[Q] Any HSDPA kernel ?? - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

hello , I have a question about My service provider suitable kernel .
it's HSDPA , I tried a lot of kernels , only "rafpigna 1.9 OC with Desire HD Roms only " that worked for me in calling - sending messages - receive mms and sms
other kernels have some problems like no service - service is ok but I cant send messages - cant send or receive mms "after putting APN for sure "
so my question is how to make all roms work with my provider ?
its VIVA kuwait , HSDPA .
Best wishes ,
MGW

what roms are you using?
i doubt its a kernel issue but you can always use rafpigans kernel on other roms

The "every thing" working roms are only Desire HD based Roms with rafpigna kernel .
but I would like to use other "lite" roms like MIUI , nexus HD2 . "Buthave problems even when I change the kernel to rafpigna ."
thank u any way brother .

up guys I can use only desire and desire hd roms that is working in my sim card provider now I'm on typhone rom latest ver. it shows " no service "
any good solution ?

Best android rom for WildFire

I m searching the best rom for WildFire.
i l tryet all are on this section ... an nothing like s me.
For exemple : Stock roms not working Angry birds for exemple and you can t overclock you proc ( instaled and last kernel ...)
Others , at least the Froyo versions ... hmmm my opinion Battery drainers ... With Stock Roms ( mine and one i dw ed ) my battery keep my device alive 4-5 days with Froyo roms with a lil luck 2 days.
So , in you opinions guys ... What is the best rom what exist in this moment?
The best rom possible it will be a clean one (my opinion) without tweeter, facebook, youtube,Actions,Meteo,Peep,Sense .... A clean one of Froyo.
It is a personal choice however I use the WildPuzzleROM_2.1 Eclair v1.0.1 because I have not found any bugs with it. It also has HTC sense so I can use friend stream. and with support for apps2sd good for all of my apps. I personally do not like 2.2 Froyo version as of yet as the friend stream application does not function.
However If you tell us what your looking for from your custom wildfire Rom then we might be able to help more
Im a very new xda member and im also searching for a totally stripped clean rom
And i couldnt find nothin
So i thought im gonna create one by myself
im still very new to all this so if u know anybody who could help me with that?
I tried using the kitchen but also that is kind a confusing
If you want a clean rom the best is openfire 2.3 doesn't have nothing installed and is the fastest rom for htc wildfire, but I rather the cyanogenmod rom and it is by far the best rom, but how dnelson94 says it is a personal choice.
Clean Rom
yes I would recommend openfire 2.3 for a clean Rom and good look with making your own
I only got a Wildfire a few days ago, how do I go about installing a rom. Does it void warranty or anything?
Hmmmm

So if you want a custom rom ..you must root him , i use it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=788776 , only in this way you can ...
in my opnion ...is irevocable, so you will lose you warranty ... But this phone never crush , until you make something wrong, search, read and make IN THIS ORDER .
+1 for OpenFire 2.3. Made my phone much faster and smoother to work with and extended battery life a little bit.
Can't comment on Cyanogen as I haven't tried it yet.
+1 for OpenFire 2.3 too.
I have started with Openfire 2.3, then tried Cyanogen, but after flashinng patched market and getting FCs after each install, got back to backup of OpenFire. This roms is blazzingly fast and lightweight. Thus, Cyanogen has way more customization options. Maybe i'll try to put it again with some nightly build this weekend.
I will try to help you in installing rom..

Well fastest Sense ROM is SUnAaBh .. See it in my signature..

Gtalk not working on 3G

Greetings all,
This is my second day with the Galaxy S2 and my first post in your forums , i upgraded from xperia x10 and i have no words to describe this super machine .
Impressed from the stock Firmware and touchwiz.
Anyway back to the subject , i have a problem with gtalk at stock rom, i cant connect to it through 3g, but i can use every other application with no problems , browser , gmail, emails all working great with 3g.
I flashed Galnet Miui yesterday and tried gtalk and working with 3g.
So i kindly ask if someone could help with this problem .
Why gtalk working with 3G on Miui rom and NOT in stock rom ?
With simple words in stock rom gtalk app can not communicate with server, not even logging .
Gtalk is very important application for me and my work and i would really love to use the stock or roms based on stock but unfortunately i can not because of that.
Dont get me wrong i like Miui but i used it a lot on x10 and touchwiz giving me the feeling of a solid , fast and complete Rom.
I am reading your threads and i am impressed how people in here trying to help , advice each other. Everything is in order.
Thanks in advance guys,
Regards
Vatis
Try the gtalk enabler in the market (I think that's what its called). Worked for me to get video chat over 3g (att has the feature marked as not available over 3g, gtalk enabler overrides this)
EDIT: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.innodroid.gtalkenabler
If its blocked by your carrier, try finding the apk on the developer's website.
@compuw22c ,
Thank you for your fast reply .
I will try it as soon as i will re-flash stock Rom .
Sorry to change subject but now in the Galnet Miui its pre-installed the new version of gtalk with video support , i guess there is also a working version for stock?
Can you provide some more details.
Thanks again.

I personally use MIUI JB http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1839194 it's still beta and not 100% stable but you might give this one a chance http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1117787. Vibe works on MIUI JB so i think it also will work on MIUI.us
any CM7/AOSP ROM with a kernel that is compatible with Viber e.g. Dorimanx kernel
kernel is the culprit, not the ROM itself

I have a trouble i buy a htc hd2 before month.
I trying to reinstall the phone with tutorial of jiucybooce of youtube video.
I make wipe29,installed radio,HSPL,and a lot of roms etc (2.3.7 / 2.3.6 / 4.0.4 and last i install 4.4.1 kitkat.)
When i turn htc on it works perfect but when i have a calling it works 1-2 minutes in calling and then freezing and do not response i remove a baterry for a one minute then turn it on and everything is perfect sometimes freezing by apps.
My question is for that is a hardware or software bug .. ? I think is hardware becouse i installed couple of roms and the **** is the same with everything roms..

It's not workig bro i installed the last radio rom and android NexusHD2-ICS-CM9-HWA_V2.9a work but when i call operator or something it's freeze ...
Hello h3tr1k,
my guess: either a bad flash => try setting up the ROM from the scratch
OR
maybe you overclocked you device? Mine tends to freeze and humm when phone connection is establishing. Try standard CPU clock frequency.
OR
It comes to my mind that bad NAND blocks are the cause of your issue. You could try installing a NativeSD or DirectSD Android version to rule that out.
Kindest regards

LAG?

Right , I recently bought a HD2 to test out and try a few roms etc but the problem is that im experiencing lag with all of the roms that I try . Does anyone else have the same problem and how do I fix it ?
I have tried to use a nand install and data on ext install but they both give me a laggy experience .
I have also tried native sd with a class 4 card and im still receiving lag.
I just want to use normal apps like youtube , bbc , bbc iplayer and souncloud etc without any lag whatsoever .

Dear Friend ... At first let me tell you that your Question is in the wrong place and you should ask it in the Q&A Threads ... but anyway , about the lag , I think your HD2 needs a new Radio ROM ( If You Have EU HD2 , use 2.15.50.14 Radio ) also you didn't say anything about the bootloader ( if it's MAGLDR or CLK ? - I recommend you to try MAGLDR which supports .RMNET ) also I recommend you to try Typhoon CM7 or HyperDroid ROMs which are smooth and stable ... good luck

Alright ... so there should be a problem with MAGLDR ( As you have problem with any ROM you install ) so I recommend you to try CLK or Black LK and then reflash a fast ROM using HD2 Toolkit in the following order :
1 - Do a Task29 ( wipes the phone )
2 - flash CLK / BLK ( Important Note : use the nand partition size told in the ROM's thread for a specific ROM !!! for example , for this ROM use 150 MB NAND and 5 MB cach as the OP says )
3 - flash recovery ( - Optional - if you don't have )
4 - do a full wipe ( data factory reset + cach + dalvik cach should get wiped )
5 - reboot ( what a hard level  ) .... I think this should solve it ... remember that CM7 and some of non sense ROMs are installed on NAND and are faster than Data On EXT / Native SD / SD / etc. like Typhoon CM7 and others ...but , I don't understand what you mean of lag ? ... would you please give more details ? ( about : where / when / how / how long / etc. ) ... good luck

I think you mean the sleep of death which appears in KK ( 4.3.X & 4.4.X ROMs ) in which you should rise the Min CPU Freq to solve it ... you can use many apps like " No Frill CPU " or " SetCPU " to rise the Min CPU Freq ... about the wallpaper app , I don't have any Idea I think if you use another app , you may get wallpapers with the correct resolution ... Hey , NP about the sig , The sound problem is there no matter what rom I pick its like a crackling sound that occurs for like 1 sec when the speakers havnt been used for some time and then doesnt occur until the next time I play something after leaving the speaker inactive . The reason why i know its not the speakers is that if I connect the earphones but havnt played any media then the first media I play the crackling sound will come through the earphones too.
Also I have searched for a link for BLK CLK but im unable to find it , would be appreciated if a link can be posted.

This problem occurs only if there is any high tone like a snare drum at the beginning. The Volume feels like 300% then. You just have to know your songs then you should be prepared :silly:.
