unrar this, you have backuped system in this rar so you have to use xrecovery to restore and full wipe. gl
what i have to do? i dont understand TT
Extract downloaded .rar to /sdcard/xrecovery/backup and in xrecovery do full wipe, then choose backup/restore => restore => cm7-65. Don't forget to backup your ROM first
i have to extract this file: cm7-65??
Yes. When you extract it there will be folder named cm7-65 with four files in it. Put that folder to /sdcard/xrecovery/backup

i have installed it! thaaanks!
I would recomend you XGin CyanogenShakira 2.0. It's CM7.0.2 Rom with everything working. Only the camera is limited to VGA and the videocam records in a low resoultion (to record videos you have to use videocam illusion). For me it's faster than Hackdroid v65 and battery life on one charging is longer.
Link to it's thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1089826
The only thing you have to do after extracting the folder is changing it's name from XGin 2.0 to XGin2.0.
I'm sorry for ma bad english.

Hello,
I'm facing a problem where I'm unable to apply UOT themes on my Gingerbread/Sense rom . I'm currently running InsertCoin CM7/A2SD+ v02, and extracted the framework_res, as well as SystemUI from the ZIP but still I cant get it to work.
No matter what I try nothing changes. Can anyone help me?
What's going wrong exactly?
EDIT: When you've chosen the stuff you want, check the Summary area and make sure there are no red boxes indicating something is incompatible/wrong

if you cook framework and systemui - it means you changing system theme. So after flashing UOT, select "System" theme in ThemeChooser.

unzip your ROM and put
-SystemUI.apk from the app_s folder
-framework-res.apk from the framework_s folder
from the unzipped ROM
load this 2 files in "UOT File upload" up
then cooked your file and download it.
download this file h ttp://dl.dropbox.com/u/18354786/black_circle-bat_flying.zip
then unzip your kitchen file and black_circle-bat_flying.zip.
put your kitchen SystemUI.apk and framework-res.apk.
copy this files in to the follow dirs:
-SystemUI.apk to the black_circle-bat_flying/app_s folder
-framework-res.apk to the black_circle-bat_flying/framework_s folder
then zip it, now you can flash this file in recovery.
the black_circle-bat_flying.zip works with InsertCoin CM7/A2SD+ v03 data++ version.
i have used the installscript from alexdiaz themediazGingerMix7.
i hope its allowed to use this script, if not ok then i delete the zip.
Sorry for my bad english
for gingerbread roms you need 3 files. the other one is com.htc.resources.apk
u need to upload the com.htc.resource file as well to make the theme work,
I am on insertcoin v0.8, everything works great, very smooth
Hi all this will look like a silly question but....
how do i install racht's roms?
They're all in Rar format, instead of zip so xrecovery can't detect the files. If i rename the files to zip it detects but fails on install.
_I know i'm still sleepy but what am i missing here?
Thanks.
extract the rar..put the extracted folder in your sd card at xrecovery/backup..
enter xrecovery and restore the folder..
uhh thanks
Thanks. I also a bit new to Xperia X8 and going flash my mom's phone.

hehe thank you all for help
i was only a bit confused as these roms where different from all the other i tested.
I think I've uninstalled live wallpaper stock app, I want it back for my x8 don't want to reflash , plz someone upload. thanx in advance...
you can download modded stock rom from development section and take the livewallpaper.apk then push it to /system/app/
don't forget to reboot your phone
thanks +1 , but how to extract the apk from that rom ?
just extract the ROM and there will be 3 folders (data,META-INF,system)
browse to system > app folder, there's a bunch of apk files
just take the LiveWallpaperPickers.apk then push it to your /system/app/ folder on your device
let me know if it solved your problem
well that's what I'm asking, how to extract the rom ?
just download the ROM that you're using (ex : update-GingerDX.v007.zip)
extract update-GingerDX.v007.zip isn't that simple?
i attach the apk from GingerDX.v7, try it and report if it works
thanx, but i'm using stock rom, And the file you gave me earlier is working fine, I had to push it to system/app
and then install it..
thanx
No need to install, just push it to /system/app/ and restart
So it solved your problem? Good to know
well i pushed it to system/app and restarted but no luck, then I had to install it...
i wonder how it can work in eclair
because it was v2.3.5
can u please provide the link to official android 2.1 update 1 , untouched ?
can't find it,
found it but it was made using xrecovery...
Ah,most of eclair ROM provided in development section is xrecovery backup file
I'll attach the apk from eclair when at home
may i know what version of eclair that you're running?
i'm on latest eclair 2.1 update 1
okay is there a way to extract things from xrecovery files ?
here's the apk from 2.1.1.C
thanx but the file u gave me earlier is working well.
Hi
Two days ago I installed Aura Rom, and it is fine because it supports my language (Arabic) and it works well. The problem with messaging (SMS) (MMS not tested) when I receive sms message, it comes twice as you see attachment please.
Can any body help me to solve this issue
Thanks
Responded to your PM. Also, I forgot to mention, if you have Root Explorer you can go into the system folder and delete either conversations.apk or mms.apk (conversations is blur, mms is aosp) to get rid of one. I am fixing this problem in 1.1.3.
Thank you so much
Sorry I don't have Root Explorer. but I see Rom Manager!!
Here is how I install your rom:
1- download your rom to my sdcard
2- entering to the recovery
3-Install zip from sdcard
4- select Aura zip file
5- yes
6- reboot
that all, is it correct method?????

Yes. Though, versions other than tenfar's or romracer's recovery will not actually perform a wipe.
i using linuxdx v03 and gingerdx v0.17, when i reboot my phone into xrecovery mode, xrecovery not work and phone power on norrmaly, what's problem? why not load xrecovery?
sorry for my bad english
please answer
thanks
It's because doixanh removed chargemon support in LinuxDX. You don't even need xRecovery, use CWM(touch touchscreen when you see GingerDX logo). But if some scripts don't work on CWM, convert them to Edify(http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Amend+to+Edify+converter).
thanks i using cmw but i want install timescape plugins for ginger dx, it's script xrecover.
I told you, use Amend to Edify script converter. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Amend+to+Edify+converter

Just press the thanks button!
what next ?
how does it actually work?
I went to File-Open....selected the xRecovery update file....It shows some logs in input and output tabs..... a new file is created in the folder with the converter with only the META-INF file part of the zip.
I dunno what is what and how to proceed from this point hereon
