[REQ] CyanogenMod 6.1 Beta2 for Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000 Working on the Vibrant

Hey people
I was wondering if some body can port this ROM over... I've been hearing about this ROM when I was still on windows (TP2) I seen Noobnl try to do something with it. But I heard he quit (Great DEV)... Okay back to what I was saying I was playing with it a little bit with his release. Seems like its banging
I seen this on the Vibrant forum with a Port Link and was wondering if somebody-anybody who knows how to port if they can port this over

[ROM] means this post contains a rom. not a request. those have a different title all together.

I believe we can't port over the Vibrant because it's GSM and we're CMDA..

Also.. Your title is a little misleading; you shouldn't put ROM in brackets if you arn't launching a ROM

Also, no CM rom because Sammy hasn't given us source code for drivers and whatnot.

The other thing about this post that i find just staggeringly stupid is that if you look down a little bit on most days you'll see noobnl's posts about 6.1 betas for the epic and how hes working on it, which only goes to prove that the search feature is either dead or non function for the Epic section of the forums, or somehow the words get distorted when other people that the poster and the literate read them.

HAHA, love it. Yeah I was commenting the other day on how google's servers are apparently down. Perhaps we could start a thread "[ROM][FIX][BUG][REQ][WIKI][STICKY][SEX][PLEASE][STOP] SEARCH FUNCTION BROKEN!!!!!!!!!" to let everyone know that they will need to just man up and create a new thread every time they have a question about anything, no matter how stupid, useless, or even already answered.
I will work on setting up a petition for the new thread?

i would say someone should sticky a post with some ettiquite (cant spell since my work's IE doesnt have spell check lol) "tips and tricks" kind of like the forum's rules that you have to read when you sign up, except it would probaly be moved to the general sub forum because it has nothing to do with development and probally be ignored worse than XDA's rules.

If it's been posted and answered before and it bothers you that much, just move on. Forums are a place for helping and spreading knowledge. Contribute something, or don't say anything at all...

We are contributing by trying to *bully* some sense into a format(forums) that was tried and true, within our circles, until those who probably don't fit into anything we do here, (just want hand outs) come and muddy the waters....
I go to a good number of forums daily, and this nonsense is only on xda.. There are forum rules, if people can't live by them, they shouldn't post...

@thedicarlos, its ok to ask questions, thats what were here for, however its always good practice to research the forum before asking. check the stickies, do a quick search, etc. chances are someone has already asked the same thing and recieved the answer.

Yeah...I hate it when these dorks rag on you for asking a simple question know that one day they asked questions themselves...every question can't be answered by searching, and even still, if it's an Aria question why not have the answer right here in the Aria forum instead of diving through many different forums to get a simple answer.
But to answer your question. In my opinion Gingerbread is not "much" different than Froyo so I would say that yes it should be powerful enough to run it. Froyo on the Aria runs great and they say that Gingerbread is faster and smoother, so I can only believe that the experience should be the same on the Aria. Time will tell.

I'm just horsing around. I'm not offended and I'm just busting ass in return! I moderate several forums on various subjects and it's funny how people love to flame the newcomers who ask questions that have been answered before. Some questions were answered 10 years before. This is a little different and I will try to read through as many backposts as possible to get a feel for the subject matter!
I must admit I'm a newbie and needs to learn a lot, but some people and threads on the HTC Forum make me feel like Einstein!!!!!!

I see there is some folks working on getting HoneyComb to run on the HD Desire - anyone planning on trying to get it to fly on our beloved HD2's??

yo i second that its running on the g1 for christ sake im by no means a dev and have no idea what it would take to get it up and running im just curious as to why it hasnt been attempted ???

Team Royal has it booting on the mytouch 4g. but it is a work in progress and i might add they are kicking arse.

Actually chiefz reloaded is rumored to have a full port working for the hd2. From what I was told today they need to get external audio working and it will be up. Hopefully in the next couple days.

It has already been booted on the hd2, but it is so broken it isn't worth it. I mean, it's fast and stuff, but it doesn't even have a phone function. Practically nothing works (camera, data, wifi).

I am very curious about the port, I've s seen nothing about this on the hd2 except for this thread, and i posted a thread on honeycomb a while ago. all I'm saying is I'm patiently waiting for a working port for our hd2's for all our devs to tear into I love xda

Evil just poked his head back in here when he heard about sense 2.1 leak.

The bigger question is whatever happened to enomther I thought they took donations to get him a mt4g and I've havnt seen anything from him....not trying to be disrespectful at all, just wondering what's going on?

Thats really cool, hopefully we can get a good 2.1 sense running.

Enomother was having life issues I have a g2 so I run his rom on it. He said was working on it but life caught up to him. So he says he stay away from android for awhile. Just because we donate to get him a phone doesn't mean he actually has to produce something for us.

I have to point out that he wasn't rude to you at all. He stated the facts as they are. Maybe..just maybe you should read what he wrote then read what you just replied (as quoted above for your viewing convenience) and realize that you're the one that got rude for no reason.

tried all roms but cant find proper one.

there was a rom in development section but the developer of the rom got bored because of the members who ask for eta a lot and accusing him of detching his own rom development then he upgraded his mobile phone and moved along and leaved a reply in the rom thread that if he was able to fix problems in the rom he wouldnt do it because of those people who just think developers are machines they dont get sick they dont get tired they dont have real life and this is completely wrong they are not bound to update their roms or make another updated but they do it because they like to do it and for the sake of the legend (HD2) to get the most out of it

In other words, Sbryan was sick of douches like you (kslakhani) who just kept asking him to fix things and make the ROM work. You really don't appear to understand XDA at all, you probably shouldn't come on here too much.

First of all I hardly asked anybody to fix things.
I always appreciated their efforts and u know its up to them whether they wanna do it or not.

There's no real Sense 4 ROM for HD2 yet, but there is one for Desire. All we need is one man who would like to spend his time porting that **** to our device. Want it? Do it yourself or wait for someone else who wants it too and will do it for you.
