix. It's only happened twice though in a week.

I'm having problem with android build [SD]MCCM HD V4.0 for my HD2. With all due respect the android build is good and data connection was working BUT the wifi just won't connect to my home router. It keeps scanning and found my home router.i input my router password and press connect but it stills show scanning. Tried forgetting the password and reconnect but it still wont connect.
This is actually the 2nd android build i tried installing. Previous android build i installed was having the same problem with wifi.
I already check the MAC address setting and it isnt all zero .... so i think the mac address is fine.
I'm using stock ROM version 1.48.479.1 (71294) WWE and Radio 2.15.50.14.
Should i consider flashing new ROM or mess around with my router settings? Is there any other solution.
Hi , i am new here and i just got my HD2 and it had WM 6.5 and i replaced it with Android nand 2.3.5 but after i finished installing Android on the Device i found that there is no market included so i downloaded a new rom and tried to flash it after deleting the old one using task29 and followed all the steps to install but after the reboot of installation i found that same old rom still exists so i tried for another 3 times as a clean install but it didn't work again and still no market on the device so what is the best android rom for HTC HD2 ?

i finally fixed the problem but i have another one , my internet wireless connection requires an login id and password not from the router but when i open the browser every time i open my pc and try to connect but when i try to connect from my HD2 and open the browser the login page dosent come up it shows me that i am not connected to any service like Wi-Fi - Edge - 3G and i need it so hard to download and use applications on my HD2
Okay make sure it says connected when you are in settings / wifi.
If so you should try to open any website like google.com. It will try to connect to Google but will get to your login page.

my rom is very good and i am not having any problems with it all i need is some help for how to connect to my hotspot Wifi connection and not get that ( web page not available) screen
have u tried wifi protected setup and also,does your bluetooth work?
my bluetooth is working and i dont have a protected wifi its hotspot belongs to my neighbour and he knows that i am connected with him but i cant connect from my mobile and if u think that its the rom is not good tell me which rom to install and give me a link for it

actually i am looking for a NAND rom cuz my SD card is just 2gb
Im running RAFDROID HD 4.2 , and my 3g works fine but when I go to turn on wifi it says error and wont look for connections. Any ideas ?
Can you try and reflash the ROM? I'm running it also and the wifi is working great.
I am use rafdroids builds for more then 6 month, SD and NAND builds, without any problems with wifi.
Check your wifi router settings. In the most of the androidbuilds the MAC adress is changed and is not the same as like on winmo.

so i was wondering do you need hslp (not spl) to run wifi on ics (sd version not nand) because i dont have hspl and wifi works for my gingerbread currently but if i want to change to different sd roms wifi never works

HSPL has nothing to do with SD builds.
It doesn't affect the way your ROM behaves and you don't need it whatsoever. [As long as you're not using NAND]
so do you have any idea why my wifi doesnt work ??
It is probably kernel related, have you (tried to) change it recently?
do you mean acutal roms, them yes i have tried about 5 and non of them work ( i mean wifi )
it would help massively if you explained in what way your wifi doesnt work. i.e does it turn on but not connect? does it appear to connect but no network? It would also help if you described your network a little, i.e wep? wpa? mac filtered? home router? works router? You've confirmed it works under other android sd roms, right? just ICS?

my wifi network shows up on the wifi settings and if I enter my password it just says = secure with with WPA/WPA2 PSK but it dows not connect. I have wpa2psk network at my rom is MDJ_GingerBread_HD2_v.1.0_RC5_RAM_STOCK( which wifi works). I want to set up IceCreamTostidroid v11.0 normal. Is it the roms fault or mine???

If you are booting through haret try this,in wm6.5 turn on airplane mode,now boot back to android,try wifi now
