UK three mobile sgs2 - Galaxy S II General

Found out today that my sgs2 on three mobile UK has no sim lock. Placed my o2 sim card in and it worked fine, then got calls from the missus that she was getting constant sms to say I had changed my sim, I had forgotten I had set up the sim change security with her number added oops

Need Help !!!

My phone has stopped working 3G for one day until now( i've used for 1 month) even I try everything such as active, deactive ,reboot, up rom,...but it didn't work at all. I can't see the signal of 3G on the top bar. I don't know the reason is. Could you please help me ?
(I use Vodaphone carrier network in Australia)

I've done that but it did not work even though in stock rom or cook rom.
Could also possibly be a problem with the network... Masts do break down. Have you tried your sim in a different phone?

It Damn well might be a Network issue. I'm Not from Australia, but I've been having the Same issue as you for at least a Month! Call your phone company and Complain... I Did and at least got Credited $!

I have just try a different sim card in my galaxy s2, surprisingly icon 3G appear. I think the problem with the Vodafone sim card. OMG. Vodafone carrier. Thanks all you guys very much.

Mobile network not working [HELP]

Hi,
I ordered the N4 the first day and yesterday it came here in Italy via FedEx, using a service called viaddress. I change my SIM and got a MicroSIM but when I insert it the phone ask me for the PIN, I put it but I get "No service". The Sim is recognized, but the network doesn't connect. I typed #*#*4636*#*# and it shows -95 db so the antenna is working but it doesn't register on the network. Can you please help me? Can I re-flash the radio? Or how can I get warranty, without spending much money? Thanks if you help me!

Did you activate the microsim already?
I just switched the Sim, about 3 hours ago, maybe that's the problem, tomorrow I can tell you more

Ok, now the antenna shows -99 db so I think it isn't an hardware problem but a software one, I'm downloading the stock image and I'll try to flash the stock radio, boot loader ecc.

Here in Italy is another day it still doesn't connect. I'll try to do a factory reset and re-flash the baseband. I don't want to send it in USA, it will cost me up to 50€

OK now everything is working, I typed *#*#4636#*#* and in the network type field I chose WCDMA (aka UMTS) and now it's working.

Lazy 4G on EE problem

UK EE 4G network in Nottingham.
I have in my work building 2 bars of 4G signal every now and then it switches to the E symbol giving me very slow Internet.
The way to get my phone to wake up and use 4G I have to do the following.
Settings network search.
EE is at the top of the list of available networks. Then 3 other UK networks and then the bottom one is EE again.
I have to select the bottom EE network and wait for it to register. Still no 4G only E.
Then I have to search the networks again and select the top EE network and then it works!?
What do you think the problem is?
I've rang EE and there Is no network issues.
I'm waiting for a call back today at 4pm.
I've been told I can exchange my handset as I'm only 8 days into my new contract.
I'm just a little worried about swapping for a hot running handset as mine is perfect other than the above issue.

Mine has done the last few days it is a network issue as spoke to three owners in the ee store they had same issue.

Really well that's interesting. I don't know weather to cancel my replacement or not? The lady I spoke to said that the iPhone had the same problem a while ago but a update fixed it. Not sure if she meant a network update or a ios one

Well I've just tested this morning and it's working perfectly normal now! Switching after a call from 3g to 4g in about ten seconds after ending a call

EE had a network outage for 4 g customers last month and as an apology reset everybody's Internet allowance so I'm guessing this is what happend can be seen n there twitter account somewhere

There's no point in getting another handset, I've had my second GS4 now and I am having an identical problem on EE. It seems fine until you make a call or receive a call sometimes it stays connected to 3G during the call and switches to E at the end and sometimes it just switches to E at the end. I can't then get 3G or 4G at all just E! This sometimes lasts hours and no amount of resetting the network can get it back, paying an awful lot a month for this :crying:

T- MOBILE Sim Card Problem

Hello Guys... i have bought a at&t galaxy s4... the phone was locked to at&t i bougth an unlock code on ebay.. cuz i want to use the phone on t mobile... when i inserted a t mobile sim card.. the phone says no sim.. so i get a sim card from simplemobile then so i put simplemobile sim card and phone ask me for a unlock code i put the code i bougth on ebay.. and says unlock sucefully .. now i can use simplemobile... but when i try using my t mobile sim card the phone still saying no sim.. i also try my friends sim card he is using a S4 too... and still says no sim.. the i try my father's t mobile sim card and the same no sim
does anyone can help me please.. i have my plan whit t mobile.. i dont want to switch to simplemobile
The SIM card may be locked to the device it was activated on. I suggest going to a T-Mobile store to see if they can help.

i tried 3 sim card ... DId they lock all the sim cards?? .. thanks for the suggest i will go to t mobile today
It is likely that they lock the cards to the device that the card is activated with. It seems like it is the only possible reason that you can't use T-Mobile cards.

I went to t-mobile. They tried another sim car and the phones was the same no sim... the said that the problem was with the phone cuz the sim cards are news and working on other phones... i dont know why the problem is only with t-mobile sim cards.. they say that if the phone was from t-mobile they could change me for another phone but it is at&t.... do u you think that it will be any problem if i go to at&t and tell the that my phone is unlocked but it doesnt read t-mobiles' sim cards

They could help. Might as well try. It is a very weird situation. If other SIM cards are working with it, it shouldn't be the phone...

Is it possible that you didn't unlock all the bands on your device? There is a tutorial around here somewhere that shows how to unlock all the bands for use with absolutely any carrier. From my understanding it is different then just unlocking with a code.

Yes but it should said invalid sim car or ask me for that code when i insert t-mobile sim card... but the phones says no sim.. it doesnt even read the sim.... and when u unlock with a code i think is like factory unlock cuz my father unlock his phone with a code and his phone works fine

I went to t-mobile and at&t and they said that the problem was problably with the phone.. and they can do nothing to help me... so i sold the phone.. i will get another

Anyone have working data on Straight Talk (T-Mobile) this morning?

I woke up this morning to my phone saying I need to sign into the network HOME. The phone shows 3G/H but cant connect to Google's services, apps cant get to data and when I try to go anywhere in the browser it redirects me to a T-Mobile web page saying I dont have a working data plan and to sign up for a data plan. I'm in Atlanta, GA.

I doubt its going to be fixed on here but I am wondering if its global or if I should keep harping on them because its specific to my SIM.
You need to set your APN to T-Mobile settings. I'll post my settings.

I had the exact same issue a few days ago with net10. Support was not helpful. Finally purchased a new tmobile sim, and did the transfer existing service to new sim via the website. Had data back within a few minutes.

I use Platinum Tel which also borrows its service from T-mobile and I havent had data working for 2 days. I turn it on but nothing happens. I've asked them about it and I checked two different phones. I dont know whatsup.
I checked the APN settings and they were ok.
My APN settings never changed and they were never those settings. Let me reiterate, I am on STRAIGHT TALK and not T-Mobile directly.
Then have had me trying a dozen ones and nothing.
I'm having the same issue, and so are people on Facebook and the ST forums. Support is useless, but I finally got escalated high enough to make them put in a detailed ticket about the issue.
It's not just you, it's a lot of people, so I'm hoping it'll be fixed soonish.
Still broken, this is two days out now :/ If anyone has this fixed for themselves somehow, please post.

Data is working now for me. I contacted platinum tel customer service and somehow it was fixed.

I had to buy a new sim card and transfer the service.
They sent me an AT&T SIM.
