[Q] Help!!! - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

I have cyanogen mod 7 android installed on my HTC HD2, I have set CPU to 800mhz and when I play games after a while it just closes the app. Say I am playing Raging Thunder 2 online it just turns off half way in a race.
Got 250 or more memory available and its becoming very annoying, wondering if anyone can help please.
PS. is 40C (degrees celsius) ok when playing games on android of the phone

[Q] Any gameloft games working on the htc hero.

ive tried loads of gameloft games on my hero some work and lag and some just gives a black screen than force closes . Ive heard of some guys who have ported some gameloft games to hvga devices but none of them seem to work on the hero.

No. It's processor and screen are too low to run it. There's probably not enough RAM either.

Bad snapdragon 800? or just software slowing it down?

noticed that i only have 1gb free of ram when i restart too, but back to the topic. When playing games like Asphalt 8, eternity warriors 2, or even watching youtube, the phone tends to stutter, but the "lag" is happening on rhythm. EX: when loading frames, goes from 1-2-3-4-1-2-3-4-1-2-3-4, but on every "4", it lags/stutters. it also happens when iim watching youtube videos. i tried the 3dmark benchmark, and it seemed to run completely fine. anyone else having this issue? or are there going to be performance updates with 4.3? its really getting obnoxious not being able to play my favorite games. The odd thing, is that it plays smoothly on pre-downloaded movies(mxplayer) and not-as-3d-heavy games. I thought the snapdragon 800 would be able to handle some of the higher end games? my atrix 4g runs riptide better than my G2......HELP! and thanks in advance.

I experienced the same thing, but like you said only in some games. I played a game that has a frames-per-second display, and for the most part it runs at 60 while older phones could only manage 40. But it does dip down to 40 then right back to 60 regularly as you said. It has to be a software or thermal throttling issue. But I have hope, this is one of the first devices to have the Snapdragon 800, and I bet they are working on it. I would welcome a 4.3 update that solves the performance issue too!

I've been using LG G2 D802 international for a month and it is very fast device, no complains except one day I installed flappy birds and It didnt run well, it skipped many frames, but subway surf runs very smooth and also device in normal use is fast as hell .So I did a little test here is my experience: Those games lagged: Flappy bird, jetpack joyride, fruit ninja. Games who ran very good: Need For Speed most wanted, Modern combat 4, subway surf, GTA vice city. How is possible those heavy games runs smoothly but those small games like fruit ninja and flappy bird, lags , I think those games do not support snapdragon 800, I want to ask you about your experience , thank you.
I noticed same problem... I just installed flappy bird and its lagging.
But, I need to say that my whole phone is laggy a little...
When im in viber message and press back it needs 2 sec to return into viber inbox... That is realy slow for top smartphone...

Every now and then mine is but i do a cache clean and a restart all is fixed this beast eats ram like crazy but im sto k rooted completely debloated and i overclock when i playgames i got fpse ps1 emulator and most of the oldskool. Classics run better on this animal than any other except my note 3

i dnt knw abt flappy bird but fruit ninja does lag only in the staring point not always...i hav the same problem in my note 2 and a chinese tablet...
I think that problem is because flappy is in 2D and G2 wont run his power on that game...

Upon a few more min of research quite a few people are saying that a few games such as flappy birds aint quite compatible with the snpdrgn proccesser. Other games are compltey. Commpat and run great dont hold me to it but that might be worth more of a look in that direction
After some research i found that the lag is due to lg hotplug idk why but after installing dorimanx kernel and changing hotplug removes lag. Something wrong with lg hotplug

[Q] gaming problem

hello everyone ,,,
i've bought the lenovo a3000h tablet recently,, and it works great but i'am facing a little problem with hd games
like real racing 3 or gt racing 2 ,, simply it's just heavy especially when there is competitors with you in the race it gets so baaaaad
but on the other hand modern compat 4 works great and many other games
note:: there's about 550mb of free ram and i close any other application before starting a game
so can any body help me ??!!!
a3000 tab is using SGX544MP2 so the default setting that would be detected by the game is high setting, but in other hand, the processors itself only able to run low to medium quality graphic because its quiet low speed 1,2 even quad-core basis, so its make some of games quiet laggy.
In your case, downloar RR3 setting on the play store, and change the game setting at low to medium 2 its up to you, i guarantee youre gonna get 20-30+ fps
in other games if you meet semiliar problem, you can use gltool / chainfire, but i recommend gltool its safter, and check the glshader optimization for better performance, and use fake gpu, downgrade the gpu to tegra 2 or SGX540 its working for most game

So have you managed to max out your G3

I have been playing allot of games on my G3 and maxing the graphics settings to the max. I have had no frame rate issues on ultra setting with the most demanding games on the play store. Just for info, I play Dead Trigger 2, Riptide GP 2, Shadowgun, and other high end 3D games. I also play psp games upscaled to native resolution and most games play at full speed. Even God Of War. That is awesome.
I have yet to see the snapdragon 801 get bottlenecked by the 2k display playing even the highest level 3D games. Also the soc rarely throttles and I notice that the cpu cores do not all get utilized which tells me the 801 is more than adequate.
How about you guys? You can talk about anything. The thread is not centered around gaming. Thats just the most demanding thing I do on my phone. ?

I've noticed heavy throttling when I play games while the device is charging, which is understandable because the battery get quite hot while it charges.

Yeah when i play demanding games like dead trigger, after 10 minutes the cpu throttles to 1.5ghz max. That is only while charging. But no lag happens still. Besides it has to with 2 amps of current flowing in.
Can you tell me your settings for your psp emulator, which emulator and which version of the emulator you're using? I'm trying to play GOW GOS but its either dark or lag.
My phone throttle while web browsing sites as xda ... No other apps running.
GTA San Andreas chokes it a bit... but I haven't seen a phone able to run this maxed out, it's terribly optimised.
