Today I ran into the following two issues:
1) IPSEC/L2TP + Shared Secret VPN - this unfortunately is not supporting NAT-T - it wants to switch to tunnel-mode IPSEC (ESP over IP), and will not tunnel the data inside UDP/4500; not all 3G providers pass ESP, however most pass UDP/4500
2) DNS cache - either of the radios off or on should result in DNS cache flush ideally; the issue being that an IP address learnt through query on Wifi or 3G may not still be valid once the list of available datalink transports changes (ie regardless of whether a new radio - dot11 or 3g - appears or disappears, the old DNS cache needs to be invalidated because the name to IP address mappings may well have
changed)
3) When creating a mobile access point using wpa encryption the save button is disabled, switching back to no encryption the save button is enabled.
Are these bugs in Android or in Darkyy's Rom. I am using 9.5 atm and will upgrade to 10 as soon as it is a final release. If these are already addressed, does anyone have any solution to the issues?
I was trying to post it in the Darkyy ROM forum but cant due to access restrictions in xda (need more than 10 posts to reply in a dev forum).
Thanks in advance for any advise.
Always Darky multiple problems
Ask Darky his posts his forum his help pages . He never gives help here .

Hopefully, this will help you all with your GPRS ventures with your handhelds, I know it helped me with my Ngage+Mac, and then K750i+Mac (when I changed phones, but kept the same provider). Hopefully it can be of some use to you guys who need the GPRS info and little facts here and there the companies might not admit.
Sticky this? Or keep bumping? Great resource to keep known, bookmark it.
The Link
I think Cynagen was going to post this link too:
http://www.taniwha.org.uk/gprs.html
It's got loads of GPRS settings for multiple Networks across many countries.
Still, didn't help My little problem though. But a great resource none the least.

****! Sorry, yes, I was going to post that link but totally forgot it! My bad, but yes, those are the GPRS settings, and if you find they've changed, you can even report those changes to the webmaster to get things updated.

MAC can be found in Start/Tools/Comm Manager/WiFi press Advanced button then advanced tab
Note that WiFi must be turned on, else it won't display the Mac-Adress, but I guess you know that already.
thanks a lot guys. i bet i went there before(advanced section) but missed the obvious
You guys are awesome
Thank you so much...all of you! I registered on this site just to post this reply.
greetings,
i just have a question:can vpn work well on i5700? iv tried many times on the device, but cannot connect. i want to know whether it is caused by the hardware or the rom. if it is because of the rom, could you please give me the rom on which vpn can work well?
(im a chinese senior high school student, just sorry for my poor english)
THX
Well, your english is good do not de moralize yourself buddy
Anyhow, regarding your query. It might be happening because of some configuration problem or else. I can recommend you to configure it again and then try it on. May be it will work out for you.
I have found some good tips for a blog which is the best in VPN Industry, i.e from bestvpnservice.
You can alsi go there to find out i5700 configuration or in description it is like Setup VPN on Samsung Galaxy Tab
Hey Guys,
here had a problem about mac address in WP7, my router's model is Linksys WRT610, wireless setting is "Wireless MAC Filter Permit" , and then when i connect my wireless router, it always not working, cause the mac address was change!!!
So anyone else had the same problem? and how to solve it!
BTW, my HD2 was activate by MS Code!
known common bug in the current ROM
no registry fix yet to to solve this issue
agree with you guys, have same problem.
So i just disable Wireless MAC Filter and enable it again,
then i refresh the list of mac address, find the new one add to permit list,
but it just for "this time"
when i connect next time...do it again...it's trouble for download GAMES...
So how about your solution?
It can't be a bug, it must be a "feature"
Either way its' driving me insane...
This really is a big problem, because each new MAC should be added to the WLAN. And this is very annoying for the IT area.
Hopefully soon be a solution!!!
Thanx in advance!!
Dann.
has anyone figured this out yet?
No, wait for NoDo update from DFT
Is there any solution already?
Do you know what's the search button for?
Anyway, it's well-known problem:

No offence, but haven't you read my last post? It's a well-known problem and there's no fix yet. You've got to be patient...
And about that comment on the search button that's still there. I'm always trying to help cause I profited alot from xda myself, but it's kinda annoying to have tousands of threads on the same issue just because noone bothers to use the search button...

you provided a link on the very same thread where you made this post.
Hey guys!
Only sense based builds seem to work with PEAP WPA2 enterprise networks (Both SD/NAND versions). There is a well known problem on Android where the phone does not seem to remember the MSCHAPV2 authentication option even if it is explicitly selected.
I wanted to post this in the dev forum but didn't want to clutter up the place but if any devs can integrate this into non-sense builds, that would be greatly appreciated.
This is the only reason I can't use pure froyo/gingerbread builds anymore as my usiversity uses this configuration for its WiFi and the alternative being me having to log in every couple of steps as I walk around the campus moving between access points.
Thanks for reading!
exact problem
i hav the exact same problem with my university. univ.of tx at dallas.
i wonder if there is a solution and if there is anyone actually reading this.
please reply if someone finds a solution.
So it is a non-sense problem
So here I was thinking it would be a Gingerbread fail.
I first flashed "LEO "Stock Desire" (Cotulla)" and all was well as I signed in to the wpa2-enterprise WiFi using PEAPv0/EAP-MSCHAPv2, but I wanted more. Both Gingerbread ROMS TyphooN and PPC_SHIFTPDA gave problems with the WiFi. Hopefully will work soon.
