Same with firefox
Is there a solution to this problem, I still can't download files (I.E. APK's or ZIP's) from any browser.
Thanks in advance!
p.s. I tried "Download all files" and "ByteTornado Downloader" without any luck, even tried "Astro File Manager" and setting the box to have 'Enable browser downloads' enabled, even that didnt help, any advice would be fkin awesome
It appears that link is taking you to several throttled download sites. For Rapidshare, when you click download you start a very annoying download counter that does not actually give you a downlo0ad button until it counts down. It appears you are getting a download, but until you wait and the download button turns green, you did not.
For the help of it..I just downloaded the file no problem with FireFox..use stock browser to browse went to megaupload..copied url. And downloaded with FireFox..no problems.

ya, but if you leave firefox, the download stops!
I have this issue when I tried to download more than one file. The first one works fine but the second file will stop immediately after it start to download. Then it just wouldn't download properly even after the first file completed. Maybe is some multiple download bug?

Is there anyway to change the indialer backgrounds on the wing? I can find some dialer screens, but all I want to do is change the background not the buttons. Also when someone calls I would like to be able to change that background as well. I have searched all over this site and the net and can find nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

No it can be done. I remember reading about it a WHILE ago...but I did a little searching and this is what I came up with. Its called tdial design.

Thanks for the reply, but I tried that and it has an error in the file after i unzip and try to use it. May be I'm doing something wrong. Will try again.

I guess my computer does not recognize this app. Every time I try to open it I get "the application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135)." what the Hell does that mean?

Hmmm, odd. I even redownloaded the app that I posted, unzipped it, and reinstalled it and it worked fine. You are unzipping the file first, and then trying to run the application right? Maybe whatever you are using to unzip could be corrupt. Try winrar or winzip to unzip it.
Oh, you aren't trying to install this on your phone are you? You install this on your computer and run it there, not your phone.
tdial only works if your dialer is the HTC touch dialer that comes with some roms. The default TMo rom doesn't have it. If you want to customize it with tdial, you need to first have HTC touch dialer installed.
Hi all, I seem to have a strange problem - I cannot download files of some kinds, like .apk files. There is a message saying the type of file is not supported on my device. Do you know if I can download them anyway, bypassing this? Thank you in advance. (a friend of mine with the same firmware doesn't have that problem)
how are you trying to "download" those?
just copy and past from your computer to the USB when the phone is plugged in

no, i mean by the browser.
use the option to save as
you might need to install another browser like Skyfire for example or OperaMini
I have downloaded apk files using the stock browser, so that's shouldn't be an issue.
I don't know if it is me doing anything wrong, but I can not seem to save any media files that people send me via text message rather it be pics or it be ringtones.

I could be on the wrong problem here, but is it giving you the message that that type of file is not compatible with the phone? or something like that?
if so, just use astro file manager (from the market) and go to menue >>more >>preferences >>enable browser downloader and check that.
thats what worked for me

Same here and at times and in mega upload it even gives error
Sent from my R800i using XDA Premium App
I think it has something to do with the site recognizing that your downloading from a mobile device. Not 100% sure though. Had a similar problem before but when i tried downloading it form a desktop, it downloaded properly. You should probably just download it from you PC then upload it to your phone.
as you can see in the title im looking for the file MOD-4.4.2-Touchscreen-Issues-Fix.zip.
unfortunately the dev host link on shakys thread seems to be dead.
whenever i click download, it loads forever. after sime time it says something like "error, connection time out".
i also tried it with right click and and save link. after that it starts to add the file to the download queue but never actually starts to download it (stays forever on "download pending)
i tried it this on the tablet, my phone and pc and none of them were able tu download it so far.
so if anyone still has this file laying around somewhere, could you reupload it for me?
Thanks in advance
Pls anyone? I really need the file
See if this works
