I had unrooted to HTC version 1.32.720.1 ... In this version i am not getting any OTA updates ... but for version 1.32.720.2 there is a OTA update which will change the version to 1.32.720.3 and from 1.32.720.3 there is another OTA update to 2.05.720.1 .
I got these details using the FOTA Fetcher (found here ) .
So i had tried the 1.32.720.2-1.32.720.3 OTA update from the recovery. But it failed on assert statement ( this is beacause i was using 1.32.720.1 ) .
As i had the 1.32.720.2 version OTA .. can i modify the update-script in it to remove the assert things ( assert will fail as i am using 1.32.720.1 ) and sign it back to apply the patches ..
Please help me to sign the modified OTA update ...
I had used the android kitchen to sign it .. but it failed on verification .. invalid signature
Please help .... I want to give the phone to service center for some problems ..
Just use a GoldCard to flash it with a different RRU.

There is no update available for 1.32.720.1, even if you try from phone. I've already tried
I'm also in same position like you . hey can you give me direct links of the following OTA's 1.32.720.3 and 2.05.720.1
Ya I m also from india... I have updated my phone 2 times.... once was some bug fix update and once was sofware update1... Try using airtel internet with settings 'mobile office'... bcz other carriers only provides u gprs but with this settings u can run pure internet on your phone... so try using airtel's mobile office...

Its not about internet connectivity issue(which you've faced). Its more over version issue.
Most of the devices which sold india had 1.32.720.2 as the software version, and there are 2 updates available for this(1.32.720.3 and 2.05.720.1). This 2 updates only you got and even i also got, ofcourse installed successfully. But the problem described bt smartvinu and also me is, as described in the first post of this topic,
We both have rooted our phone by downgrading the software version to 1.31.xxxx. But now we wanted to unroot for various reasons and currently openly available ruu is 1.32.720.1 not the 1.32.720.2 one . So the 2 updates available in HTC site wont work for this, since the version required for the update is 1.32.720.2, but we've is 1.32.720.1

Use that to Unroot. I'm from India and that is what I used. It doesn't really make a difference.
Then, just check for updates when you are connected over WiFi
EDIT: I just checked. I have 2.03 when I run Software Update it says "No updates available"

Anyone know what the baseband is for the betunits for AT&T? Im running Stephen's 1.2 and would like to revert back. Dun worry, .pkg will be shared as soon as I get it.
OMG your 2.2 is here drove me crazy.. then I saw the for some....

There are plenty of threads here and on modaco about downgrading...but my guess is as soon as it's available and people start installing it...it will only be a matter of HOURS before it's .pkg up for all different versions and markets.

It's starting out for Streaks bought UNLOCKED only...not sure if you unlocked it afterwards if that applies too.
Then upgrades for Streaks locked to various carriers (O2, ATT, Rogers, etc.) will become available beginning early Dec.
ive got a factory unlocked streak... EU, OEM2.1, running the leaked O2 leaked 2.1 but im not able to update, currently in AU
Might have to downgrade to 1.6 i think ?

Q. Can I run the update, even if I don’t get the official notice, by copying the URL from someone else’s device?
A. No, the final link to download the 2.2 Froyo update will be non-functional unless the browsing session is initiated via the software update mechanism on the Streak device. This is because the software update application in the device communicates with the OTA update server to authenticate the update session. The link to the update is dynamically set to download the correct software package based on the device that is connecting to the update server. Please wait for the software update notice to display on the device itself, when your version of the software is ready for the upgrade. You can continue to check for updates manually by going to Menu->Settings->About device->System Updates which will connect to the update server and correctly check for an update.

I just received a 4 mb update after having the tab for almost two weeks, im not sure what it was probably just a maintenance update. Does anyone happen to know exactly what it was?

Go to settings and see what firmware version you have?
probably preparing for the next big push:
http://www.engadget.com/2011/07/03/galaxy-tab-10-1-update-coming-soon-ushers-touchwiz-into-the-hon/
And when you get it let us know your impressions, lots of people like myself are still sitting on the fence.
i didn't receive anything yet waitingfor touchwiz for trying it only
just did the update manually myself. Its a 4.14mb file. It reboots and installs (something). When the tab finally finishes the install and reboots it tells you its updated to build # (??? The message cleared too fast for me to catch it) it starts with a "P" though.
Goto Apps -> Settings -> About Tablet - You'll see the system details towards the bottom
The big question is will it take the ability to root away?

Hmm dunno. I never checked build b4 the update. Still have no clue what it updated either. If anyone else is willing to test just do the update in settings/about/system updates
Btw im not rooted either
Were you rooted before? And if so did the update remove root?
I was rooted before and I'm still rooted after the update. The only problem I'm having is that my Market Enabler no longer loads at boot so I can get paid apps.

Then i tried to sign up thru Samsung website (US), i was able to sign up for an account and after that, i retry signin thru device but still got the same problem!
can anyone give me so hint / help with the sign in / up?

For those with a 10.1v - you're missing the Samsung Account option in Apps -> Accounts -> Add Account - so any samsung updates have to come from another source.
Just thought id let people know that the new market is rolled out to UK.
Im using Darkyy 10.1 at the moment and my market has updated to the new version when i loaded it up.
And for those that want to avoid the upgrade, just freeze "Market Updater".
You can always unfreeze at a later date.
If you went ahead with the new market and don't like it, you can still roll back by "uninstall updates" in settings and then freeze the market updater...

Market should get updated irrespective of device name running android 2.2 or higher. If you havnt got update.Kindly check following
1)Ensure you have a good data connection or wifi.Slow and improper internet connection wont be able to update
2)Goto setting>application>manage>all>market
There you will have option to uninstall update.Select it
If uninstall update is not available, then select clear data

How big is it ?? Just wondering, because if its available tonight ( and small enough ), I'll try over 3G. Otherwise, I'll have to wait until tomorrow. This time, I plan on making a copy of it. Here's the link for those that need it.

After installing this, you should be able to unlock the bootloader and do pretty anything you like to the phone. Unless Bell went out of their way to modify the Motorola code and *not unlock* the bootloader. In which case we're all screwed.
Ok. I got the update screen at about 3:30PM. I'm in Newfoundland by the way, so of course that's Newfoundland time.
I was rooted and had a number of apps frozen in Titanium, so I defrosted all system apps and used Gingerbreak to unroot (which is what I used to root).
I downloaded root checker and it says I no longer have root.
I took a screen shot of the update screen, which tells me the update is 145.7MB. (see attached).
I'm about to head out for an hour, but am going to click Download and let it run while I'm gone.
Does anyone think I should take any additional precautions before installing? (Given that I was rooted and had apps frozen.)
Is there anything I do to help the user community here? I'm fairly technically capable, but not a lot of experience with Android. I could follow a decent walk-through though.

That's weird because I m in montreal and I called Bell.
They said that they have no news about updates beside the one in june !
They then transfered me to motorola directly and even they said the update is not ready yet !!
