Hey everyone!
My girlfriend recently got a Samsung Galaxy 551 and she wants to exchange it with my HTC Hero.
However, I'm being skeptical about it since I hate mirco USB and much rather have mini USB. Also, my camera is 5mp while the galaxy has 3.5.
Then again.. the CPU, Ram and some other stuff are supposedly better.
Please tell me your opinion... should I accept?

I would choose performance over those minor inconviences. Also, you need to compare those pictures by how they look, not by megapixels.

I currently have the Galaxy Nexus phone and i'm looking to replace it with a new-ish phone. I heard about how good is the Galaxy SII but the "Plus" version has just come out with slightly improved specs.
But my question is about the audio chip inside. Is it the same as the original SII (which was rather poor and has bad audio output/reproduction) or the much older and original Galaxy S? Is it the Wolfson or the Yamaha chip?

From what I can gather, the only difference between the two is an improved video core for the SII Plus.
Not much information has been revealed, but apparently the main chip set is the same.
Keep an eye out for more information, and be sure to think hard before you buy

It's an old phone, so listen to the reviews. If you expect middle of the road point and shoot camera quality in a great phone you won't be disappointed. If you want DSLR quality, find another device.
Yeah camera is OK.
For comparison, i think that Galaxy S2 and S3 have better cameras.

I own a galaxy s4, IMO is a perfect device for dimensions, screen, and spaces optimizations.
I don't like s5 form factor, and the only one thing I really miss with s4 is the camera in low light conditions.
Compared with new sensors s4 can't make very good low light pictures, a friend of mine have huawei p7 and I can see that in darkness pictures are much better than mine take with s4!
My idea is to install s5 camera in galaxy s4, I think pinout could be the same (n^ of pins are the same, but I have no datasheets).
It could be a difficult mod because s5 flex cable is not straight like the flex cable of s4 camera:

Probably it's impossible for a lot of reasons (drivers? from galaxy s5 is possible? Fit to the case? Cable?), but I ask because I know someone swapped camera sensors in other devices, and the only thing that makes it seem "old" the s4 is the camera performance :cyclops:

hi all. i am going to buy a new phone i only have two options.. Either galaxy note 3 or galaxy s5. which phone should i buy??
My only preference is great camera and loud sound... so please tell me which is better s5 or note 3??
You should get a hold of one before thinking of buying it because, it is a big phone compared to the S5. I've upgraded from a Galaxy Alpha to the Note 3 and wow that thing was huge...
Also, fingerprint scanner might be a thing that you want to look into.
As far as camera and soundwise, the Note 3 hasn't ceased to amaze me with the sound quality and loudness when using earphones, this coming from a person who has enjoyed the iPhone's DAC extra loudness.
And the camera is just amazing, really great camera performance on the Note 3. You do have more pixels on the S5 but... yeah, from my experience, nothing to point out.

It's hard to believe that before the official release date, some people already have their hands on the S7. If you have one, give us your first impressions and thoughts about the device. Tell us about the display, sound, feel, camera, quality or whatever else comes to mind. If you've had any problems, we'd like to know about that too.

shortsweet, wait for the s8, if you own s6i love my s6 cam. compapared to s7. maybe updates will help? although now i have 200gbs to store **** photos ,to my 128 s6.. and music so ,****it all , best phone is the 64 gb s6active!!! ,flat screen easily covered

I wasn't much of a Samsung lover since the S4, and I'm a huge purist that loves stock Android. However, after using the S7, I must say I'm impressed! I dropped the Android 6.0 theme so now it isn't as colorful and a little more pleasing to look at in my opinion.
