I think I bricked my phone! - Galaxy 3 General

I was on Lestatious 1.9 Update and wanted to OC, so I flashed the Kernel present in the 1.8 update as one package, after that the phone did not go past the GT-I5800/Samsung Screen. It has been stuck there for almost 10 mins now.
I can still flash new ROM's, I tried 1.8.5 of Lestatious but it still gets stuck there?
Please help!

Flash stock XXJPM

Yeah, solution is:
Reflash complete ROM
I solved it by another way with working kernel, but i dont remember it

Is there a way to achieve OC'ability?
I tried InDroid 4.1 and it didn't have the option to OC in SetCPU, Neither did Lestatious 1.9.
Suggestions?

omg men u save my life literaly :') i succes on install the Darky's rom xtreme edition but the menu is the same as the froyo 2.2 :/ i thought it'll be more likely to the 2.3 gingerbread ... is there a way to have that menu style?
Glad I helped as for the ginger bread im not to sure I'd have a look around
Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk
download gingerbread launcher from the market. its free
sounds lik you installed the wrong version of speedmod kernel there is one from the i9000 models and one for the captivate.. the touch button drivers are diffeent and the symptoms you describe would be what happen if you install wrong kernel.

Flashed yesterday.. First impression was good everything worked great.. Suddenly without any reason apps kept force closing(faced the same issue on indroid 2.0).. Switched off..when tried to turn on was stuck on gt-i5801 screen..couldn't get into recovery as well though could get into download mode..
Flashed again..didn't get any fc's so far..overclock works great.. didn't notice any lags..

I have the same problem. It happens only after rebooting or when i turn off and turn on phone back. But i have GT I-5800. I think it can not be a hardware problem, because on stock XXJPM it was ok. It can not be a OC problem too, i try both OC and non OC version and i have this problem on both version. Probably is something wrong with app2sd because i had the same problem on Kyrillos 4.0 and 4.1.
BTW, Great ROM and everything else working great on both OC and non OC versions.
Can anyone hlep me solve this?
^^
Bad apocalypse Take Kyrillos and custom your Theme
But i have same problem on Kyrillos rom. Is even worst than Apocalypse because my phone freezes on Kyrillos rom OC or non OC.
And yes i try to flash rom couple of times but this not help.

What is the most stable and fast rom ?

I wanna know which rom is the best for the I5801 or I5800...the fastest, without lag an co.
Maybe an old version of a custom rom or another don't know !
What are you thinking about that ?
I use and will use lestatious. But install only non bleeding edge 2.2 kernel. BE heats battery.
Convert to ext4,4,2.

Yeah Lestatious are great but no update since a longtime so they are maybe outdated against kyrillos's roms (but they are little bit buggy)
Wait and see

You can install Kyrillos rom with fugumod 2.2 its fast and stable.

well thankx for trying
Lestatious is the best and stable rom
you can flash it with new Fugumod 2.4 beta 3 fix 1
lestatious 1.9 is the best from what i have tried, with 2.2 fugumod, 2.4 is stil beta so it has some bugs, most noticable battery drain
Yeah i use it now was my favorite and it's alwais the best
Sent from my I5801 using lestatious 1.9 JIT and O/c 1 Ghz
I run Kyrillos Rom 5.3 with fugumod 2.2 non OC
Its so stable, no lags, no freezes, battery lasts 3 days when normal use.
For me its the best rom, goin to flash 5.5 for absolute performance

@hakkun, a tip: When you flash v5.5, in setcpu, use the "ondemand" scaling. The battery will last more
Indroid 4.1 with fugmod 2.2 kernel is stable and fast.

[Q] POLL: What ROM do you use for the Apollo?

Hi folks,
Seems I'm having some troubles running and finding a good mod for my Apollo 5801.
I use Kyrillos 7, but seems my phone is hanging all the time when it reboots.
Could you please tell me
- what ROM do you use
- what version?
- what are the pro?
- what are the con? (what functions do NOT work?)
- how is speed?
- how is memory management?
Sorry to waste one reply...but this is not related to development, and should be asked in the general question....

thx.
ok, but it would be nice to see what mod is most succesfull, right?
kyrillos is good for me so far~
Im using stock jpd overclocked to 1400mhz with g3mod extreme and rooted. Its very quick
sent from rooted samsung gt-i5800 froyo
Kyrillos is most popular. I'm usiong v7.0. Try flashing a different kernel such as G3Mod Ultimate v1.5.
Your phone may not like the fugumod kernel for some reason so flash G3 mod since its one of the most popular and your phone should run smoother.
Im using Kyrillos rom v7 with G3 Mod 1.5.1 Ultimate kernel. It working like a charm, smooth like womans legs and fast like a rocket.

I' m using kyrillos' s rom 7.0 with g3mod Ultimate 1.5.1 kernel and supercharger v6 script.

none go for 1.5.1 or 1.5.0 for the moments 1.5.2 has decreased voltage which gives freezes
thanks a lot. should I factory reset before I flash?

So how do I install the Kyrillos with 3Gmod?
I tried changing the zImage in the Flash_this_as_one-package.tar
But my phone would not want to pick it up with Odin.
I'm thinking of installing the Destiny now...?
Any comments?

First, flash Kyrillos ROM, then do a partition with CWM (if You want), then flash a kernel.
