For on I do not think lte is all that so how fast have yall gotten on your phones?
3g
I've gotten up to 1200 kbps down. I don't really see where I would really take advantage of lte speeds, I can do whatever I want on 3g (Netflix, Pandora). Maybe for tethering but I don't have much use for it being around wifi all the time.

My 3g has never been more then 1500 kbps. Very slow compared to other carrier's 3g
Sent from my Optimized Inc using XDA App
I pull 1600kb's down when at work consistently.
Id like to thank everyone that helped me root, rom, & nand.
OMFGB, Slayher#27, CWM 3.0.0.8
I can get anywhere from 500 to 1500. Which has always been enough for me. I have only tethered a couple of times in a pinch and it seemed fine for that.
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
Wow. You guys are fast. I get about 70-150 kB/s here.
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
As in kilobytes right?
sent from planet snarf
Yes I should have been specific. I usually get around 1500 kbps sorry.
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App

Nothing scientific. Just what I get generally.

Did that too. A little better. But I only cracked 100 kB/s once. Even with a full signal. It's not that fast. Maybe someday we will get LTE down here. VZWs page says by the end of 2011. That's fine with me. I don't have an upgrade till mid 2012 anyway.

~960kb/s in my house
when I am at work in the morning I normally get about 2 mbs but one morning I clocked a whooping 2.59 mbs.
I have hit 2200 several times but tend to stay around 1500-1600 consistently.

Absolutely. I'm in DC, I typically get full bars where I live, now I'm getting 1-1x.

Be grateful for what you do have. At least you have some signal and the phone still makes calls.
During Katrina, only SMS & Nextel direct connect worked... sporadically. Calling in & out of the 504 area code was impossible. Once I was able to get to Atlanta, I was able to make calls again; though receiving calls was very hit or miss.
Well it is more or less a couple days after a hurricane....
They probably had some towers or main lines go down/knocked out

Well I did suspect that this would happen. I didn't expect for this to happen.
Verizon and ATT are fine in my area. Tmobile and Sprint seem to be the ones suffering (of course they are both the cheapest). Get what you pay for I guess.

Ditto.
For about a month or so it's been painfully slow here in southern CO too.
So bad that I can hardly use it.
I have been getting 100 kbps down and 200 kbps up here where I live. When I did a side by side test with a friend with a Verizon phone he was getting 1.3 mbps down and 400 kbps up. This is in central California.
Its been days now. Speed and signal has improved but still getting .03mbps downloads.
Sprint has me for another 10months =[.

Just interested in seeing some peoples speed results with specific carrier. I have Sprint, and I must say that speeds are suuuuper slow where I live. I just want to show people what a general good range of speeds are for carriers.
So I'll ask if you can post your speed test results, what carrier you have, along with City and state. Oh, and 4G or 3G.
Mine is from Riverside, CA (Sprint/3G)

But this testing I think depends (to get a real measure) of the area with good signal. That will give us a better results to compare it.
Strange that I'm located in okc but speed results prove best out of Kansas. Any thoughts? Also speed test says I'm closer to that location then I am to okc when I can see okc with my naked eye. Lol

I live in a smaller city on the border of US and Mexico so I new LTE was going to take a while. Last week I noticed I was getting it and I was surprised so I started doing speed tests and wow is our slow. Oh well I chalked it up to maybe testing in the area and whatever but it is not getting any faster. Here is a screenshot of my speeds and I know its accurate because when I do the test with wifi its accurate. What do you guys think?

check under your phone settngs and see what your signal strength is
your pic shows very week signal
go around your area and see what other speeds you get, might be in a bad area like me
try another speed test app, that one seems to take a lot longer to a host for me lately
I have asked, maybe you have passed the 5 gb they are slowing you down
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using xda app-developers app
If you are grandfathered in the unlimited plan, AT&T will throttle your data speeds down to Edge after a certain amount of data is used.
