Hi all I had a question I would loved answered. Does anyone know a way to backup the playlist on the stock music player? Whenever I try a new rom I wipe and bam no more playlist
Does anybody have a backup of the acer multimedia folders or know where it can get it?
I forgot to backed it up and don't want to reinstalling stock rom to get it. Thanks a lot!
Recently put WP7-Mango on my HD2 and liking it so far. Actually a lot which surprise me a bit coming from Android.
I've discovered that even though I have a Windows Live ID setup both on the phone and Zune, and the update process works, it's not actually backing up the phone's data to C:\Users\<>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Phone Update as it should be. Zune has the playerID up in the corner. It's creating a key folder and properties.xml file, but that's about it. There's never buttons for backing up or restoring appearing with the update.
Zune knows about my app purchases and stuff but just isn't doing the backup... and thus no ability to restore. Is there some way to trick Zune in to doing this? I haven't connected it to any other computer. Do I need to tell Zune to "forget" this phone device and start over??
Ive noticed the same issue and also Xune is not storing my playlists, they are getting removed from both Xune and from the phone
Anyone have a solution to this at all?

Actually yes, there is one, which I discovered by accident.
In the Update Cab Sender there is an option to do a backup first, followed by an installation. If you use a cab that you already have installed, it will first do the backup and then the cab installation will fail because it's not installing anything new. But there are no ill effects from this that I can see, so you get a free, Zune compatible backup in the process.
I apparently deleted my amazon music and video apk's while fiddling around last night and now on my bookshelf the music/video tabs don't work. I am wondering if the stock apps are available anywhere to reinstall or if I'll just have to deal with it until I reset?
It's my own fault for not having a back up (I thought I had run a titanium backup batch). It's not a major issue, but I just like to have everything working. TYIA for any help!
Probably you need to re-flash a stock firmware, they're available in the development forum.
Hello
I restored a nand backup that included whatsapp, unfortunately it didn't give me the restore from google Drive option after the sms verification, so all my medias are gone while on the cloud.
I also installed whatsapp twice between yesterday and today so I think whatsapp won't let me again for 24h that's why I wanted to see if I can restore a whatsapp Drive backup without the need of re-installing
You can, but this will install media files but not the conversations. You really need to re-install whatsapp
Nondroid or TitaniumBackup does not restore whatsapp correctly! For some reasons you should verify the account again and it would not be able to use local or cloud backup to restore them.
you should have made a backup in Google Drive before you install WA in New device, also install WA in New device from PlayStore or install from the APK then it will restore the cloud backup correctly,
FYI I've used oneplus switch for my new OP6T and I didn't select WA but it has copied it's data,
Conversations were restored byt not medias, I guess I will have to uninstall and reinstall from playstore.
Media are not backed up, they are stored locally, if you have set the WhatsApp media folder to be stored in Google cloud then you can have them again. It's one of the few apps that don't tolerate restauration. Installation is the only way to have a fully functional app.

And can you restore medias from google Drive without the uninstall reinstall thingy?
Look in Drive app if they are present, if they are there you can access them yes, on the cloud or by downloading them
