not with the default Honeycomb launcher, no.
Install SiMi Folder from the Market, it's free. It lets you create folders then add apps to the folders you create accordingly.

Astro File Manager allows you to create folder
Astro allows you to create folders within the /root and other storage areas like the SD. I believe koozer and others (myself among them) are trying to add folders to the home screens.
Chlballi
File Manager HD also can create folder
I've been using the free version of folder organizer. Seem's to work fairly well. Haven't found anything better.
Folder on Iconia
That's correct - I am looking for the best and easiest way to create folders on the iconia screens to help me organize my apps better. Like how you can create folders on an android smartphone.
Any other app recommendations that can do this on the iconia are appreciated.
The Best Buy said that he thought honeycomb 3.1 would allow the creatiion of folders? Can anyone who knows more about 3.1 confirm this?
adwlauncher.ex has something similar now.

Anyone else tired of the Sub-par quality in the backgrounds you get when resizing them for TF3D....I Have converted and re sized some wallpapers while maintaining a good quality Background, I was happy with the results and figured i would share them with the community....
Any comments or replies, even requests would be appreciated
included are the raw files the converted file and the manila file, so no need to edit using manila editor. Just copy your favorite to the Windows directory

you can download the .zip attached and all files are included there....if you saved them directly off the post you need to use manila editor to edit your current background
Have you already did the background4All mod?
great work
I gonne use them and love to see more manila backgrounds.
if you need more wallpapers you can use mine.

There arn't many options yet.
You can however close programs.
Show processes, apps active, a status screen, renew isn't working yet. The file explorer, cut, copy, open, , new folder etc.It is finger friendly
I made some screen shots, below. I made them using my Omnia i900 on which it works as you can see.It looks promising.
I enclosed the earlier version. Look for updates on the above link.

Nice start
i came across this yesterday.. its ok..but I wont be using it while Resco explorer does a great job
Hi hendrixus
Thank you for sharing, very good idea to have file explorer and task man in one app!
A few observations for the file explorer:
- You replaced tapping by sweeping
- Sweeping from left to right (right to left is more like flipping pages)
- The arrow is on all items (it should be only for folders, and takes space from long file names)
- Scrolling is not sensitive or fast enough especially for big folders like windows.
I'll try to test the rest, will keep you posted. In all an excellent application
can you make it suitable to use with wm6.5.1?
if this is a taskmanager
skinable?
is this thing skinable? i was tryin to find find the proper files but to no avail anybody know where and what the files are
CEListFiles
From time to time I have the "pleasure" to see my WindowsMobile device struggle with low storage / low main memory. I get that low memory message and have no clue, what caused the problem, which program used the place up or what data files should rather be saved on memory card. Searching for files I can delete on the device itself is painfully slow, especially if I examine the Windows folder and it'S sub-folders. Using ActiveSync and the Explorer on the DesktopPC is better but not efficient too. So I wrote a little tool for myself I want to share with whomever it appeals to use it.

CEListFiles is a tool that displays the device's file/folder structure on your Desktop PC. There are a few special features:
it shows each folders size including all subfolders
it shows ROM files with a little "R" in the icon
it lets you export and import the file/folder structure so you can compare it to a previous state or have the file/folder structure analysed by a more experienced user without need to have access to the device
CEListFiles is easy to use:
connect your device to your DesktopPC via ActiveSync
select the folder you want to examine in the edit field ("/" for the all folders)
click the button bottom left
Attached you find the most recent version CEListFiles 1.5
If you like CEListFiles just buy me a beer.
I'm impressed: great work!
usefull for me too, let's test the speed
Is there a way to choose custom folders in Sense Gallery or Android stock Gallery or Photos (Android 2.1) instead of having it show ALL the photos and videos?
I have an archive folder which has thousands of pictures and I don't want it showing up every time because it takes a while to load.
Or is there an apk that'll do this?
+1 I'm not a fan of this either... You can hide certain ones if you press menu but nothing specific.
Can't believe some of the brainiacs over here haven't figured this out yet..
create a ".nomedia" file in the folder

It's been discussed here before too
Gallery Enabler should do the trick. I haven't tried it on 2.2 yet but it works great on 2.1.

Gallery Enabler does the .nomedia trick, only from your phone so you can enable/disable folders whenever you like.

I know about the .foldername trick.. I don't like it though because a file or folder with . (period) in the beginning will not show up on my mac of pc either.. (on PC I could say view hidden files.. which again, I don't like..on Mac I'd have to install Houdini or something)..
Also It's a hassle when I WANT it to show.. in which case I'd have to rename the folder. I'd rather using a normal file name and not have it show

Awesome.. that worked. Thanks a bunch.
I'm using Myn's Warm TwoPointTwo RLS5 with Launcher Pro Plus for starters. I'm wanting to create folders for games and settings and what not to clean up my screens. By default, I can only make certain folders such as bluetooth received files and some other bs which I don't really care for. I tried creating a new folder, but I wasn't able to create a name for it, it was just named "Folder". Anyways, I'd like to know how to rename the folders and flash over some folder icons. Would like to make folders for music, games, settings, and possibly like social or something for all my communication apps. Just wondered what folder icons were pretty sick and could match what I have right now. This is my screen.

You can rename it by opening the folder and clicking the name in the titlebar. I'm not sure you can assign icons though. However, you can download Folder Organizer, which will let you choose icons, custom sort items in them, and a bunch of other cool things. Either the free or paid version will do what you're after, though the full version adds some convenient features.
Yeah I downloaded Folder Organizer today and was messing around with the folder options which is what I was looking for. Now, how am I able to get different icon packs? I tried looking in the market, but all those icon packs require different programs. So I'm a little stumped.
I've generally found what I'm looking for in the icon packs that are included. I have the paid version -- I'm not sure if there are more in the paid version than there are in the free version. I think you can also grab icons from applications on your phone, or just choose images you find from any source.
