Hi..sorry for my nob question...
but how to
Instruction for manual installation:
- Remount /system as rw
- Copy the attached x8gesture.ko below to /system/lib/modules
- Change hw_config.sh in your /system/etc, add this code at the beginning
Code:
insmod /system/lib/modules/x8gesture.ko #dx: add gestures??..
further details??...i nid help please..everytime i run my terminal i first use the code insmod /system/lib/modules/x8gesture.ko #dx: add gestures...it init module n bla bla bla failed ..( file exists)...i need a step by step guidance..sorry for my noob.....i am new to android.....please guide me step by step...on how to edit the hw_config.sh??,,please...
Copy x8gesture to system\lib\modules, if you can do that its mean you are already mounted system as rw... If not tap the button "mount r/w" on top of for example root explorer(recomended), and then copy it.
Now go to system\etc and long tap on hw_config.sh, chose open in text editor.
Add fallowing line at begining:
insmod \system\lib\modules\x8gesture.ko
Restart phone and thats all. Hope you understend it now.
Wysłano z X8 z użyciem Tapatalk
hmm...but whr to add the line??..before the line of vibrator configuration??...u mean a new paragraph??n wat about tis code?#dx: add gestures
oh no...finnally i noe y....no multi touch is gonna use on my phone for now....coz i juz checked...
For devices that are unable to use x8gesture, try this command in your phone (either with terminal or with adb shell):
Code:
dmesg | grep "cyttsp-i2c"
If you have something like this, that means your X8/X10mini is using Cypress and therefore it will not be supported by x8gesture:
Code:
<6>[ 4.185259] cyttsp_i2c_probe: Successful registration cyttsp-i2c
In this case, because I don't have X8 with Cypress digitizer, I cannot do anything for you guys. I'm sorry.
..........my output is....the same...:'(..is there any modified pinch zoom for me?
i just checked if i have cypress and when i write dmesg | grep "cyttsp-i2c" it says: <4>[ 2.490494] cyttsp-i2c: probe of 0-0024 failed with error -12
so do i have cypress or not?
C:\Documents and Settings\Komp\Pulpit\Xperia\ADB>adb shell

refer to the x8 gesture post to find out..and if you have cypress, that good too because cypress digitizer supports real multitouch...while synaptic only have pinch zooming..if only we could have one of the dev to create a multitouch module for cypress just like the x10minipro which have real multitouch now..

There was a talking in one of the threads about doixanh will try to do it, but ONLY IF he got a Cypress phone. So I think he should open a PayPal, and we can donate some money for his new Cyp. X8! This is the least we can do! And we _should_ do, because he made us really good modules/ ROMS etc, so it is our duty to support and admit his hard work! Respect the devs! This is the keyword!

How to delete OC module? I want to be back to 600Mhz
Sent from my Nexus-X8 using Tapatalk
you need to delete x8oc.ko in system/lib/modules.
I might be wrong but:
Remove the line of OC module from hw_config.sh
And delete file x8oc.ko from modules
delete the file x8oc.ko at the folder /system/lib/modules/

Hi everybody i am just asking what is the best multitouch (dualtouch) module?
Ur new huh?
If you have synaptics : use x8 gesture by doixanh
If you have cypress : use multitouch module by andyx
Hope i helped
Wyslalem z mojej zajebistej x8
There are two types of digitizers. Each one can run a module created by either doixanh or andyx. You can't choose whatever module you want. You will choose the module according to your digitizer.
You have Cypress - you use Andyx's module
You have Synaptics - you use Doixanh's module

To see what digitizer you have, do this:
Open "Terminal Emulator" on your phone and type
dmesg | grep "cyttsp-i2c"
If you have something like this:
<6>[ 4.185259] cyttsp_i2c_probe: Successful registration cyttsp-i2c
...You have Cypress Digitizer.
If you get something like this:
[2.520489] < 4 > cyttsp – i2c: probe of 0-0024
failed with error - 12
...You have Synaptics Digitizer.
If nothing shows up after you type that, try writing it without the quotes. If still nothing shows up, reboot your phone.
unfortunately i have cypress
can you write me how to install the multi-touch?

You have Synaptics which is capable of fake Dual-Touch thanks to doixanh.
Go to the link and follow the instructions there on how to install it.

Was meaning virtual device using android SDK just as a way of testing a rom. Setting up a virtual device giving it SGA properties and testing. As you may have figured I'm not a dev just a reader and hoper. I got the impression from Jusada's guide re rom making that the SDK was the place to go when developing a rom. But as I said I know only what I read my experience with SGA is entirely as a user.

You have it in JetMOD. And be carefull with trying build.prop now without custom recovery. You can get stuck on logo, like I did. And then you need to flash fw again. On TWRP or CWM you can do backup, and restore when you want.

I just get in one, added those lines with Solid Explorer. Maybe I should change permissions... And I give up modding untill TWRP or CWM.
Use root explorer to add the lines. So root is needed.
I use JB and it word great. It is safe to do it, no bootloops ore anything.
Just copy/paste after the last lines in build.prop and reboot.

Is it possible that a bootloop only appears if you remove the very last blank line (a line without content) in the build.prop?

@VooDoo` yes, u must leave that blank line, and never use notepad in windows to edit unix files, use notepad++ instead or do it inside android
debug.sf.hw=1 line is on default build.prop so it's unnecesary, the second one is like go to developer settings and enable "force gpu rendering"?
Im trying with this parameter:
Code:
debug.hwui.render_dirty_regions=false
setting this to true, like this:
Code:
debug.hwui.render_dirty_regions=true
can anyone confirm if its giving less lag?
