post of appreciation! - Nook Color Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Just want to thank all the developer here on XDA forum for such a great job you all are doing. It is such fun to read, learn and flash! I don't have a lot of money but I will definitely hit that Donate button a couple of times today. You guys made the Nook Color awesome! Thanks

Here here, this thing is great thanks to all the people here!

Same here for me!!!!
As a person who likes to hack around my NC get a new lease of life every time something new comes out. And thanks to B&N too for either by naivety or intention set the SD as boot!

Thanks all

I've had the Incredible since day one after three painful years with various iPhones. I even worked for Apple. Never in my life have I ever found such joy from any online forum. I believe this is my first post since I found this site, but I truly appreciate everyones input. I've learned so much over at the developer forum. Once I had my Rom set, I felt taken care of when it came to customizing. The great thing is guys is that you don't really ask much except for beer money. Beer is what has inspired me to write this, but that's it. You are very talented and I hope my drunken words of encouragement (and hopefully others who are r/o) show some support. Thanks dudes.
Drunken ramble. I'm out.
*Raises Glass* Cheers

Thank you

Just wanted to say how much I love these forums and how great everyone is with helping out and contributing. My last three phones have all been wonderful experiences due in no small part to the work of everyone on these forums. You guys all deserve a pat on the back.

Thanks brotha'
Your a part of the great community here as well so make sure to pat yourself on the back as well.
Even tho I wont meet you guys irl I really do appreciate all the insight everyone brings. Even if I disagree with somebody I still appreciate them even bringing an idea I didn't have before to my head. Its also amazing to have such a helpful community that will help each other out just for the good of the group (like a wolfpack). I continuously make people on here my contacts just so I can read up on their posts and what they had to say since I respect their opinions so much.
There is strength in numbers guys, and this group is one of the strongest out there.
Since I haven't made one of these threads in awhile either I have to say thank you guys for being a great group that I can rely upon when need be and a great source of insight
I'd also like to say thanks to all the people who've answered my silly nooby questions since Febuary. And also big thanks to developers like Enomther.
I also benefited a lot from the xds-developers gang. Thanks a lot !
It started with a HTC Diamond running Windows Mobile. I've flashed roms, modified the phone and downloaded a lot of software.
Now that I have a N1 coming up in a few days, I'm busy learning about Android and understanding the N1 to make the most of it. On xda-developers of course !
THANKS - THANKS
I too would like to say a big THANK YOU ALL!!!
If I win the lottery I'm going to build a huge developer center and get every dev on overtime... Well compensated of course lol

DEVS and the hard work

I have been lurking here for a couple of months now. Trying different roms initially then flashing different kernels. I don't know much about this stuff at all but want to learn. Hopefully I can start learning some coding soon as well. I love this forum and watching the ways in which all of these different mods, roms, etc grow within the community.
From the beginning I have taken the word (rules) of this forum at face value. I have followed (and agree with) READING THE WIKI's. To me they are indispensable. I have read (yes even the 500+) all of the posts that I am interested in learning about. This patience has paid off! Every time I follow your instructions and search threads for answers to possible issues, everything turns out right.
Finally, I came into this forum not wanting to ask for ETA's. There are so many people here putting there daily lives aside, FOR DONATIONS, for our gratification. To me there is nothing more insulting than asking for something you don't deserve. Be grateful. Think about someone asking you to put hard work (time) into something for you that you may or may not get paid for. Charity can only go so far.
Thanks to all of the devs who put there hours into this. LIFE=TIME....
You obviously don't owe us your time.
Hopefully I can start really learning the languages soon and hopefully start contributing to take some of the weight off you guys.
Great job guys!!!!

I know its a semi older thread but I just wanted to echo this same thought & didnt want to start another thread.
As with Mattlebla I've been lurkin for the past few months. With all the hard work and donation of TIME from all the Dev's & ppl whom help others have absolutely given way way more value to us Hero owners.
To all the awesome Dev's we are extremely grateful, thankful & indebted to your hard work. Thank you so damn much! That can't be said enough.

ALL THANKS to the freakin' great community at XDA!

Take a moment and Thanks our notorious Devs.

I just got my tab and I tell you im reallyimpressed to see so much development on this device & all the credit goes to our selfless, hardworking Devs. So I request ya'all to take a moment and thank all our Devs.
Thanks so much guys you are amazing. Keep up the great work.
Thank them with a money contribution.
I want to big-up Oldmacnut (aka Jim, aka Mr Stink Finger)
Not everyone can afford to contribute. That's why its a donation and not a charge...
It's nice if you can, the devs still have bills to pay too but sometimes it's just not possible to scrape together any cash (been there, done that)...
It's good to acknowledge them and thank them though if you can't afford to donate, makes them feel appreciated, after all they are sharing the efforts of their labours (which they would've still done anyway - the work not the sharing) with all us poor Android programming illiterates out here who have no technical knowledge or no idea where to begin.
Of course, showing written gratitude is important, but check download stats - contributions-to-download is one-to-thousands.
And really, this device is a luxury item. So anyone using the tab with custom roms isn't in a dire financial situation.
same here, just got my first android tab and its amazing!!
Tks to Task650's rom, its so smooth!
I wish I could tks him but I still need more posts
Thanks to the notorious Developers
Hi guys, I'm such a noob and have trolled the site for a few months to now realize that I should show some gratitude for all the good work you guys have done.
Love the noob video btw!
I have a Galaxy Tab, upgraded it with Gingerbread it's fantastic.
Thanks, Hans
I´m using custom ROM (Overcome Kratos) since de first moment i bought (ebay) my used P-1000. I can´t ask questions (don´t want to disturb using pm) and i still have some issues to make the GT run smoother. I owe "thanks" to the developer and, why not donation, as soon as the forum give me rights to post and get help.
yeah give thanks and donate.
Donated and thanked oldmacnut for his work on the cdma tabs, his roms are great

Thank You To All Who take the Time!

I want to post this because it seems that we all can go a little negative at times.
Let's all take the time to Thank the AWSOME Devs and Contributors we have in this forum and on XDA.Remember they do it for the fun, they do it because a part of a man"s brain that likes to see what makes something tick and some just like to see(metaphorically speaking) someone smile because they fixed or made they're phone better.
I'm am not going to try to name any or all of the great people we have. I'm in my early fifties and have what is commonly know as CRS disease(Can't Remember S*#t) disease and alas I would forget someone I know I'm thankful too.So remember Thank Early and Thank those that help even the ones that make a suggestion. Cuz remember he/she could be the next Dev that finds root, builds a great Rom,or creates a nice looking theme, hack.
Just thought I'd throw that out there because as a earlier thread said "there is a little too much negativity"
THANK YOU TO ALL Who have Helped me All the Devs that are a part of this XDA Community you have made this journey down the Android road FUN! and a LEARNING experience!

I would like to thank all the DEVS as well. You guys don't get enough credit for the time and effort that you put in. We (the community) do like all you do. THANK YOU!
Fdx, thank you very much for making this thread. You are right, instead of bashing people that are not appreciative, lets have a thread that shows appreciation. These devs do an excellent job, and I appreciate everything that they do. Hell, I've been running ss since 2.3.3 got root, and have loved every minute of it. All of the work that strapped365 has put into this rom, all of the time that he has sacrificed for the good of the shift, and everyone else that contributes their time and effort to our phone, making it more then what it was, I appreciate it and am very grateful.
Thanks again Fdx for making this thread, and hopefully everyone that appreciates our developers will stop on in and just give a quick thanks.
Here here...my thanks to the dedicated developers and the entire XDA community...innovation generates evolution, not negativity.

Yes, thank you to everyone that makes the Shift awesome! Thank you to all our devs who spend their own free time pushing our phones to the limit just for the challenge. Thank you to all our users who help other users just out of goodwill.
Thank you, Devs. I appreciate everything y'all do. Cheers!
