Hi there.
Trying to install [10.May.11]***JW MIUI 1.5.6[Magldr/CLK][en,de,fr,ru...(15)]
I installed everything 3 times. Used the right versions, started DAF.exe in admin-mode and always got displayed the famous error:
Error happen
Read below for more information
Error Description: send partition data failed
Info: .\RSPL\RSPL.cpp (802)
Error Description:
Info: .\RSPL\RSPL.cpp (545)
Googled 2 days now, didn't find a solution but finding this one hint:
flash.cfg seems to be missing
Why isn't it in any MAGLDR113_DAF.rar? Does NEbody have this one? ...or isn't it gererated on my system.
Please help me! I want to go android.
Greets,
Michael

Are you getting this message when you are trying to flash MAGLDR or CWM?
I think you are trying to flash MAGLDR but not positive.
Thats right!
I get the right stuff displayed on my mobile "waiting for USB ...USB" and when I start DAF.exe the famous error message appears. There is no flash.cfg file.
Is this one automatically generated?
by the looks its got the files for a CWM install rather than a DAF install
Oh! Really? F...k! Then I need to figure out how to install the CWM way. ...stupid me. Okay... noob.
Thanks!!!

CWM is simple to install and use

I´ve got really big problems now -.- ****ing HD2^^
So here it is:
I used v2.4 as daily and changed for testing to WP7 =) This really worked great but in case of the leak of apps in store I wanted to change back to android, especially to Futurshocks Miui!
So now starts the problems. I formated and partitioned the SD Card ( to fat32 ) and tried to flash the new v3.
It doesn´t work.
Even the clockwork installation don´t work. After now 3 hours of getting freaky, I said to myself, reinstall wp7 ... this works at least -.-
But ... now nothing works!
Clockworks does install, but after that I can´t start it ... always sais "SD Kernel failure"
The Android Build ( every build ) gets a failure while installing, on the htc screen it´s making the partitions -.-
Same happens now if i want to install WP7, it stops while making partitions... theres the failure code "Error Description: flash write failed. Info: .\RSPL\RSPL.cpp (710)"
I am sleepy now, but I NEED A WORKING PHONE TOMORROW and this is **** !
Sry for some words, but actually my HD2 pisses me off"!
PS: MAGLDR 11 or 12 or or or doesn´t change the situation!
Have Vista installed...and run everything as administrator!
Idk much about all this but try downloading wp7 or android on a different sd card
Sent from my HD4.5 using Board Express
ok for now got android working!
I just reinstalled everything you could^^
From task 29, over orig. wm, radio, other wm6.5, mgldr -> android...
but this was the third time I did this steps all!
Oh hell man^^ But anyway for first it works again
Hello, this is my first time trying to flash a NAND ROM on my HD2. The ROM im trying to install is a CWM one not DFT, but when i try to flash the 400mb image, via usb flasher in magldr i get the following errors.

Make sure "Allow USB connections" in ActiveSync or WMDC on Vista/7 is unticked so it doesn't allow.

I'm sorry, but i tried what you suggested but I receive the same message. One thing i did forget to mention is that its an Apps2SD rom, do i necessarily have to partition the SD card or will that not matter. Another thing is if I ultimately decide to flash a DAF Rom, will this message have any effect on the DAF flash?
No that wouldn't matter at all. It would still recognize the USB and flash it. Judging by your name, are you using OSX?

indeed you need to install CWM and then flash your ROM in CWM

same thing happened with me the first time I flashed anything,
First, flash a ROM using MAGLDR USB Flasher, or DFT whatever,
Second, you have CWM downloaded, make sure you actually have copied the 'copy to sd root' folder to your SD
next you should be able to flash CWM in USB Flasher mode again, reboot and check your ROM still works.
If it does, then boot to MAGLDR, scroll down to AD Recovery, and install the ROM from .zip
Oh and make sure its actually a HD2 ROM, I tried installing a desire ROM and got a similar error to what you're getting.
I recommend Ultimate Droid 3.1.1!

Thanks for that useful information , ill have to try that rom out. But i figured out what went wrong. Ok so i downloaded the .zip from the apple store, since my phone was useless and i tether it to my comp since i dont have access to high speed land internet but i do get hspda, so anyways when the download finished, safari automatically decompressed it and thats not exactly what i wanted, so i compressed it myself thinking it would be the same thing. Well i re-downloaded the rom today with chrome and that seemed to worked perfectly. The only problem i have now is that idk why my phone is saying out phone storage, when i have the 1024 hd2, and apparently i didnt format my sd card properly so it doesnt see it as internal storage. So now i have to fix that, any more suggestions would be highly appreciated.
If you need to, back up everything from your sd, then use this program called SD Formatter, I think that's it, Google it! And then format to FAT32, mine used to only show 128mb of the 16GB sd, did that and it showed it all, really good program

hey guys i dont wanna sound like a dumbass or anything

thanks alooooot guys and i appreciate it in advance.!
the first one is quite simple (i think you use winmo). download and unrar it.find the folder android and copy this folder to the root of your sd.then in phone explorer go to sd-find folder android-click clrcad then haret-you'll see something like 'starting linux'.it may take half an hour at the first loading.each time you reset you go to winmo,so in order to go to android you'll do clrcad-haret.
the second ron is a nand rom.for that you must wipe winmo.
i forgot winmo is windows mobile
im already on android running 2.3.3. with sense ..any way i can get these two roms to work through android?
please and thanks
please guys, if any of u could help ..im really tryina get at least one of these working. please and thanks
do you have mgldr in phone? i should also say that these roms aren't stable yet. their camcorder doesn't work properly and tyey have graphic glitches(whit horizontal stripes)
yeah thats what i read but i wanted to try either way
what could u suggest that has sense, and is something somewhat advance? 720p or 3d... and that new sense 3.0 lockscreen?
thanks mate!

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1185087
i can say these two are the best as sense 3 roms.they record 720p but laggy and only can be watched by paid app vplayer.you can find necessary informations in their op. for sd rom you can use the one you mentioned in op.
im sorry to sound like an idiot again..
but how do i install these two? because im more familiar with the ZIP way ,where i just copy them to sd card..go to boot menu and load them
thank u again mate!
these are zip files. do you know how to make nand partition? if not download and install this tool. download the rom you choose and put to your sd. make an sd-ext partition of 1 gb in sd (if you don't have one).then ask again when you are ready.also say which rom you have chosen.

i got mgldr, i got it when i first flashed my phone from windows..
so is that mean i download the magldr version and just run it thru bootloader?
no in mgldr you dont use bootloader to flash rom.first download and install this tool to your pc http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1090783
if you have an eu hd2 you should also have an sd-ext partition of at least 1 gb. meanwhile download mgldr version of the rom and be careful if it is eu or tmous.put it to your sd.when you complete these turn here again.

alright so i tried just loading it into bootloader, and it got stuck on the htc; quietly brilliant screen
now i got the hd2 toolkit.. what do u flash with it?
you can flash many things with it. now you'll make a nand partition. you didn't say but i think you have ah eu hd2 (512 mb). if not warn me. now connect your phone to pc. go to mgldr menu(i hope it still works) choose flasher.see usb flasher...usb.then in nand toolkit choose mgldr repartition-choose partition size 'custom'-choose cache size 5-at left bottom choose repartition.write 240 in the opening window.
after installation complete in mgldr menu choose ad recovery-install zip from sd-choose zip from sd-find your rom.zip. after installation is complete reboot.
nope i have a tmobile us hd2
i edited my former post according to tmous.follow and ask for help if you stuck.
this is what it says at the end in HD2 toolkit:
An error has occurred
Read below for more information
Error Description: USB init failed

and before that it said.. the program cant start because RAPI.dll is missing from ur computer. try reinstalling the program to fix this program.
help???
in mgldr menu(list with 12 choices) did you go to usb flasher choice
Hi, does any one know what I missed out when I flashed?
1- Download HD2 toolkit from here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1090783
2- Connect your device and boot into MAGLDR and choose option 5. USB Flasher.
3- On the toolkit, from top choose "MAGLDR Repartition" then from the left panel choose the rom system size you want and write in the cache size then click on "Repartition" from the down panel.
4- After it finishes, reboot your phone and choose option AD Recovery and it will work.

Thanks for your reply. I have been having problems with my SD. Do you think there's something wrong with my SD 1GB card? I partitioned it early and then it said I have only 468 mb so, I formatted it (using Panasonic SD Formatter) and now it sometimes reads and sometimes doesn't? It was working perfectly before the Partition.
Maybe, I don't know. you can remove both partitions and try it again (use EASEUS PARTITION MANAGER) . After you remove them, create an ext3 partition with a size of your choice (preferably 512 MB) using the same program and try again.

Do you recommend any roms? I use wifi, data, music and something that looks good and for a novice like me, easy to install.
It depends on what system/cache size you picked when you used "MAGLDR Repartition" ?

I am using this rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1141448
150MB partition layout with 45MB Cache. But this can be changed I think.
I also have a 1GB SD Card.
Yes do what I said earlier with "150mb system" and "45 mb" cache.
After that put the_rom.zip on your sdcard and install it from recovery.

Yea that has been done from when you suggested about AD.
What roms do you recommend?
I recommend the following roms:
-HyperDroid 3
-NDT MIUI Development
Both require 150mb system and both are non-sense.

For Roms it depends on what you prefer.
For Sense 3.0 Roms I am personally using EnergyRom here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=733649
For Regular Sense Coredroid is the best in my opinion: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=926507
For Regular AOSP stock Android Typhoon is an awesome choice here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=933951

chrisrj28 - you have given me the best of the roms available, thank you. I look for style and something which is good to look at.
I choose the Core Droid HD2 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=926507
Before I do anything, can I ask when I use DAF.exe it says -
1) "An error has occurred
Read below for more information
Error Description: USB init failed
Info: .\RSPL\RSPL.cpp (736)
Error Description: EnterBootloader missing
Info: .\RSPL\BootLoader.cpp (176) "
2) And in the instructions I downloaded it says " 15. Select minimum (512m) maximum (1024m). Your choice which one to use. Recommended is the 1024m, then press call button (left)."
Doe it matter what Size SD card I have?

Yes Coredroid is an awesome build and I would have stuck with it but I prefer Sense 3.0. Now as for your questions, the error with running the Daf.exe for your recovery sounds like it may not be connecting to your USB. In MAGLDR you selected the USB Flasher option right? Then when you connect to your computer it should have installed the drivers to recognize your phone.
And as for your sdcard, it does not really matter what size it is as long as you have room for whatever size Ext partition you choose. It also depends on what you plan on putting in the FAT32 option.

Why do you prefer Sense 3.0 as opposed to Coredroid? I am just curious and would help me to choose best suited to me.
Well Sense 3.0 is more appealing visually as it adds some nice 3D effects and such to Sense. But it is still not fully stable as it's Gingerbread based and there are some driver issues, but I like to have the newest on my phone, even if it's not the most Stable.
EnergyRom is good for me as I have been using EnergyRoms since my TP2 with WinMo. There are very few bugs and the ones that are there I don't really care about.
As for Coredroid, it's Froyo based and has Sense 2.1 which is fully stable, everything works like ti should but once again it's Froyo
That's just my personal preference, prior to Sense 3.0 Coredroid was my daily driver

Hi all,
I'm thinking of upgrading from boy_ppc NODO (partitioned with android 2.3.7) to Pdaimatejam ROM 7740 Mango. I have a couple questions before trying it.
1. Do I have to remove my partition ( put the entire 16 gb back to fat32)
2. Or can I just instal Mango as is?
3. I was also thinking of using ICS as my new android OS...... is there one that works well without bugs?
Thanks for your help
1. Not needed. If you get stuck then try it.
2. you can install Mango as is. BUT if it gets stuck then do a full wipe
3. ICS has a few bugs which will take time to iron out...
Good luck !
