Before you **** up the phone SE X8, I have a question.
I have version 1.0.0 working perfectly MiniCM 6.
If I upgrade to version 1.0.1 in June MiniCM I install the update "fix X8uv?
Another thing, as I have version 1.0.0, presumably update the update for version 1.0.1 and immediately without restarting or anything, update the x8uv.zip and it is then reset everything, right?
Thanks
Dont install uv.

This message says that if you install it, the truth is that I have fear, do not really know which is the uv.
UV is undervolting. Look here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1042929
It is not enabled by default, but if you don't install that fix and you turn on undervolting in settings you will probably brick your phone

When I clicked restart, I got stujck at the triangle? Had to reset and now I have the old build version still. When I do a system update check, it says I have the latest version, which I don't.
Stock wifi rom with tiamat kernel, rooted.

I have the Acer Iconia A500 tablet... a while ago, I rooted it and I am now running a rom... here are my current settings
Acer_A500_4.010.38_COM_ GEN1
version 3.1
Kernel Version: 2.6.36.4 HoneyVillian-1.0+
for some reason this morning it wanted me to update my system but the update failed... when I rooted I deleted 3 of the stupid games that came with it. I am still able to boot into recovery the manual way but the tablet is not allowing me to use acer recovery app and busybox will not work either. its like I seemed to have lost root rights for some reason?
what I want to do get my tablet back to stock and exept the current update to 3.2. at this point I really don't care about re-rooting it. I just want to be able to get the update.... CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS.

alright dude let me get this straight you have recovery access which is but do you want your rom to be a 3.2 rom or a 3.1 rom in my opinion if you want just a full on stock rom 3.2 w/ su access and root "http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1265847" ive used it before and it works great.
if you want a 3.2 full stock no su nothing and this also means you cant reroot you can try this one
"http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1277277"
my guess is use your decision making wisely dude give it a shot but it on your own terms
thank you... I will try the first link and see how that works... I just don't understand why I cant finish the update... I get the honeycomb bee with a red triangle above it

the reason you get this issue is because the tablet is rooted and the original recovery partition is no longer there its custom , and most custom roms always have updates coming out when they notice something has updated on a rom they made. but its because you dont the original android recovery image to update with.
best of luck

Custom HV kernel as well. I'm seeing this happen a lot with ppl running stock ROMs and custom kernels.
While it's common sense to most, apparently some just don't get it.
BTW, this thread should be in Q & A, not in development.
Hello everybody...
When i got the pjone i updated to the latest official update (28.12.11), I was having some problems so i downgraded using this tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1420728, and than i found out about oxygen rom, and wanted to flash it.
Downloaded the lates version for huawei ideos x5 (2.3.2), wiped cache and flashed it using CWM, but got stuck on the Oxygen logo. I installed 2.2.2 again and than i read here that wiping everything should solve the problem, so i tried again, but this time wiped everything before flashing but this time it didnt even get to the oxygen logo?
Does anyone knows what might be the problem?
Go to official 2.2. Then install oxygen.

Which recovery are you using? You must use genos 4.0.05 or stockwells 5.0.2.6.
5.0.2.7 from geno and 5.5.0.4 from Blefish wont work with 2.2 because they are made for 2.3
i was using blefish 5.5.0.4, noob mistake i guess. i will try with new recovery.
Use this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1130524 or this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1288223&highlight=5+0+2+6 both should work fine
Do you really offer using this oxygen rom to a miui rom user? Are there too many advantages at this rom?
Yann, it worked lile a charm, thank you very much. The rom is running smoothly.
I never used any other custom rom, but comared to the official roms this one is a lot smoother and less buggy.
Im new here, should i close the thread?

only one more question... when i go to systems it says i only have 300 something of ram, shouldnt it be 512?
I think it depends how many apps you have installed in phone memory, move some apps to SD and check if get more ram free.
I think that some RAM is reserved for system and GPU. This is why it only showes 300MB
Just flashed CM10 on my Nexus 7 and so far so good it's been working great (besides the volume button in the taskbar that doesn't toggle back and forth).
I just had a quick question regarding the OTA functionality. I flashed my Nexus 7 kernel to the latest Motley kernel (that supports 4.1.2) so I was wondering if the OTA functionality would still work (I recall not being able to obtain the OTA updates when I was running the stock ROM with Motley kernel).
No. With cm10 you will not receive ota updates

Right they rolled that up on the latest CM10 which I have...
My question really is whether the OTA update will work with modified kernel (and if it shows whether I should even push the update knowing that I have a different kernel).

I'm always at faux kernel, but of course when you installed the update you will have the stock cm10 kernel again. You just have to install your custom kernel again afterwards.

Right... now do you know if the update will even show? Somehow it wasn't with the stock ROM and motley kernel so I'm not sure if there is some sort of check for kernel version on these OTA check.
