[Q] Clear.fi black screen - SOLVED - Acer Iconia A500

hi guys,
as i understood, clear.fi is only link in the browser, right?
when i start clear.fi app, i see black screen with address in left upper corner:
- file:///android_asset/en_DE/MainPage_1280x800.html
what could be wrong?
looking at the address, i think it could happened because i used More Locale and added a custom one with language EN and country DE.
Is it possible to fix it somehow?
EDIT: SOLVED
i've looked into clearfi.apk and there is no such a folder en_DE so i changed the country using More Locale to US and now it works.

Random tweaks/regedits Wish List

just messing around with this during the last week theres a few things I'd like to change--My guess is it can be fixed with reg edits but I'm not very good at those so if anyone has any ideas how to do em:
- Set a default panel on startup
- Task manager not loading in spb panel
- Turn off on screen keyboard in landscape mode
- Turn off touch pad in camera (I keep switching from cam to vid on accident, vice versa)
- media panel recognize more video types--for example detecting AVIs and opening them up in coreplayer, similar to how it opens media player for WMAs
Uhh thats all I can think of atm
Both battery status and time in the taskbar at the same time

change keyboardlayout.. swedish keyboard on english sw
I would like to keep threaded SMS but see the full timestamps for messages. Now every message that is older than 24 hours will only get a datestamp.
I have searched for a way to change that, but haven't succeeded.
Regards,
Michael

never mind, i found it...
the key to change was HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\KEYBD\CurLang and for Swedish the value should be 1053
Make new (unread) messages in folders appear as unread at the today screen.
I now have to check every folder (except the inbox) manually.
bump, if anyone with reg editing experience can help me, or has any pointers

how to change current location

ive just got my new HTC touch2 and i cannot find away how to change my current location on home screen, it says rockville? im in england. also is there a way to change the background on the other screens apart from the home.
thanks
For the first question - i succeeded to change location to my town after i installed Weather Update from HTC site, but if your phone is operator one you need to hack it before that (HSPL).

To answer your other question: to change your homescreen and other tab screens use M2DC application.

[Q] Quick Select contact by using the A,B,C gone after NoDo

Hey guys.
Hoping someone can help me out here.
After the NoDo update, quick selecting / browsing contacts is gone. Or rather, it's still there, but all letters but A is grayed out.
I'll try to clarify:
I go into the Phone selection from the Home screen, tap the "People" icon, then tap "A". The alphabet pops up, but everything is grayed out besides "A". The same happens when I enter trough the "People" selection on the home screen.
Is there a way to remedy this, or should I contact WP7 support?
In advance, thanks!
Did ya check yr people's list... Phaps it's empty
Only "greyed out" letters i have are those with no corresponding name
My Peoples list contain some 200 contacts. And no, they don't all have names beginning with an A.
I had the same problem pre-nodo. One day it just wouldn't work any more. All letters were grayed out.
The only thing that helped was a hard-reset, which I think is pretty painless with WP7.
This is a bug, which has already been posted in the Microsoft WP7 help forums, but there was no solution in there besides resetting.
I have/had the same problem on my Omnia 7 in Denmark, stock. The problem persists on NoDo.
Maybe this "temporarely fix" helps on NoDo for you too?
Go to Settings -> Region & language -> System Locale
If I have mine set to Danish, I have the same problem as you, only "a" in the letters list - if I change it to English (US), then the contacts are sorted by their "real letters...

Thanks a lot! This fixed the problem without the hassle of doing a reset.
Cheers!

phone number display format problem

Hello got a problem. I am using the stock rom and I have a little issue here.
The system displays all numbers in US style, regardless my locale settings. Whatever language I choose it will display the same.
Also tried morelocale 2, didn't help.
I am using exdialer however when somebody calls me it will show the number in usa style. Also messages are shown that way.
Seems to me like it's a system wide settings, is there a way to set up all numbers to show without spaces?
Thanks in advantage
problem still here. tried all kind of locale settings, with or without apps. nothing ...

Adding wesite url to home screen

Just been getting a Samsung S5E tablet I have always used chrome but on trying to add a website url to the home screen it only created the icon to the domain url eg when I try to add this url https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-51768274 the icon crwate the link to bbc.co.uk only. I add this via the 3 dots at the top left then click add to home screen.
This works fine in my Huawei phone using android.
Has anybody else got this issue or does everyone else manage to get this to work.
Thanks in advance
