I am a huge feed reader and having trouble finding the best one available. I like feedr pro bec it has great widgets and seamless sync with Google reader but actually reading articles in app just sucks.
Any insight?
Thanks

I like minimal reader, the dev is also active here on xda.

I use google's native reader app. Has an unread count widget too. Works well for me, you have to manually update more often than I'd like, but not a big deal. Google Reader v0.9.3 right now.
I also use Google reader. It does everything I want it to and looks nice.

I love D7 Google Reader for my subscriptions and PULSE is awesome for quickly browsing cool new stuff that I might be interested in.

Newsrob. Auto syncs, and all functionality I need.
I've used quite a few RSS reader programs, but as with most google services, their native app seems to be the one that works the best. Simple, fast, free, and it Just Works(R).
I'll throw another one in here. I use gReader Pro. The developer is responsive to support and feature requests. There is also a free version.

I feel you. This is the other one I liked. The dev is a very cool dude I just cang seem to correct all the syncing problems with greader

Do you use cloud storage?
If yes, which one?
I know DropBox, does it has Honeycomb optimized app?
Wonder which others are using and if it has optimized Honeycomb app.
FWIW I read something the other day, mentioning that Samsung are soon to announce their own cloud service. That explains the lack of MicroSD slots.

I'm using DropBox & SugarSync. So far no issues.
Im using Google music beta

But you can only store music files, not others like doc zip etc.

Me too, both seem to work fine on the 10.1.
Somebody posed this question around 6 months ago and I am curious what most people like these days. I know some changes have been made to some of the apps out there. some for the better, some for the worse. I personally am partial to Tweetdeck. I find it user friendly and also like how I can exceed 160 characters.
anyone else?
I enjoy Twitter for Android, but I have used Twicca and it is quite nice.

I use Plume. The ads on the free version don't really get in the way. I've tried them all, keep coming back to Plume!
Twitter seems to be slowly kicking out the third party apps that coincidentally help make them famous on Android. I went from Twidroid to Plume and finally just made the move to the official Twitter app.
I use tweetcaster

I did the same thing. The official twitter app is actually quite nice! Twidroyd is garbage now. But plume is still an excellent app.

Did use Twidroyd, using Seesmic now.

Which is the best office suite for android
documents to go or office suite 6 ( or any other app) ?
Using Arc S with official ICS
Office Suite Pro 6 from MobiSystems is REALLY good...
It was recently on offer for 69p, but it's well worth the proper asking price.
Try kingsoft. I find that awesome..
And it is completely free.

I use kingsoft office. Removed the default office suite that comes pre-installed. So far so good as I only use it for read only purpose.

I mostly receive pdf files. Best app for pdf review is docs to go.

You can also check out CloudOn, it uses MS Office over the internet. Great if you need all the features etc. It also auto syncs with your dropbox, box and google drive accounts
Try smartoffice.
I'd go with Quickoffice.

Have tried QuickOffice and Documents To Go, I believe DTG is better.
I believe that all of them are going quite the same job u just need to find the interfaceu like
So far I've only tried OfficeSuite, but most of the interfaces are the same.
And to be honest, it is so difficult to work with phones on them, since you don't have all the tools you'll get on a computer.
Either way for small editing or checking some files, OfficeSuite will do the work.
Trying to figure out which one you guys feel is the best for our tf101. What do you think?

I use friendcaster. It might not be perfect but this is much better than the official Facebook application. The official is very slow and is pretty useless in low network connectivity condition.
Gabriel
Since all of the browsers and apps are terribly glitchy for me, the best solution is using Splashtop HD to remote desktop my computer and view from there... Rather roundabout but it's fast and Doesn't Glitch!
I think there are three real tablet Facebook apps:
FaceDroid (paid app)
Friend Me
Friendcaster.
I'd say Friendcaster is the best one, gives you a very nice Facebook experience with all needed features and a nice UI, plus good widgets.
Definitely not the Facebook app! Too clunky

how is that facedroid app? I heard its pretty good as well. Anyone have any experience with it?

I like facedroid, but I think that fbm is better . But with facedroid if you have a problem or find a bug and report it to the developer, he will E-mail you back within a couple of hours on how to fix your problem or within a week or so you will see an update that fixes that bug.So the great support is worth the money alone. But it does show those pesky game updates in the feed like anyone needs to see that jeff married his cousin on farm ville.Without the games in the feed it would be the best fb app in my opinion.

hmmm interesting. What is fbm btw? Anyone else give a +1 to facedroid? Gideo how is the UI compared to friendcaster?
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using xda premium
I've never tried friendcaster, but the UI is pretty clean, and fbm has a nearly identical look to the official fb app with the ability to upload pics and post YouTube links and has notification, but it does not crash, and when you open it it just works....best part is when you turn it off it is off and does not use 30 to 50mb of ram all the time like official fb app.

Use the default facebook app or facebook website if you want to see all your friend's posts.
Use third-party apps if you don't mind missing posts, but like the customization.
Remember, third party apps can be blocked by your friends so they not only see your posts, but you don't see theirs either.
Unfortunately, the stock Facebook app is a memory hog, but it works.

Not only is it a memory hog but it kills sleep eating up your battery. So get your friends to allow 3rd party apps to see their posts.

I've been looking for one too that works 100%, I love the look of Friendcaster Pro and have been using it for 6+ months but it screws up a lot and either doesn't post my comments/status updates or when I try and load something it will be like "Friendcaster received an invalid response from Facebook". The notification Window annoys me on the official app because it's so tiny and only shows about three or four things, not to mention I still can't figure out how to share things from it. Is it even possible to do so?
I'll give Facedroid a try and see how it is.

Using Firefox beta (v14) with agent set as Desktop/ipad is also good enough. (Desktop-like interface)
Hello, I've been using Polaris office for more than a year on both my note 2 and note 10.1. It has crashed on me many times and lost a lot of work coz of that. Is there any other app which is capable of drawing on ppt? Really appreciate thanks!*
As a student I do a lot of annotations. For pdf I use ezpdf works really well except some unintuitive features. For word doc I use Polaris.

Try kingsoft, or officesuite
Sent from my GT-N8000 using Tapatalk 4
Thanks, but I've both, they claim to allow free hand drawing but I am unable to find the function. Kingsoft version 5.8 and officesuite 7.3.1510. Am I missing something?

I dont know but you can try google's Quickoffice
Sent from my GT-N8013 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I've tried that but it doesn't have annotation features, it's functions are even less than other free apps :/
Sent from my GT-N7105 using xda app-developers app
I think Polaris is the only one that actually allows good annotation on ppt although the eraser kind of sucks.
I've found that any ppt with the file ".pptx" will cause EXTREMELY LONG SAVING and sometimes, just crash with the reason of not enough memory or something.
So what I've been doing for class is downloading the pptx to my computer and converting it to Word document 2003-07 so it would have a ".ppt" file. Any amount of handwriting I do to the .ppt file gets save very quick and stays. The ppt I use usually have 80+ slides.
Is this how you've been doing it with polaris? I also have quickoffice and officesuite in my tablet just for multiple viewing of ppts but none really allows me to annotate other than polaris.
Yes exactly my sentiments. I faced the problem of taking very long to save and sometimes crashing, but did not notice if it was pptx. Thanks for the advice I'll give it a try! The eraser really sucks lol. I tried the Polaris version 5.0 but doesn't work well with note 10.1. Guess I have to stick to Polaris then.

Microsoft does have an office for android app. I'm not sure what if any features it has for powerpoint or if it's any better than any other app just because it's from Microsoft, but it might be worth checking out if you haven't already. I believe you need to have a qualifying subscription to office 365 to use it though. I think you can setup a trial subscription if you don't have one. Since you are a student I believe you can get a 4 your subscription for $80 that will give you the full office suite on up to 5 computers plus mobile devices so definitely an option if you find that the app is useful.
I've tried it, Ms office for android would never be any good because it would be against their interest by provide true productivity on android instead of Windows tablet.

And do you need to keep the ppt format? If not you could print it in pdf format and manipulate it with SNote, ezPdf or RepliGo, for example.
