In your opinion, which rom out there runs the fastest on the G1. (regardless of android version)

In My opnion SuperBAD CM5 v1.7 which is on Eclair made my HTCCLAy's is my best tryouts...
Its simply a great work by him.

(cm6) froyoredux, biffmod 1.9 and up, sparks mod

SuperEclair ftw. if u gonna use 2.1. its fast and has some good preloaded stuff that i am too lazy to install manually

I installed biffmod twice on my G1. Each time it was much slower than stock CM6...

Fasted one I have used to date is SuperD.
It's 1.6 but fast

I tied many 2.1 and 2.2 ROMS but I always return to SuperD. For me it's the fastest and most stable ROM for daily use.

Yeah if your goin 1.6 I would have to say super d or supercsdi for sure

quite happy with KK#5 + setCPU

I have had the best luck with SkyRaider 3.3 and K/K #5. Getting the best battery uptime I have had to date. With any ROM/Kernel combo, and I have tried them all, I assure you!

Adrynalyne V2 Kernel running SkyRaider 3.3.1 Rom, best Battery life over King BFS#5 and hydra kernels, one smooth running rom.
I had "sloooow"downs running King and hydra kernels after about 10 hours of use.

Well? Yes of course I have, You have to have 3. 3 before upgrading to 3. 3. 1
Running SkyRaider 3.3.1 Incredible Rom with Adrynalyne V2 kernel & Uncommon rosie pack.

same here. KK BFS #5 has been good to me. Doubled my battery life.

GPS lags on. Kings bfs 5? Just switched from uncommon using bfs 5, sucks.

CM7 RC2 Wimax functionality in Kernel?

Hi I had just flashed the new CM7 RC2 and I flashed the snap dragon kernel and now the 4g is stuck on turning on. I was wondering if CM7 RC2's original kernel is the reason why it works.
If so is there a way to get the original kernel or do I have to reflash everything? Please let me know thanks!

Just reflash the rc2. The kernal in there is why 4g works. Or u can use the savagenzen kernal and just flash that on top of rc2

yeah im using the Savage Zen 0.1.2 can its working great for me....battery life is also amazing with this kernel....give it a go....u can always go back

I only see rc1 and nightly 14 where is rc2???

I can not find where to get rc2. It is not on my ROM Manager

What's the difference between this and RC1? besides wimax I mean. And is it pretty stable right now? Cause RC1 works like a dream for me.

[Q] What kernel should i use?

I am running syndicate rom 1.1.1. and im using EE03 modem, what kernel does everyone think i should be running, vision kernel 1.1 or twilight kernel?

I think genocide is the best kernal out currently, rodderik is the **** when it comes to kernals, I run ACS 1.1 w genocide and ee03 modem, the new kernal with 1.1.1 mite be better than the previous one, but I think Ill stay with rods.

when i was on 1.1.0 i never used twilight always vision but now this new one seems to be better than vision... im going to try it out for a while , also never tried genocide... will try

Aghh that's a tough question, everyone will say "try and see for yourself the best one that fits you".
The BEST for me is latest full stock with no customization at all.

you should try this rom:F1 Galaxy S II V8 with touchwiz 4.0+Semaphore kernel 2.5.0...running so smooth and doing very well..

You should try semaphore kernel + Thunderbolt Tweaks.
For ROM, I'm using F1 Innovation HD 7.0.
It is stable and smooth......

Best rom: [ROM][ICS][I9000] Team ICSSGS RC4.2 with Semaphore 0.81, Devil 14.2 or Devil 15.1 kernels

The best stock roms are from Poland (CSC:XEO) .
Check out JS8 rom for 2.2.1 , it's fast and very stable with good signals (GPS,Wireless,etc.).
Unfortunately i don't recommend 2.3.x roms because in my opinion are simply crap.

Currently using MIUI 2.2.24 with patch
Very fast and stable, looks nice and good battery life.
Just to add a bit of polish I use the Black Android Theme.
Lovely looking theme if you like black themes.

Yes. Semaphore is the best kernel. Devil not bad too.

I finally bailed on GB and installed ICS last night. Very nice, teamics with semaphore running very smooth with no issues.
GB was always disappointing. More memory used and not much slicker or faster than Froyo.
As someone said JS8 with speedmod was very good, probably the best for being lean. ICS is probably sucking back the same amount of memory as GB but at least it runs much smoother, looks better and has some cool features added.

I just installed this rom to my galaxy s. It is a bit slow but it is my favorite room.

AOKP Rom + Semaphore kernel. Trying Devil kernel atm, not bad.
