The one that came with the ROM.
The ROM developer has alot more control over it, and test it out. I've personally never used a 4th party kernel and have no complaints at all.

I would have to say faux's 2.6.6. I have never had any issues with any of his kernels. This one is especially feature-filled and reliable.
im definitely gonn have to try ckisgen's 1.4 kernel wen he releases it!

I am running syndicate rom 1.1.1. and im using EE03 modem, what kernel does everyone think i should be running, vision kernel 1.1 or twilight kernel?
I think genocide is the best kernal out currently, rodderik is the **** when it comes to kernals, I run ACS 1.1 w genocide and ee03 modem, the new kernal with 1.1.1 mite be better than the previous one, but I think Ill stay with rods.

Dalingrin's OC kernel thread states:
"2.6.32 CM7 builds currently do not work with the nightlies or stable builds. You must use a test build from the developers thread."
Is there any other option to get OC above the CM7 settings? Would like to test if overclockable to 1200mhz or even 1100mhz stable.
Thanks!!
Download update-CM7-dalingrin-OC-emmc-052311
That is OC up to 1200. Using N87 as we speak.

Thank you!!!
This is great news. I also, just now, saw these quotes in another CM7 thread...

This is correct. Don't need to flash u-boot for n86 and on. Just flash the nightly itself, then the 5/23 OC kernel if you want to overclock.

You can just flash the latest nightly right over cm7.0.3, followed by the 5/23 OC kernel if you want to overclock. Did exactly that just today without any problems, and everything is now working wonderfully.

I need to search more next time.
OC'd to 1200Mhz and I am now a super duper happy nooker
Which kernal are you guys using for jvp.
Could you answer the following:
1.quadrant score on third run with and without ext4
2.extra support eg.sharpness fix bln etc?
3.does everything work with it, no bugs?stable?
4.custom rom or stock?
Thanks, need some help making my mind up.
First (everytime such a thread comes up)! Its your decision!!
I recommend Semaphore Kernel which is based on Chainfire's initram.ds and has voodoo sound v9, OC/UV (up to 1.2Ghz) and runs flawlessly on JVH,JVO and JVP (on every ROM/Stock FW)

I also recommed semaphore kernel.
I also recommend semaphore kernel...
my quadrank score on third run with OC to 1.2 Ghz and Ext 4 is 2756
even without any custom kernel, 2.3.4 rocks the quadrant!!
alng with this, u get Voodoo V9

Now I´m going to try semaphore kernel, all the people said this kernel it´s awesome.
I always prefer the stock roms
dark core is pretty nice too, has lagfix, voodoo 9 and everything.
Thanks guys think I will give semaphore a go, so many recommendations. Jvp is a great leap forward in rom development for our galaxy.not sure about overclocking at the moment, feel like I dont need it. btw currently on ramads deodexed jvp with cfroot and juwes ram script.

for now semaphore kernel
Actually stock and supercurio's kernel are the only ones with fixed autobrightness but you have to leave overclock, sharpness fix, voodoo sound etc. With supercurio's you get ext4 lagfix + hacks, this is my choice, waiting for a fixed dark core 2.x.

Using Rcmix latest kernel, some comments about it would be good and looking for some suggestions about other kernels to get the best out of the rom..
Hi,
if you want to have Kernels for Sense based Roms i would recommend
RcMix Kernel 11.1 (not 12... on 12 there were some bugs reported)
Kernel can be found here:
http://forums.acsyndicate.net/showthread.php?1728-Kernel-RCMIX-3D-CIFS-NLS-OC1-9-VDD-TUN-2WCR
Otherwise check
LeeDrOiD Kernel V 4.0.0
Kernel can be found here:
http://leedroid.ftp.rshost.eu/DHD-Kernels/LeeDrOiD-Ace-GB-V4.0.0-KERNEL-2.6.35.14-CFS.zip
Greetings
I'm on rcmix 11.1 i believe...thanks though
I'd say Lordmod NCT Sense v5.0 which can be found here
