What do you guys think keep it or go back to stock

Did you cut out the HTC and G2 logos? show a pic with it on the phone!

What'd you do polish it? I'm also thinking of doing something so the wife and I can tell them apart. Has anyone tried to remove the bezel? If it comes off they could possibly be anodized as a set

I used a black crayon rubbed it in and wiped off the extra with a microfiber cloth

looks good. i was thinking of modding the batt cover as well. That metal is just asking for some laser etching.

Yeah, I've been wanting to mod mine for a while. I'd love to make it some kind of color. Replacement battery doors are already on eBay, so I'm gonna guess that it won't be long before we see colors, etchings, patterns, etc. popping up all over the place.
Pocket-Lint had a picture during the Desire Z launch event that showed the device reflecting the blue lighting from the room. Sadly, it's the same silver back, just reflecting blue light...but damn, if that doesn't look good in blue!

I vote for google io limited edition

I actually legitimately prefer the white back. I like the glossy finish vs the "brushed" finish.
But, now that I have the Tab installed in the samsung case, amounts to a hill of beans difference! Love the case!!

Amen! Though I did go with white because I was getting tired of so many black gadgets...and then I stuck the Samsung book cover on it, which made it black

I tried to tell myself that when I first purchased the white one inadvertently. But aside from the color, the feel of the brushed grey is far superior (IMO) to the white plastic. The plastic feel of the white model just makes it feel cheap. The brushed grey almost makes me feel like its brushed aluminum...

Got the white, which was the only option at the local BB for the 32G version. As others mentioned, you can't see it during day to day use. The feel of the white back is that of any glossy plastic. Haven't held the ggray one, so I can't compare. Ideally, I wanted gray, but I'm very happy with my tab, regardless of color. Frankly, this is my first android device that I haven't rooted - I'm that happy with it.

I/O but.. White in this poll

I picked up the white one the other day at BestBuy for $541.24 with tax.. It got a lot of finger marks on the back after using it for a little bit. I returned it after finding a new in box black one for $450 on craigslist
This happened to be the "black" one (more like graphite grey or something) and this seems more resistant to finger prints. And beeing a little less smooth it seems like the grip is a bit better.
Thats just my $.02 though

since the front is NOT white in anycase like the iPad I would say black and grey is the best combo.

So it all boils down to wanting to look like the iPad? I honestly don't get that. The GT10.1 is superior to the iPad in so many ways - why would you want it to look like one?

The textured back on the gray has a great, secure feel, especially while scrolling screens and holding one-handed. I didn't want the white because of finger prints, assuming I would keep it naked in use and pouched for transport. The difference is night and day, but I miss having a built-in stand with a cover, so it likely won't matter in the end.

Regret getting white S2

Having had my white Galaxy S2 for about a month, I have actually gone off the white colour and now wish I had a black handset. It's a shame as when I first got my phone I was in love with the white colour and I was one of the first to get one of the white handsets on release day.
It's stupid I know but I wandered if anyone had a similar feeling and wished they had the other colour to the one they bought?
Anyone want to do a swap? Lol

You can always get a black case (SGP or any other) and get SGP's Black Glass Screen protector for the front. Now you have a black phone! They also give you a black piece to cover your home button. Now you can switch in between your mood. That is what I am going to do. I hear what your saying though. I love my white one but sometimes I want the black front.

That's not a bad plan. I like the fact that you could choose between the two depending on what you fancy at the time.

GOD! i love my white S2 after years of nothing but black black black , I have had three back S2`s and the silver trim around the edge of the white S2 really does looks the dogs bollics.
But each to their own

A nice sleek silver phone would be lovely but i like my black GS2.

I absolutely love the look of the white GS2, but I went with black for two main reasons. First, (and maybe you can confirm this), I read that the smooth back on the white version made the grip less sure compared to the rough back on the black. Second, as much as I love the look, I'm not really the type that likes to stand out too much, and a black smartphone is a lot less attention-grabbing than a white one, even if the latter is beautiful. Plus, I saved about $30 based on the best prices I could find when I bought. Okay, that was three reasons I guess, so sue me.
But yeah, the white usually costs a bit more, as you can see here already, you won't have any trouble trading someone.

I own a black gs2 and my wife has a white gs2. I like both but I do really like hers more! Looks awesome in white!

It's all a matter of preference. Go for it if it makes you happy. I know a lot of people including me who's like white one. Problem is that option was not available locally and I wanted a phone with warranty.

Haha that's exactly what I keep getting told. Which has put me off the white. Don't get me wrong, I still like the look of it but would much prefer the black.

I prefer the Black as I have got a Black One all my phones have either been Black or Silver.
My colleague just got a White one and It kinda looks Odd compared to mine so quite happy
Yeah and its true girls look cool with white phones

Argh, my first white phone and I love it.
But today I somehow got ink on my hands from a badly made pen and must have picked up my phone,
ink marks stay on the phone and are NOT easily wiped off.
Went from screen cleaner -> lens cleaner -> flash -> Mr muscle, which FINALLY did the job.

I got the white sgs2 after waiting for one month. I love it. I'm happy that I waited for it and didin't buy the black one. Looks awesome in white.

I like the blue quite a bit, but the white one seems to be grabbing my attention the more I look at it. Has anyone here made the switch and regretted it?

haha I'm just getting some opinions man. Sometimes people switch and there may be something they don't like about their decision that can help me make an informed decision.
Sure it's a preference but there are other aspects to the colors that can help a dude decide. Light leak, dirt etc

gotta agree with him.. decide for you not for others. but i am also confused about the colors as well they are both very good. i guess i will just close my eyes and put my hand on one and buy that color lol

Eww I waited for the blue one and I'm glad I did. I held the white phone of my cousin in my hand. And imo it felt subjectively cheap to me after having the blue one! I would never never buy a white one, but as I said taste is very subjective!
Just go to a shop or friend and take it in your hand and then you can decide for yourself

one thing i am worried about is that the white will get dirty so if you like your phones super clean then dont get the white

is that your opinion or experience? cuz the thing with me is i hate it when my phone gets dirty thats why i was leaning towards the blue more

It is a smudge magnet. It's dark and glossy...I mean unless you have some kind of special fingers it gets smudgy.
I have a matte skin coming for mine to take care of that and a regular skin on there now that helps, but naked it gets pretty smudgy.

I dont get it.. how can the white feel cheap when the only difference between the two is color? If you closed your eyes and handled them you wouldnt be able to tell which is blue and which is white so how can the white feel cheaper? lol
I will be getting the blue though only because I dont like white phones.. on that note.

For me it's not smudgy my old arc was much much worse, but I did notice one thing. I put a Samsung flip cover to help protect it, for some reason that back gets a little smudge? But the original didn't

Honestly I can't look at the blue version in a direct light: that brushed finish it has around the screen becomes all shiny and looks cheap as hell, really hurts my eye. A friend of mine is getting it today and i tried everything to convince him to go with the white one, but no luck. I wonder how people aren't bothered by this, especially in direct sunlight...

I have white. I've always had a black phone or dark coloured one so for me white was refresging . I saw the blue when it was finally in stock and glad I got qhite . Some say the white looks cheaper but I think the other way roubd

That's what I didn't like about the blue one. The white is just a simple colour, which, looks much more elegant (if you consider only the pattern by itself).
Also, that after a few months I'd look at it and think "Ugh, why did I get this colour?!". Shades of grey, black and white are more neutral. If I had to pick only one colour clothes for the next two years, it wouldn't be blue, so neither is my phone.
But to be honest, the blue being dark is nice. If it had been that dark in grey, I would have definitely picked it. (I think the brushed finish probably would have suited grey better anyway). My white hasn't had any transfer staining so far, but I am slightly worried hearing what others have said. I'll just have to make sure to use only dye-free (clear) cases.

i have had three blue ones because of various faults. after i sent my first blue one back i went to the carphone warehouse to see the white one in the flesh as the replacement date was earlier for the white.
but after comparing it to the blue one i decided to wait for another blue.
again there was unrelated fault and had to send back again, still waited for a blue and very glad i held out as i love it.
just my opinion, maybe because i have a white s2

ordered the white version but still debating which one looks best.

Black is best IMO, so sleek

If you hate fingerprints on your phone, then the white one is best. But I think the white ones look cheaper and more "plastic" in appearance. The black ones look better to me.

Verizon says I can have any color I want as long as it happens to be black....

I'm getting a black phone, of course. I'm a man after all.

I like white phones but I rely on the LED notification a lot!
I notice that on black phones the notification led seems more pronounced with the darker surrounding background, on my white S4 I sometimes miss it when I glance at the phone from a distance.
Stupid reason from some but it's a real good reason to choose black for me.

I'm thinking white, my Iphone 5 is white and has the same black bezel around the screen, making it look smaller, but I don't really mind.
White looks a bit more trendy and different. I've only had grey/black phones so up until now and I'm in love with the iphone's white looks. The G2 looks really nice in white too - grabs more attention.
Only one thing - do you think the silver paint on the back buttons might wear out faster?

The white looks great, but beware! If you plan to get the same case (which is awesome btw) or any other white rubber case, it will slowly turn into any color it touches the most. Eg. mine is slowly turning into blue, because of my blue jeans! I keep it in my pocket.
Doesn't look that bad, but maybe some will hate it!

I have a white G2 with a black Diztronic tpu case and I love it. The white looks really nice and doesn't show fingerprints without the case.

Coming from a white galaxy s2 I wished to get the white g2 also but it wasnt available at the moment so I went for the black one. Don't regred it tho. Wouldn't change it for the white one now.

I have white in all honestly I love the phone in white it makes the screen and everything pop out more for me. Granted notification led doesn't look the best compared to the black model but I would definitely go for the white. Most people have black anyways and with most cases being black now it just doesn't look good with the phone being black. I have the otter box case and black on white looks amazing with this phone.

I was gonna buy the white one because the black version didn't look good in videos and photos, but when i saw it close up i was convinced to get the black one.

I went with black.
Black and red tech devices makes my heart glow.
Thus, black G2 with a dark red matte case makes me happy.

White with a white case works for me
